Total scam, be careful if you're considering using this shop for repairs. I don't understand where all the good reviews come from. Based on my experience, the repair shop is totally incompetent, dishonest and greedy for easy cash. I brought my car for the diagnosis of a noise. The repair shop sloppily guessed the root cause without even reproducing the noise. When I tried to confirm whether they actually heard the noise before proceeding with their recommended repairs, they lied to my face that they checked and that was the only problem. After proceeding with their recommendation and spending $~1.5k fixing the wrong thing, the car is broken with the same issue. When challenged later, they finally admitted that they never reproduced the issue in all the diagnoses. When they finally reproduced the issue after multiple revisits, the shop seemed totally clueless what to do next but still dared proposing to charge $$$ for their "new guesses". In the end, they are unwilling to refund the repair even though the issue has not been fixed. There is no doubt, this is how they run the business, just to make some quick easy cash because they are incapable of getting the real job done. I don't understand why they are still in the business with such dishonesty and wrong ethics. They definitely put customer satisfaction at the lowest priority. With all the lies and incapabilities this repair shop is a total scam. For anyone reading, please stay away to save yourself from all the trouble I've been through. read more

If there are any car maintenance shops worth trusting, I highly recommend coming to The Garage- Burlingame. My older sister has been a regular customer to their SF location and recently serviced her Lexus here in Burlingame. For five years, I have been hesitant to bring my Lexus IS 350 to a car maintenance shop that is not Lexus. After my past few encounters with rushed and overpriced services at Lexus (including a damage to my license plate holder I bought for $80 that ended up scratching my car paint), I decided to go elsewhere. I needed the 60K mileage maintenance done for my Lexie and the price Lexus quoted me is beyond reasonable and crazy overpriced. Here at The Garage, they offered me a convenient time and day to service my car. Howard (one of the owners) is the nicest technician. He updated me with pictures of what needed to be done on Lexie and sent over the quotes so everything is written in black and white with no confusion. The customers know the exact price to pay for the services and why those things needed to be done. I appreciate that especially when I received a quote for oil change that I do not need since Lexus Dealership already serviced that a few months prior. Howard immediately removed the oil change service fee to my vehicle and resend me a revised quote. The price I ended up paying is almost half the price Lexis quoted me for the same exact job. I am glad I decided to come to The Garage to service my car. Danny (my car technician that day) also messaged me for a follow-up. These guys truly care about their customers and vehicles. Now, suddenly, two MORE parts are broken, and they want another $1,400 to fix these two. Car was fine before I brought it in, and after they work on it, part after just seem to magically break. False Diagnosis ! Lack of Accountability ! Stay away from this garage ! We took our car to the garage because we heard a noise from the left front wheel. They responded quickly saying that they were pretty sure that it's the engine mount issue, and charged us ~1.8k for diagnosis and repairing. It's a bit expensive, but out of trust we paid them, and asked them if we can see the broken part after replacing(very politely). After the repair: 1. they did not give us the replaced part; 2. The issue persisted without any changes!! It turns out that they have never been able to reproduce the issue from the beginning, and those diagnosis are basically purely from wild guessing. So during the next nightmare-alike two months, we came back to this garage so some many times, almost like begging to take their staff for a test drive so that we can reproduce the issue, and finally they found the issue is from the front left wheel axle(like the very first time we told them our suspicions) - 1. They refuse to refund the first false fix. 2. They want to charge us for confirming the axle issue, for fixing the issue, and said that they have already been so nice to us that they are not charing us for the time of testing drive... The experience with this garage opened my eye - Can some one tell me how can they do things like this ??! Or is it because all the garages are like this ??!! The estimated cost on your web site to replace the to replace a serpentine belt is: Serpentine Belt Replacement Cost for 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 $146to$197 Estimates in this range is validated in 94010. Your site does not show the cost to replace the tensioner. I know the Manufacture said it would be a 1-hour job at $130 avg. for the belt and the tensioner. The avg. cost of a belt is $25-30 and the avg price of a tensioner is $50. The Garage in Burlingame CA quoted me a price of over $400 which is double your estimate. I was referred here by my mom who brought her car here to have it inspected. She was helped by the owner, David, who she raved was very friendly and helpful. I decided to give this place a try since I was driving on a basically flat tire for a week weeks. My tire pressure light would constantly come on a few days after I pumped air into my tires. I came close to closing time, but Noel and a technician were very helpful in patching up my tires before they closed. I was able to drive another week on the tire before I came back to have my two front tires replaced. (My tire tread was worn out, so the patch wouldn't last me long anyway). Noel emailed me the tires they currently had in stock and was very helpful in coordinating a time between the two of us for me to come in. The whole process was fast and efficient and only took one hour from start to finish. Having worked at a dealership before, you get accustomed to hearing customers complain about almost every aspect of a repair job like a spoiled millenial who expects everything to be under warranty because they said so.. Some customers wouldn't let you inspect their vehicle exterior for damages until you put on their license plate frame on their car... Not even the plate itself m the cheap plastic frame that is no different from the paper clip material you find in offices... Some customers think that floor mats should be covered under the same warranty your maintenance program is listed as for oil change and fluids.. and believe 40 bucks is too expensive to spend on floor mats.. Being of Viet-Chinese ethnicity, the only thing that came to mind was the Russell Peters joke about which other asian group cannot work together with Chinese people.. cause I was dealing with a real life version of that joke on both instances. When I finally made my way out of the dealership. It was more than refreshing to see how transparent the outside shop could be compared to some of the advisors who somehow kept their job at dealerships by doing the bare minimum and having a horrible time trying to keep their CSI even at C-Level.... The pricing is very upfront here at the Garage. Howard is willing to at least talk you through what could be going on and layout the different pathways that the repair may go so you would be able to know what you're dealing with up front and not feel like you're getting ripped off ... On top of that. There's no run around about *we have to diagnose it first to tell you anything"... None of that crap... If the problem isn't too complicated... He can take the time to talk you through it unless there's too many variables that could cause the issue then he may not be tell you yet then and there.. For those who grew up hearing that outside shops ONLY USE aftermarket parts or B grade parts compared to dealerships.... You"ve been lied to for too long ..if you prefer or if they can get a hold of dealership parts department.. they'll work with you on it.. Just be mindful of how much a dealership would charge you for the same repair AND same part.. Labor costs total costs here at the garage would save you roughly 30 to 40% what you would need to deal with elsewhere...and parts pricing is pretty standard 1)Had Fuel Injector + Coils done on a 2015 435i 2)Suspension, Brakes, Rotors, and Bearings on a 2000s 330 CI.. and neither car have ended up on a tow truck as often as dealership only-repaired 5 series with Drivetrain or Fuel pump issues... It's pretty comforting when you see nothing but European sports cars in the work at and they're in clean condition and they aren't all stock :) It's even more comforting to work with someone who's very transparent with what's going on and what's actually needed vs what can we charge the customer for.... For those who go to the corporate dealership still... Not All of the advisors are bad... Just some of them don't quite care as much at all.. the way Howard does with the cars he takes in here... That's the other bonus point about this place.. he is able to control the workload and allow things to be done on time without breaking promises left and right ... If your car has mods. I was referred here from MaxCare (CarMax's extended care) and was impressed by the work and communication. My car is a Porsche Cayenne GTS and felt it was in good hands - had to replace the heater core and AC evaporator, and blower motor. While the labor to get into those parts is extensive - requires the dashboard to be completed disassembled, they kept me abreast of the status with regular communication.
