Carlos was very responsive. Needed a tow for a muffler strap that broke and he asked to send pictures of the vehicle. He even contacted the muffler shop ahead of time for us. Sent his crew out ASAP and got to the shop right away. No issues with the tow to the shop, and his driver was very respectful and attentive. read more

Honest, Integrity and a Company I would definitely recommend and have use many times.

Carlos came to our rescue when my husband and I's car tire stopped working in the middle of a busy intersection late at night. He was super fast, towed us in lightning speed and kind and helped us fix our car the same night and worked till midnight. He went above and beyond to get the car parts needed and charged a fair price. I highly recommend him because he's dependable and knowledgeable. read more

Midnite, car won't start, $140 for a jump. Sold me a battery and upon installing the next morning I find out that the vehicle manufacturer does not recommend installing the lead acid battery I was sold because push to start cars require an agm battery. Contacted the owner and we agreed on terms to return the battery. Now he is no longer responding to my calls or texts. There when you want to give him business but dishonest as a person. read more

Calderon Tow and Auto - Made this photo on the spot of the shop - Towing Near Me

Great service by an honest and knowledgeable car guy. My car died at a gas station at 6:30 am on a Sunday morning. Carlos answered the phone and came right away with a good attitude, diagnosed and fixed the problem (dead battery and blown fuses) at a reasonable price. Highly recommend. read more

Carlos saved me tonight. He went the extra mile and walked me through on how to drive my manual transmission car without a clutch pedal over the phone, thus saving me $1,000+ tow home. Great experience here. I needed a tow for my car.It couldn't start, so it wouldn't rise (pneumonic suspension system) and on top of it it was inside my garage . The previous guy wouldn't or couldn't help me. Carlos arrived, and I quickly knew by his demeanor, confidence, humility and most importantly, sincerity my car was in good hands. He took the necessary time to winch it out and up the ramp of my garage, and onto the Mercedes flatbed:) Thank you dear Carlos and thank you again :)) read more

My wife ended up getting a flat and we called AAA. Over an hour later we still had no eta on when they would be arriving. At this point, I wanted someone there asap and I looked up nearby tow companies. With already good reviews, I ended up calling Carlos at Calderon Tow. I told him the situation and he said he could be there in 15 minutes and said it would be $180. Within 15 minutes he was there, fixed my tire and had my wife back on the road. There were no hidden fees, the total was as he said $180. Super professional, speedy, and honest. Glad I found them. I will definitely call them again if ever run into a situation on the road again. read more

After a Friday night out in the city my friend's car would NOT turn on. We left the car on a random street in SF and came back for it the next morning. We tried jumper cables and even went to the nearest O' Riley and bought a new battery. It still wouldn't turn on. My friend finally decided that a tow truck was our only option. He found Carlitos on Yelp and let me tell you... the best kind of service you will ever find!! After facetiming Carlitos and trying to figure out what was wrong with the car, my friend finally asked him to come in person and take a look. Carlitos figured it out in less than 5 minutes after inspecting and shaking things around. He's literally the man!! Carlitos just KNOWS. Cars and everything related seem to be just second nature for him. A very intelligent and determined man that WILL make your car work again!! read more

Calderon Tow and Auto - Towing Near Me

I called Calderon because my 2017 Toyota RAV4 wouldn't start. I was getting a message that it had to be in P to start, but it was in Park. I tried everything I could think of, including looking in Toyota Forums and calling the dealership and nothing was working. So I gave in and decided to have my car towed to the dealership so they could figure it out. Carlos picked up the phone and asked me what the issue was and then gave me a list of things to try before I had it towed. Low and behold, his suggestions worked!! I'm so grateful to Carlos and will definitely call him again if I need a tow. He was so kind and helpful, going above and way beyond!! read more

Carlos is far and away the best in the business. I was in a bind trying get a damaged vehicle towed and every company I had contacted weren't helpful and were asking for obscene rates. As soon as I got in contract with Carlos, he immediately took an interest in my situation and was so considerate and accommodating throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to help me out and I'm so thankful and appreciative to have been able to come across someone so genuine. Listen to the other reviews on here and do your business with Carlos. You cannot go wrong with him! read more

Carlos was Awesome! He was able to help me get my car started in less then 20min! He actually was able to diagnose the issue over the phone. I initially thought my starter was done for, but carlos was able to work his magic over the phone and let me know that he was going to get my car started that day and to not stress! He was super knowledgeable and explained to me exactly what happened and what he was doing! I will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent automotive technician. In short he was quick, knowledgeable, personable and honest. Complete A+ service. Thanks a ton Carlos! read more

Carlos is a godsend if you ever need automotive assistance! I needed to move a '66 Oldsmobile Toronado that had been sitting in my father's San Francisco garage for over forty years and had four flats tires. Carlos had the expertise to get the car onto his flatbed in a matter of seconds on a very busy bus-filled street. When we discovered in addition to the four flat tires, the rear wheels were frozen and the car was unable to be maneuvered into place at the new location, Carlos went above and beyond just towing the car. He actually took my dad's car all the way to his shop in Colma and mounted, balanced, and attached four new tires to the car. As an added bonus, he managed to unfreeze the rear wheels too. He gave me a really amazing deal for the tires and his service and when he returned with the car, we were able to get the car to coast into its section of the garage. But Carlos didn't stop there! He actually managed to get the engine to turn over much to my amazement. You can tell that this man loves cars! I'm sure given enough time, he could have gotten the car started. Carlos isn't your typical towing person. He's personable, really cares about his customers and on top of that, he knows cars really really well. He'll go that extra mile to be helpful and even if that means a lot of unexpected work for him, he'll get you where you need to go. I'm grateful to know him. He made me feel like I was family! read more

My wife and I are not from San Francisco, we don't know the places to go nor do we have experience with vehicle troubles, my wife was in an accident and my insurance wouldn't even help until the next week, I was in a situation that seemed near impossible without spending thousands at this point, when i called Carlos, the first thing he cared about was if my wife was okay, the second was saving me money, and the third was to not only help me, but recommend to me what auto body shop to get it towed. I went from struggling night and day after my wife's accident trying to get insurance to help, figuring out what to do with a most likely totaled car, to having all the help I needed, thanks to calling Calderon Tow and Auto read more

My car refused to start after a short drive. I called Carlos requesting a tow to my usual garage. He asked what was going on with my car. I explained and he knew what the problem was (bad battery). He showed up with a new battery and fixed it right away. He saved my days of time and hundreds of dollars. Thanks, Carlos! read more

Carlos came to help me when I was in a real tight spot. AAA tow truck would've caused significant damage to my vehicle if I allowed them to extract the car. Instead, I called Carlos who was 30 minutes away and he immediately told me to use his service because he would not damage my vehicle in any way. He showed up 45 minutes after calling him and was able to get my car extracted with surgical precision. I was more than happy to pay the fee because of his great work positive attitude and because he was a man of his word five stars highly recommended. read more

Carlos was a godsend! My 2011 Mercedes C300 was stuck on a hill in SF and wouldn't start. I later discovered that the Electronic Steering Lock (ESL) had gone bad, which left me with a predicament as it was a difficult towing situation; the vehicle is a rear wheel drive, and the front wheels were locked by the bad ESL and fully turned to face the street, leaving all 4 wheels fully locked. The average AAA tow truck would likely have damaged the car, as this situation requires an experienced handler with a flatbed tow truck. Luckily, I found Carlos, who not only owns a flatbed, but is also a car enthusiast and a former Mercedes mechanic. Upon hearing the vehicle's make and model, Carlos accurately predicted the problem and offered to come check on the car (it was roughly 9 pm at this point) and attempt to bring it back to life. While that didn't work, it showcased his ability to diagnose the problem, and I really appreciated his willingness to help. Carlos came back the next day to tow my vehicle from SF to my mechanic in SJ, and skillfully maneuvered the vehicle up his flatbed by lubricating the front wheels and getting the rear brakes to release (he triggered the neutral release button in the gearbox). His conscientiousness was evident throughout the process and he was very careful to ensure that there were sufficient margins on both sides of the car to prevent unnecessary damage. It's very obvious to me that two of Carlos' passions are cars and helping others. He made a challenging issue go away and I am very grateful. Thank you, Carlitos!!! read more

Carlos is the best! I gave him a call on a rainy Saturday afternoon, he showed up 5 minutes later, just as he promised, and helped us get our car started. It can feel very stressful in the moment, dealing with a car that won't start, but he brought the tools, expertise, and levity to help. Thank you, Carlos! read more

Carlos is not only a car doctor, he's a superhero. The man knows his stuff, and he is passionate about what he does. Our Honda Accord would crank but not start, and on short notice, Carlos came over and immediately diagnosed the issue, as well as inspected the rest of the car. He promptly fixed the battery and even provided a ride to the local shop to get a couple of quarts of motor oil since the engine levels were low. Now that's going way above and beyond. Plus the man has a gregarious personality, expert knowledge and is just an all-around good guy. Definitely highly recommended, as he completely saved the day! read more

I didn't even have these guys tow me, and I'm leaving a great review. Over the phone their advice for towing a scooter was to borrow or rent a pickup, which would have been much cheaper than a tow truck. Stand up place! read more

Here is a perfect example of why Yelp rocks. The reviews are spot on, Carlos is a 1000 star technician, and a great, caring guy as well. He rescued me and my car, when I couldn't get it started. Then had him install a needed battery to prevent this from happening again. Another company initially contacted by my roadside service couldn't even get it jump started, Carlos handled everything with confidence, experience, and expertise. Wish I had known about Calderon from the beginning, would have saved me many many hours of agrevation, and stress. Really like him, and turned a disaster into a learning experience. Strongly recommend giving him your business. Looking forward to having him do our automobile maintenance as well, as he really knows his stuff. read more

I can't praise Carlos from Calderon Tow and Auto enough! What a guy. He took a night call and rescued me from the side of a foggy road well after he had gone to bed. He showed up quickly, really knew what he was doing (I had a broken wheel due to a pothole), made sure my car was safe to drive once the spare was on, and ensured that I stayed safely away from a busy road. This guy is outstanding and he'll take great care of you. THANK YOU CARLOS! read more

I swerved to avoid a pedestrian on a foggy Saturday night in SFO and ran over the median blowing out the 2 left tires on my Mercedes. Called Carlos and he gave me the best advice to have it towed to Costco via my AAA tow service and buy the tires there the next morning. Carlos was polite and reassuring. Note: he didn't make a dollar, but calmed me down and gave me sound and frugal advice at 9:30 pm in the evening during a stressful time for me. He is a "master technician" with plenty of experience on Mercedes autos. Very considerate, very helpful and very fortunate for me that I called him. Why service!! read more

Starter died and Carlos came fast after and i was able to get home. Down to earth guyy and offered multiple fixes.

My experience with Carlos and Calderon Tow and Auto was the absolute best. From the first phone conversation til now, I was provided with exceptional service that I'll forever be grateful for. I got into a bad car crash in the city and had to figure out a way to get it back to the east bay where I reside at and the first place I called was here. I don't know what I would've done without Carlos and his expertise. I had no idea what to do in a situation like this but Carlos walked me through step by step what to do and gave me so much advice that really helped make my entire situation easier. Carlos and I were in contact for the entire day and he was incredibly helpful. He met me at the presidio and figured out a way to get the car (which didn't drive and the two front tires were no good) onto his truck and took it to his shop. I followed him there with my U-Haul truck and car trailer and he spent a good two hours figuring out a way to get the car onto my trailer. After a lot of hard work and problem solving, he was able to get the car on my trailer so I could drive it home. Carlos treated me like family and there's not one bad thing that I can say about him or his company. I am extremely grateful I came across him, 10/10 would definitely recommend. I trust this guy so much and he is definitely a genuine man. He's the best! Thank you so much Uncle Los!!! read more

Carlos is amazing. We called him with an auto situation, and he was able to diagnose and fix the issue all over the phone and FaceTime! He was honest about how long it would take him to get to us (we were far away) and the cost, and just helped us for free remotely. That shows someone who cares about customers and helping people over the long run instead of making a quick buck. We are definitely looking forward to working with Carlos again in the future and, oddly, I'm almost looking forward to needing roadside assistance so we can reach our to him again... read more

Carlos is great! Very friendly, very transparent, very prompt. My car was making a weird shaking noise and upon calling a repair shop it was recommended that I get my car towed to the garage. Carlos is an angel. He came late in the night to help my sons and I. Someone had tried to steal my rims while it was a parking garage and he saved us. I am forever grateful to Carlos for his kindness and highly recommend this company. I've never trusted a tow company and I DO now. Thanks Carlos, you're the best! read more
