Za is a 4/10 and id like to slap some of the people that work there for being so rude. Ordered a pie to pick up and when I got there 10 mins before they are supposed to close and the big boy told me without looking up from his belly "we're closed" (even tho front door was wide open and open sign displaying) and said that I couldn't have my Za, even though I could see it ready behind the counter... I was welcomed into the store right away. It was your traditional pizza take out only. The store fit in perfectly with the town and it felt truly like I was at home. I was glad there was east parking. The pizza was evenly cooked, the cheese and sauce chili's have been a little closer to the edge on one pepperoni pizza. I appreciate fresh mushrooms and that wasn't the case here. Overall I would come back and be very satisfied. read more

If you want half cooked pizza this is your spot. Quantity over quality. The crust will be like chewing on silly puddy, the cheese is hardly melted and they overload it with way too much sauce. OMG !! That was hands-down one of the best thin-crust Sausage/Pepperoni pizza with bacon I've ever had!!

Not much else to say about a campus pizza joint that hasn't already been said. But to save you reading through multiple reviews to understand what I mean, I'll sum it up real quick. It's within walking distance just a couple blocks off NMU campus. It sits back off the road a little and easy to pass by if you're driving and not paying attention. It's small with only a bench to wait for your order. Kinda dirty and run down but hey, it's a pizza pit stop. Pizza by the slice is the big attention here, 2 for $2.75 I think. You can order a whole pizza if you want. Mine was a 14in with 2 toppings for $10. Good pizza all around, better than the chain pizza places around town. My husband and I went here because all of the locals said it's the best pizza in Marquette. This was one of the best pizzas we've had for a while - perfectly tossed dough, quality ingredients, FRESH. This is a classic "take-out only" pizzeria. The cheese stix were amazing - I liked that they used a lot of Romano cheese on them, because that really added a good flavor. The pizza was great - we ordered pepperoni with one half pineapple - the pepperoni was crunchy on top, while the pineapple was super fresh and juicy. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu here - this is a classic pizzeria and well worth the visit. Bonus was their reasonable prices and also the friendly staff. Oh, and we ended up bringing some home with us to Minneapolis - even reheated, it was still delicious. read more

I love Main Street and I will swear by it until the day I leave Marquette. I dreamt of their pizza during the summer and it was the first meal I had when I came back to college. Walked in to the pizza place and they did not have a menu nor was there a board posting items for sale. Strange, but the guy at the computer register turned it around and we went through the menu together on the computer. I ordered a chef salad and a XL pizza loaded with everything. Main Street Pizza saved the day for me! It was a snowy evening, and after a long day I wanted to hibernate in my hotel room but my stomach was rumbling. A local recommended MSP, so I called for delivery and got the chicken fajita pizza. They delivered the pizza in a timely manner, and came right to my room. I forgot to take a picture of the pizza because I gobbled it down so fast. It was very tasty! Cheesy, with plenty of toppings and a doughy crust. YUM! Kudos to them for providing paper plates. MSP is a great place for some cheap pizza slices. The food is usually pretty good. Be advised, MSP up charges for using any type of plastic, so cash is optimal. My one major complaint is the variance in service. Some employees are more than willing to help you. However, every now and then there will be an employee running the front counter who will ignore customers for a few minutes until they are caught up on work. read more

I ordered a pizza on November 11, 2019 and was told it would be 30 minutes. It is possible they tried to call, but the only thing i had on my phone from them was static. I called after an hour and was told they won't deliver the pizza because they don't have any to do that. Delivery, really? They said I could come and pick it up or cancel the order (after an hour). Went to order a pizza in person. When we picked it up it was completely wrong. When we told them, they continued to tell us it was really busy and that was the reason they screwed it up. When we explained it happened the previous time just days ago they told us " it was busy and maybe we should stop coming here." Excuse me!? We should stop coming because you are busy and can't make a pizza correctly? We should stop ordering pizza? Guess we will take you up on that and stop coming. I love Main Street. I'm from Escanaba and always went to their location in Gladstone, and was so happy when I saw they had a place up here when I started at NMU a few years ago. The only place I'll get pizza from, with pretty reasonable prices. Delivery can take a little bit on the weekends, but that is to be expected and they always let you know if it's going to be awhile. Main Street pizza is the only pizza in Marquette that doesn't taste like poison. It's amazing actually, and the price is right. The food is great. However, the last three times I've ordered delivery something in the order has been messed up. The last time, I called to complain because they forgot my Nacho Supreme. And then when it was re-delivered it came with cheese, when I asked for no cheese. Their solution was to suggest I stop ordering delivery. The food is fantastic, but the customer service seems to be very lacking. Granted, they did offer me a free Nacho Supreme, but I doubt I'll be claiming it as I'd rather not do business with them anymore. read more
