Bubbling cheese, crispy toppings, chewy but not overdone crust, - what could be better? Well, pair that cheesy goodness with a Harvest Salad made of greens, apples, pears, pecans, cranberries and BACON, then you've got it made. Enjoy this spot frequently, I'm always of fan of any pizza slice that is bigger than my hand. Ha! Great variety on their menu, the Cry'n Hawaain with Jalapeños had us in tears. Good food. Super nice people. Lovely location. The gluten free crust is fairly thick, which is a fun change from other restaurants. Would rate higher, but 3 of 5 plates and 2 sets of silverware were so dirty they should have never been put on our table. read more

One of the great pizza joints in the entire metro area. A friend of mine from White Plains NY was visiting recently and is a connoisseur of east coast/NY style pizza. We took him and his wife to MSP and he claims it would put his local pizzeria (35 yrs) out of business. Family owned. Fresh ingredients. Old school. Great service at the bar and at the tables. Worth the trip into Lees Summit. And, PLEASE, try one of their hand crafted salads. Best in KC and one salad will feed 2 people. Please try this place. read more

Pizza here is always good no matter if it's the traditional cheese or something off their monthly special menu. Salads are huge! I can order one knowing that the other half I'll be eating for lunch the next day. I haven't stayed to see how the service was, but each time I've ordered to go, everyone was very friendly and you can see the owner behind the counter taking orders and visiting with the customers. This place will not leave you disappointed. If you're in the area, give it a try! read more

Pizza is awesome, when they give it you warm. I have ordered pizza for both eat in and to go. Eat in was good and hot, like should be, but to go has always been cold. The staff's customer service is willing to fix their wrong doings, so there's a plus. Its really bad when you have to reheat your pizza after arriving home. If I wanted to cook my pizza, I would have gone to Papa Murphy's; its half the cost! read more

This is a great place to meet friends and drink and snack. The pizza is ok but if I just wanted pizza I would go somewhere else. The appetizers are great and they mix a strong drink. Bottom line if you want a place to hang out drink and snack this is a good option. read more

Don't let the small town feel fool you. The main slice was unbelievable. Service is top notch. The crust is crisp and flavorful. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. The cherry on top is their ice cold beer. Great experience. Only downside is the limited seating. read more

Raving new fans from across the state!!! You guys made me look like a genius. Definitely no easy task, Carried out an awesome 18" Maui Waui and 18" KC Stockyard to feed my visitors from The Lou. Home Run!!! Maui was perfect blend of jerk, citrus, and slight bite. Stockyard brought the blend of top of the line protein to satisfy any hunger. No better pie on the KC metro folks!!! Great stuff. My husband & I were starved for a good eat in pizza restaurant in Lees Summit and they hit the mark. Great Caesar salad, pesto bread sticks and of course pizza. We haven't tried the calzone yet but hear they are wonderful! The only complaint I have is we had their pizza of the month for April (Taco Pizza) and it was less than disappointing. The base was refried beans causing it to be dry and hardly no meat, then topped with traditional taco pizza toppings. The addition of shredded cilantro was way too much. Cilantro is definitely an herb you either love or hate. We happen to hate it so obviously the pizza was ruined. We each had a piece and boxed the rest to go. We promptly tossed it when we got home. We didn't complain because that's not what we do but in hindsight spending $22.00 for the specialty pizza and being that unhappy with it was our bad for not saying something. Overall, Main Slice is a local favorite and we will continue going but stick with the Stockyard, Caesar salad and a couple ice cold beers! read more

Whenever I amin Lees summit for work I always stop by this place for their Hawaiian pizza and spinach salad, it has never been anything but awesome! I love the vintage feel and the wait staff is attentive but not overly so. read more

Lee Summit is greatly lacking in GOOD independent restaurants so we were really excited to try this place out after reading about it in Lee Summit magazine. We ordered garlic cheese toast and pizza. Plus 2 root beers (which previous post said they did not have). It was delicious! Friendly and prompt service. Kid friendly. Loved the interior. We will definitely be back. read more

We went to Main Slice during the Summit Art Fair, expecting it to be busy. It's still new, so maybe that was why it was not full, because the pizza and service were excellent! Our party of 3, including an 11 yr old, shared an 18" Mediterranean pizza, with 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 without. Adults had a beer (great on tap selection.) Pizza had a thinner crust that was both crispy and chewy and all good! We had plenty left over. Next time we'll order a salad with it, and maybe try the gluten free crust that is made locally but not in store. Impressed with the service and the taste, as well as the atmosphere (3 large tvs behind the bar where we were able to watch the MU game.) read more

The Tale of the Disappointed Dinner Once upon a time in suburbia there was a family filled with a hunger that only the kings pizza could quench, they set on an mystical journey to find best pizza in the Summit of Lee. ....Okay enough of that....I had a coupon and a famished family. I thought I would give the Main Slice a try. It sits in a spot in downtown Lees Summit that several restaurants have sat before. On the phone, the fellow who answered, was very chummy I thought it would be a "everyone knows your name" kind of bar and pizza joint, he took my order and said "be ready in 20". Well, 36 dollars for two pizzas I thought I would show up in 30. Showed up and he rang up the wrong order and was upset when I wasn't "Mike". Mike if you are reading this, I don't know what you did or he did, but he misses you dearly, please come home Mike. Once he found my ticket he said that my order would be up in" a little bit". 35 more mins. later, an hour and five for those keeping score at home. No update, no offer of a seat, drink, discount or a kindly shoulder shrug. I inquired about all of these and I then wondered if I would get out of there without an old fashion bar fight. Even the waitress shouted at me "have a great day" dripping with sarcasm and snark. Well, that spot was several restaurants before and I am sure will be another one to come. I want to support local and was hoping for the best. Unfortunately the server Cody was extremely rude and unthankful. The food was good but the orders at the table came out at staggering times where some were done eating before another calzone arrived. We inquired with the server,Cody again, who said it should be five more minutes. Fifteen minutes later we inquired again and he said he can't control the kitchen. No sorry, no we are super busy and the kitchen slammed, just it wasn't his problem. Will may give it another chance but if Cody is our server we will move elsewhere. He gave us one of the rudest restaurant experiences. I hope the owners realize the negative impact he has on their business, as repeat customers will be rare if he is the server. read more

This place did not impress me nor my husband at all. They may just stay in business due to their proximity to bars and drunk people are not picky when it comes to late night eats. The pizza tasted a bit like a frozen pizza and the jalapenos came from a jar. I would skip this place and make the trip out to a different local pizza joint near longview community college. read more

Great pretzels and cheese, pizza was really good too. Service was so so. Needed refills on drinks a good 15 minutes before waitress checked in. Had a coupon and would go again if we had another one as the pizza is a bit over priced. read more
