First time ordering carry-out from Longbell. I've been here a couple times to dine-in and I've always gotten the pizza which is amazing!! This time I opted for the smoked chicken tacos with corn tortillas instead of flour. It came with three chicken tacos, pico, lettuce, and a lime aioli sauce. They were pretty tasty but not super hot which was probably on me and the time it took from when I picked them up to when I started eating them. I will say, having tried their pizza, I would prefer their pizza but the tacos were a good try! Definitely check this cool spot out and try out all of the variety from the menu!! The three stars are because the tacos compared to the pizza I've had here before are pretty simple. They were yummy don't get me wrong, but not on the same level as the pizza. We had a wonderful server named Josh, who took very good care of us. My wife and I shared a Birria sandwich. It was kind of like a Mexican French dip. We very much enjoyed it! It was a wee bit salty, but that's OK. We also ordered the tater tots fried in chili oil. I thought they were delicious but they were pretty spicy. They were too spicy for my wife. One of my great pleasures of living in this small neighborhood is going to Long-Bell Pizza. The service is wonderful, friendly, and attentive! Every single meal I've had there has been delicious and their pizzas are delicious, distinctive and inspiring. Coming from a former New Yorker, this is high praise. The restaurant has cool art, sports are on the TVs, and there are neon lights behind the bar. If you are looking for a quiet, candlelit dinner, this is not the place but if you want to meet your neighbors, eat delicious food and enjoy friendly service, you should stop in. It's great. So we came here with friends and had a really great dinner! We loved the "Wings by the each" $1.50 Happy Hour so much that we scheduled another time to come back. The whole jumbo wings are super juicy and full of flavor. My son demolished the BBQ sauces ones and our friends loved the buffalo sauce. The salads we shared were also impressive. The $7.5 Chop salad was very good as was the $8.50 Brussel Salad. Generous portions too. Add the arcade game room and it's perfect to for families as the kids are entertained. So glad we came back. I had a personal pan pizza (Buffalo) which was pretty disappointing- it was already cooked Buffalo chicken (deep fried probably the same Buffalo chicken used in the salad) on top of my pizza. I was so sad I couldn't order the crab Rangoon pizza after seeing it online but I got the armadillo egg pizza and it was AMAZING! The candied jalapeño is a fantastic touch. I also got the Monte Cristo which we didn't like too much, there was no powdered sugar or green onions and I didn't realize it would have fried chicken instead of grilled but that was my fault it said crispy on the menu. A little sad I wanted a chop salad that I saw on their old menu but whoever I talked to said they do a buffalo chop salad now and I could just get it without the chicken (which is great because I can't have the breading) but it wasn't a chop salad and it obviously had buffalo chicken on top. A waste and after I picked the chicken off it was just romaine lettuce with a tomato. They make their own margarita mix and on the menu for the week was a cotton candy margarita. While I didn't have it, it did sounds pretty awesome. A while back Hubby read an article about a place that offered "Kansas City Style Pizza". We are big fans of pizza and we've had Chicago Deep dish and extra thin and fold-y New York Pizza as well as all kinds of thin... hand tossed...wood-fired...artisan...honey-whole wheat crust..and on and on. We have our favorites, of course, but we just "like" pizza, period! The Long-Bell Restaurant owners describe Kansas City Style as mostly to do with the crust they developed--crispy on the outside with a softer, chewy layer of dough inside, topped with your chosen ingredients, such as those which were put on my luncheon personal pan pie, then covered by the tomato sauce and the plentiful cheese sauce which was white, smooth, creamy on my Philly Cheese Steak pie today along with bell pepper, red onion and Philly steak. Hubby & Sis shared a Supre which has pepperoni, Italian sausage, bell pepper, onion, olive, mushrooms. Our other lunch companions chose a large variety of menu items such as a cheeseburger, Patty Melt, a Spicy Chicken Zing (griddled chicken breast, Swiss cheese, sliced pineapple, red onion, mayo and spicy Asian sauce on a bun). All sandwiches and burgers are served with a choice of side: Parmesan fries, garden or Caesar salad or house-made chips. There is a Lunch Only Special menu that offers several of the best sandwiches and the personal pizza which also includes a side and a drink for a very attractive price. Long-Bell also has a very nice printed menu of specialty beers but disappointingly many on the current printed list are already 'unavailable'. I chose an interesting Cucumber Crush sour from 10 Barrel Brewing Co in Bend, OR. It took some getting used to and I'm not sure it's my particular taste profile, but it was fun to try something different.
