Simply amazing and unique hand soaps, all 100% handmade shampoos, lotions, oils, candles, and much more. The decor and different scents was just beautiful, and the customer service was just incredible. The shop owner and her son were amazing answering any questions and explaining all the ingredients on the soaps, lotions and oils. Love that they will be offering classes to learn to make your own soap, and candles. All the soaps smells so great making it extremely hard to just choose one, they are beautifully hand crafted, and just so elegantly prepared.

This store stocks many other local businesses and it's a great chance to try something new! Many vegan, ingredient conscious gifts and itsms. For those who refill, they also sell bulk soap so you can bring in your container. I've personally only purchased wax melts, and they are the best! I only wish I could buy more, but they last so long and their scent throw is great! Many candle-makers don't make melts and I was elated that they had so many in stock. The owner and her son are fantastic - always happy to help and they work very hard. The window displays change more often than Macy's, and the themes are so cute (they even had a Barbie theme over the summer)! They are always happy to give recommendations, chat, and it feels so welcoming whenever I go in - they don't make it easy to leave without half a bag of free samples. Their doggie floor manager is a plus too! He is always checking up on customers and is very sweet. All in all: this is a great place to stop in! Love Dierdre and Matthew and hope you meet them soon~

All the staff are NASTY and trash attitudes--abusive language, short-tempered, zero knowledge, and worst of all, scowls and sneers. The cashiers can see if you are Rouge, Sephora's highest loyalty level, and if you're a Sephora credit card holder and they have not been trained to value any of that. It's time to stop giving Sephora money since none of it is going back into training or service.

I was squeezing the last bit of moisturizer out of the tube, hoping I had enough to get me through the day. I did, but just barely... so it was time for a skincare run. This location was closest to me so off I went. I'm unsure if it was the sale, it being Sunday, or both but it was insanely busy. Not to mention swarmed with tweens. It was challenging to try different products due to the store being really packed. Despite this, staff were very helpful. Checkout was a quick despite the line looking long. I really appreciated the minis of items. It's nice not to have to commit to a full size when you're unsure. I would have stayed to browse more but it was too peopley & I guess that's expected for a Sunday. I'll definitely be back if I need something same day though!

Wish I would've seen the reviews first. After buying here, I realized they were severely inflating…read moreprices (profiteering), upcharging by 70% -100%. Yes, you read that correctly, increasing prices by 100%. As in, I found several products, including wigs, that I had bought from this store (same exact brand, style, and color) and realized this store had charged me almost DOUBLE. All the stickers about the regular/retail price and sale prices, are LIES. There is sometimes a bit of an increase when you purchase an item in store, SOMETIMES, MAYBE 10-15%, but it should NEVER be as high as 70% or 100%. Some of their sale prices, are higher than the FULL retail price online. This is called profiteering. (Similar to price gauging). Any style or item you see, you can find at Sam's Beauty online or other stores, for almost half the price. It's obvious they do this based on the race of their customer base, as it is mostly black. When I came back here a second time, I did notice what the other reviewers are saying was true. They DO follow black customers around the store, or hover over them as they shop, especially if they are buying hair, wigs, etc. This is what made me leave, decide to shop online, and ultimately how I found out that they were profiteering, excessively inflating prices. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Don't give your money to businesses who treat people of color like this, and don't make excuses for them just because you may have had a good experience, when others clearly did not... I definitely won't be back. Proof of the price hikes are added.

Clearly African-American and a woman, and all the Asian employees have been really nice and friendly to me. I have definitely been to a couple of beauty supply stores that are EXACTLY how the rest of these reviews describe, but the team here is pretty chill with me. Either I'm catching them on really good days or it's the products I buy. I don't go in here for anything other than relaxer, various facial wash, hair oil and then a couple random things like eyebrow razors. I bring this up because the odds of me returning anything are slim to none. I'm not trying to discredit these other reviews. I've just never been put in a position where I had to return anything. This place kinda reminds me of Kohls. They're forever trying to give me a discount on something even if I didn't ask for it. And that's before I can punch in my rewards phone number. I think they've been here a couple years now. I used to visit a separate beauty supply store on Howard, but this one is larger. The aisles are still congested if two people are in the same aisle, but traffic is fairly light. About the only time I had a problem was with a non-Asian employee. I asked if she worked there because I needed to find something, and she rolled her eyes at me and said "No." I kept walking, and she stopped me to tell me she did indeed work there. No name tag. No kinda uniform. But she was putting things away, so that's why I thought she was either a really neat customer (I worked in retail before so I'm the type to reorganize shelves as a customer) or an employee. I saw her one time and never again, so it seems like they get rid of rude employees. Again, I don't discredit what any of the people in this comment section are saying. But my PERSONAL experience with them over the past couple of years has always been pretty easygoing and polite. They don't play about their metal detectors going off and will stop you, but I saw that in my childhood (black-owned) beauty supply store too.

Dr: Warner assured me that he could help. Whereas other surgeons were arrogant and short, Dr. Warner was humble and thorough. He was kind to everyone and very talkative when interacting with my family as well. The surgery went very well. Dr. Warner was kind enough to send flowers to my house and equip me with a special makeup palette to cover up bruising. I've never heard of any doctor adding those special touches (note: a friend of mine had a different procedure with Dr. Warner more recently than I and did not have anything sent to their home, so I'm not entirely sure if this is something his practice still does). Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Warner. Do not "chance" your rhinoplasty with a doctor that isn't highly skilled or trained in it. I learned this the hard way. Go with the best! Also, the doctor is cute.

Dr. Warner is a Fraud - Stay Away!…read more I want to warn everyone about my horrible experience with Dr. Warner. I have had three failed nose surgeries under his care. My nose is still crooked, I am still bleeding, and despite all his promises, there has been zero improvement. During the third surgery, he took cartilage from my rib, which resulted in a painful infection under my breast. Each time I saw him, he assured me things would get better, but instead, he kept injecting sterilizing injections into my nose--without any real solution. I finally told him that I would be suing him for his incompetence. Now, just because I spoke the truth, he suddenly refuses to see me. He feels threatened because he knows he has done wrong. That's fine--I'll see him in court. If you look at other reviews, you will see a pattern: botched surgeries, infections, and serious complications. He doesn't even wash his hands properly, which is why so many patients suffer from infections. His entire practice is a fraud, and he should not be allowed to operate on anyone. I strongly urge everyone to research his educational background before trusting him. If anyone wants to see proof of what he has done to my nose, feel free to reach out. Stay far away from Dr. Warner. He is a pure fraud.

All "kidding" aside, stop in and you'll want absolutely everything in the shop. I mean all of it...even sweet Megi--the queen bee who taught me a thing or two about beeswax candles. Did you know that burning 100% pure beeswax candles can purify the air quality and allergens in your house? Though I was in the store yesterday, I couldn't get myself to write a review until I had the chance to try some of the beyond amazing soap samples I received from Megi. I smell so good, and my skin feels pure and soft. I now understand the value of using quality products. Their specialty handmade soap is a goat milk and honey soap. Not only is the bar they make so pretty and artistic to look at, it smells so good you'll want to eat it. Their products are small batch, and I think Megi told me some of the soaps take six weeks to cure, but don't quote me on that. They also carry Savon De Marseille soap from France. Apparently you won't find this soap anywhere in the area. If you've passed by this shop a million times and always wanted to stop in, just do it. There is parking out front or across the street, and after you pick up some soap you can head up the street for a cup of coffee at Arriva Dolce. It's totally worth it. Whether you need a gift or want a personal scrub soap for yourself, you can find it here.
