I just purchased a home in Huntington Beach and am getting settled into the area. I found this Mail Box Express place when I was getting coffee at the drive through in the shopping center parking lot. I just needed a few copies to finalize a package to mail out. I went in and asked if they made copies. He said yes and then proceeded to check in the UPS packages. I sorted my copies on counter and asked if I could get a few copies and then provide the remainder so that I could keep all originals in order. He told me no - all at one once only - i was like, I can't provide at one time - i just need to make sure they are all in order. He wouldn't do it! I will never be back again! I spend about $500 a month on shipping/copies/etc. for my business and if I am Huntington Beach for 15 years (length of my office lease) - then that's a loss of $45,000 - just because of a rude person not willing to assist with copies! I would highly recommend going elsewhere!!! read more

I agree with most people here. Zero stars. I had a shady experience after repeatedly asking the man how much it would be to ship a backpack to MI that he had already weighed and knew the state it was shipped to as well as zipcode. He typed the zipcode in his computer to calculate I assume and I then again asked him how much it was. No response. I'm thinking ok he just can't hear but I think he is scammy. He prints out a label with tracking and placed it on my package and says ok take a picture and send the tracking. I didn't realise he was in a way tying down his sale before giving me my price. So I sent the tracking to my buyer on eBay and then he says "ok $20.78. He is just pulling prices out of nowhere. Not acceptable. read more

RUDE AND GRUMPY OWNER!!! Maybe the owner of this store doesn't need my business or has become so complacent with his current customer base that he no longer cares. I've had a mailbox here for 3 years and EVERY time I go in, the owner is rude to me. He throws my packages on the counter, gets irritated if I ask to use his pen to sign a form, it's rediculous! The staff is friendly and efficient. The owner's little dog barks at everyone that walks in the store making for an unfriendly atmosphere. If you need a store in your store get a friendly dog like a golden retriever that doesn't bark at everyone! read more

I read the reviews in here and had to give my 2 cents... Jay, the owner is WONDERFUL. I come in with stuff to mail and he boxes it and secures the breakable things so they arrive safe. He always gives me the cheapest ways to get my items where they are going.... He and i were talking today when i sent out my xmas packages and he said he tries to educate people to be careful how they send gift cards because once they leave his facility, he has no control over if they are stolen and it is so upsetting even to him that people don't get their items.... Alex the new owner is awesome. I just had get something notarized and although he is waiting of this new notary certification he was honest and sent me to AAA. I never knew in 35 years of being a member they offered that service. Alex got my stuff Fed Ex for same as the big office, but faster and scanned and emailed me a crucial page just being nice. I sent some confidential papers through Mailbox Express. The papers were going from Huntington Beach to San Diego. They were sent registered, return receipt, and the cost was $18. The papers still haven't gotten to San Diego- 3 weeks later. I went for a refund. The owner refused to give me one, and said it's the fault of the postal service. I could have walked the papers to San Diego quicker. The owner was rude, and will definitely never see me at his store again!! read more

RIP OFF What a RIP OFF! This guy charged me $50 to notarize two documents and $26 to mail two items that regularly run me $16 at the post office. I questioned him on his 'up charge' an he claimed it was $3 per item above and beyond the post office fee. Well there was a larger discrepancy then that! This guy is a CROOK! Ok, so first thing I want to address is the old ownership. I've been going to MailBox Express now for over 8 years and the Asian ownership are/were hardworking, polite, helpful and courteous. The people I see complaining on these reviews more than likely are the problem OR they don't understand Asian culture AT ALL. Jay was great, is great and only has issues with customers when they themselves are rude and aggressive. One can't rush into a store and expect everything to be dropped because they themselves are late mailing something. So please rest assured from a happy client that's been with them for almost a decade that the 1 star reviews are probably the people with the character issues and are impatient and rude. NOW ON TO THE NEW OWNERSHIP! Alex and his wife Samira are incredibly warm, neighborly and make an immediate great impression. We've already had several heart to heart conversations and their customer service and people skills are exceptional. If you wish to do business with people that treat you more like close family friends than a stranger, then this is definitely your spot. Their warmth and genuine way of being is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise self-centered, culturally ignorant society. It's clear that most bad reviews on this page are because people rarely take the time to consider the culture and back ground of the people around them. So a word of advise - definitely use MailBox Express and soak up the good neighborly consideration and service you'll get from Alex and Samira. You won't be disappointed. I've actually been here 3 different times in the last month or so, I can see how some people can say the Owner is grumpy but he's never been grumpy to me. He's always been very helpful, shows me the least expensive way to get my stuff sent out and basically does it all for me. He's always been very helpful and friendly. This Mailbox Express is awesome! This location is family-owned. Everyone is very professional, prompt, and helpful. Best part..all of my Christmas packages made it on-time. I had a number of things I needed to get done in a very limited amount of time, and Samy was so helpful, from copying emails, copying other documents. She was so willing to do what ever I needed and with a smile. She didn't make me feel like I was burdening her at all. Very friendly atmosphere and very conscientious about keeping things sanitized during this season, they were constantly wiping things down. I walked in to ask a simple question about a package I dropped off. The owner raised his voice and shouted "How would I know! You should go to the post office!!" It was humiliating because there were other customers in the room. I've been a paying customer for 2 years and had been patient with his attitude, but this was absolutely uncalled for and disrespectful. This place is a joke. Unless you're dropping off UPS or FedEx package, don't give this place ANY business (only reason I mention above is because they have to scan the packages proving they received and are responsible for the package until the delivery truck arrives). Guy was very rude when I attempted to drop off a postage paid USPS package along with my UPS packages saying, "I'm not responsible for the package, you should go to the post office". Then I asked if a USPS driver comes to pick up packages at this facility and he said, "Yes". Not wanting to jeopardize my package, I said I'd take it to the post office to which he replied with a snark, "Yea, that's a good idea". How do places like these with piss poor customer service/people skills stay in business in today's market. I truly believe if it weren't for the UPS and FedEx drop off, this place couldn't stay a float. Do not go here for FedEx. I was charged $55 for sending a single document on Friday at 1 pm from HB, CA to be In GA Monday by 3pm. The package did not arrive until Tuesday. I filed a claim with FedEx who guarantees delivery and they said they had already issued a refund to Mailbox express for $30.35!!!!! WTF? So this loser here not only charged me an extra $25 just to take my single 8x11 document over the price of fed ex, they are refunding $30 back to him. Horrible service. I just came in to drop off a UPS package. I asked for a receipt and the man told me to take a picture of the tracking number because he can't print anything. I asked him if I could have a receipt that I dropped it off at this store and he told me to take my business elsewhere!! Unbelievable! This is the last time I come here!! I usually go to the store off of Atlanta and Magnolia (Vons Shopping Center) and they ALWAYS give me a tracking receipt for proof of drop-off. read more
