There is room for improvement in the scheduling department. Although arrival time windows are provided, we've had prearranged times on a few occasions and those were not adhered to. We had to cancel one instance due to this and were told there were several people that had called out as to the reason why. That's fine, but the experience following that was what made us ultimately cancel any further appointments. We've had a few rude maids and rarely do we see the same person. This makes it frustrating especially with how often we have to explain specific preferences that we've been told are in our record. I am not overly impressed with their work on most occasions, again probably due to inconsistency in staff. At our last cleaning, one of the maids just left my front door wide open when she left and my dog escaped. I also found a bag of trash in my driveway. She also parked in front of my mailbox when there is ample driveway and street parking. My mailman refused to deliver our mail that day due to that. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND based on the number of headaches we've experienced. Maybe we're not made for the larger maid companies. We've had much better success with smaller companies and consistent staff. read more

I would like to drop the rating after having more experience with this company. We have had a minimum of 7 people (that I can remember) service our home in 18 months. Per communication from Jenny, they either left or were fired. We originally left due to turnover, and came back after a 5 month hiatus. The people they hire do an awesome job, but the company itself left me feeling disappointed. The last communication we received insinuated that we needed to clean more before they came because they found a bottle under our entertainment center after New Years, and we piled the trash in the bedroom too high (Christmas wrapping paper), while also notifying us that the service person was leaving due to pregnancy and they would be assigning yet another person to us. Poor customer service, poor communication, and very high turnover earn them a lower rating. read more

Last week I called Maid Pro to gather information on what the estimate for cleaning our home would be. As the very curt woman on the phone spoke with me and was digging for information about me and my personal information I asked her what she planned to do with this information once she gathered it up. She responded by telling me it was for follow up calls about the estimate she was about to provide. I not only thought their prices to be overpriced but they've called me now 5 times by leaving me voice mails. I do not want them calling me anymore and will be sure to let them know next time they call. At this point it's sheer harassment. Why would you not get it; if the person you are leaving messages for does not respond to your messages it's safe to assume they aren't interested. Wow, please go away and do not come back... it all started after I had won a gift certificate for a kitchen cleaning by Maidpro in Smithfield. I called them up to schedule the cleaning and honestly, everyone I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and cheerful. I agreed to their estimates but obviously - since they hadn't been in the house yet - I assumed there would be some adjustments to estimates, needs, expectations, etc. I have worked with cleaners in the past and had some experience with how these things can fluctuate. I fully understood that expectations for both parties can change and I was prepared to be flexible. She was there for a long time. She maintained composure but honestly, by the end she seemed frazzled. The floors ended up with only the barest vacuuming. That being said, I was still impressed with the overall cleaning and was certainly grateful for the help! I paid the fee I had been quoted. I gave her a decent tip and a rave review. I told her how amazing she was and how much I appreciated her efforts. The most bizarre aspect of the phone call: "If and when you can get everything in the house restored let us know. We could consider cleaning it again." I felt like I had just gone on a blind date and been told, "you are too old, too fat, your eyes are the wrong color, and I don't like your hair. But if you can fix all that, give me a call and I'll consider taking you out again." Gee, thanks. I feel so special! ;-) I have looked all over the official Maidpro website and have seen nothing to indicate what kinds of floors they will clean and what floors they won't. I haven't seen anything to let me know what conditions need to be present in order to be considered a "good fit." Nothing on the website backs up the manager's insistence that I fork over $1,000s of dollars to redo the house to their exacting standards before they could even consider cleaning again. To be honest, I'd love to plop down $100k and totally restore this 125+ year old house to perfect condition! Sadly, I am not independently wealthy and I'm forced to work on this house project by project. In the meantime, I have a household to run and was hoping for some help with the cleaning. I have seen repeated claims on their website that they will work with clients to come up with customized cleaning plans. This seems like this could have been an option for me, but I guess my money simply wasn't green enough :( When I worked with a previous cleaning company in Virginia, they came to the house, we went around and confirmed everything they would and would't do, she wrote up an estimate and that was that. I am honestly confused as to why they were so unwilling to work with me at all - under any circumstances. What had I done? I had been only pleasant, accommodating, flexible, and willing to pay. All I asked in return was for the dust and hairballs be cleared away and surfaces scrubbed down. They had two weeks to talk to me about their expectations and needs. I would have been happy to arrange a different schedule, I would have been willing to have them say there were certain floors or whathaveyou that they would prefer not to clean. In other words, I would have been eager to work with them to come up with a customized cleaning plan.  I believe in my heart that these are good and kind people. I am sure they are sweet, funny, kind, and well loved by friends and family alike. That being said, I am honestly confused by this behavior. I never went to business school, but maybe there is a school of thought that rejecting clients is a good way of getting more business? Or maybe this franchise is already so incredibly successful they only work when the mood strikes? I have no idea. I will say this: Their phone skills are excellent and the jingle is certainly catchy. It may even be that they are excellent regular cleaners. I honestly have no idea. My experience was that they were quick to say yes and make a deal, then just as quick to quit at the last moment. I had been using Maidpro for a little over two years and up to 2014, they had been great. In 2014 I found that I had Louis Vuitton bag missing from my closet. I knew the cleanng person took it because my closet had been cleaned and that has never been done. I contacted Jenn Ackley and explained what occurred and she explained I was second customer who complained about something missing. I filed police report with town of north Smithfield and Jenn Ackley also provided information to police stating former employee might have been responsible. This is why people shouldn't use MaidPro in Smithfield the owner first tried to avoid reimbursing me for the bag which was 825 dollars by telling me she couldn't submit a claim without police report which I filed police report and since the supposed employee no longer worked for her what can the police do her word against the former employee. She was liable for the loss since Her employees used to come to my home and took one of my possession Possessions. She didn't want to file the claim because her rates will go up. This purse was buried in the back of my closet so someone would have had been looking for something and thought I would have not noticed it missing. Here what is the most disappointing part Jenn Ackley said she wanted to work something out with me to make resituition here is what she offered. Oh she came back with saying that the last time they cleaned my 1600 sq feet condo it took them 4 hours to clean it then previous 2.5 hours due to all the cat and dog hair. I have had the American cat for 2 years and puppy for 6 months all of a sudden it takes longer now since they still had to clean same way regardless of how much more supposed hair there was. Here was her off to make good on the theft. I was paying 94 dollars once a month for cleaning she came back with since she should charge me 4 hours with all the cat and dog to clean that normally it would be 136.00 a month but she would take off 15 bucks a month to make restitution for the loss of the purse and she hadnt charged me one month after this happened. So I would pay 122 a month up from 94 dollars supposedly due it takes longer to clean my condo due to the cat and dog hair that would have been there since last year? So she wants to make it up by racking up the costs do she doesn't really take a loss????? I am working on taking her to small claims court and trying to get north smithfield police to investigate all her employees. It was convenient the info she gave police was for a employee who no longer works for her???? A lot of other customers have given her great reviews wait until ther have something taken . read more

We could not be happier with our service from Maidpro since we hired them in February this year. Our provider, Tacey, is absolutely wonderful and does such a great job. Whenever I am home when she arrives, she is the friendliest and sweetest to talk to and it doesn't hurt that she is loving and great with our dog. Tacey always leaves our home spotless, sparkling, and smelling amazing and I love reading her little follow-up notes. We've been with MaidPro now for about 4 months and we really like it! We have a weekly cleaning with Marissa and have no complaints. When looking for a cleaning service, in addition to the quality of cleaning, we were very concerned about how the cleaner would interact with our pets. Marissa is wonderful! She is so kind to them (I know because sometimes if I'm home during a cleaning, I hear her talking to them!) and she has even been able to get our puppy in the crate - no small feat!
