Responding to Lynne's comment after she claimed we never met: we met and you told me you were coming from a doctor's appointment in Agawam, which is what made you late along with traffic in Northampton at 11 AM. You quoted me over $3,600, but needed me to get you exact measurements, which I don't need to do since I realized how I should have been treated. You argued with me over how long my dishes had been sitting out for, then picked up an Item out of my sink to discuss why you believed it had been sitting there for longer than a week, despite me telling you that my spouse cleans them every weekend (you stated it had solidified and it was frozen fudge, which is what things do when they are put in a freezer). You discussed your Girl Scout events and organizational shelving you have for those events. You said you could sell some items for me and you keep some in your boyfriend's mother's home during some part of the year, so it isn't a big deal since you have the extra space. You told me that you were a cancer survivor. I met with you lol. Trust me... longest, most stressful morning of my life. My real review stands.

I had a great deal of frustration with TLC. I I had them do a thorough cleaning of my house before…read moreI moved in. I asked them their hourly rate and they said they quote by the job; not the hour. Once they were there, they told my husband it would cost more and we agreed to pay the increase. Then, I had to have them come back as they missed a number of places in the kitchen and left crumbs, etc. I then asked for a quote for regular cleaning. Again, I was told it was by the job and they had different prices for once or twice a month. I asked for a usual cleaning (bathrooms, kitchen, vacuuming and washing floors) and we agreed on the price. When the cleaner arrived, she said, "what do you want me to do?" I said, "clean the house as per your proposal." She still did not seem to be clear on what I was looking for, so I volunteered to walk the house with her. She informed me that the price included a maximum of five hours (so there is an hourly rate?). I said, okay, when you're at about 4 1/2 let me know, and I'll prioritize what's left. Someone dropped by, so they left without even speaking to me. Then, I received a bill that was higher than the quote (again). I called and asked about it, and was informed that it had been six weeks since their quote and they start their timers the minute they walk in the door. They "didn't even charge me for the walkthrough." I believe everyone deserves to earn a living, but this is ridiculous. You can't quote one price and then charge more every time you come to someone's house. It's bait and switch. They saw the house before they cleaned it. The job they did the second time seemed okay, but why are you asking me what I want done if I already had a proposal? It's bait and switch and I want to warn others about their business practices.

Lisa was able to adjust her schedule and send two technicians later that afternoon! They brought all their own equipment and had a great system for cleaning the entire house. They did exactly what I suggested, were very self-reliant, completely efficient, and the place was basically spotless at the end of the three hours. (6 working hours, considering it was two people). Payment was easy, taking a credit card over the phone. This is great because, while they do accept cash or check, sometimes arranging for cash on hand is difficult. The technicians were professional and friendly. It was a pleasure to have them in the house! They were very careful around the baby, starting downstairs. And then while everyone was scrubbing and dusting, I was inspired to organize a "junk room", so by the time they came upstairs and the baby woke up, I had the room cleared out and organized! Their presence inspired a positive change!! I feel so good about it all. After the cleaning, after they "punched out" -which they do remotely with their phones- I noticed a weird crusty drip of old baby food on the floor, half under the carpet. I mentioned it and they quickly got out a plastic scraper and attacked that spot with a vengeance! They thanked me for noticing. But I thanked them back! They puffed all the pillow and folded all the blankets and arranged the stuffed animals in such a fun way. It's a pleasure to be home in such a clean house. My only criticism is based on the pricing. I thought the hourly rate was a little pricy. My particular service wasn't scheduled it was all last minute, and we aren't regular customers, so I wonder if that had a play into pricing. But, the cleaning was worth every penny, don't get me wrong! I'm most likely going to call again!! Also, I haven't priced out what a scheduled clean in our house would cost with other companies either, so what we paid could have been industry standard for today's prices. I just don't know. I highly recommend white glove cleaning services to anyone else.
