They used to have a very good & kind tech at Maiden Nails that I went to regularly for 6 months and now that she's gone, the service & experience has changed completely. I made an appointment over a week in advance and I still waited 1.5 hours to be seen. Once I signed in and was there on time, I get a random tech who cut at least 3 of my fingers and the quality of the work severely downgraded in comparison to the consistency I have been used to there. No disrespect to the techs as I know they work hard and are trying their best and they apologized for the wait but the organization/leadership of this place is non existent ,then they have to end up rushing so much they cut the client and give sub par work. Not having been for a mani-pedi in a long time, I ran into this salon today a half an hour before their closing time. Yes- they took me in for a mani - pedi. They said they could finish it up by closing time, and they did! Two lovely ladies took care of my fingers and toes. Great work! Pleasant and clean salon, and my nails look great. DO NOT GO HERE. Not clean. Reusing tools that clearly have not been cleaned and sanitized. I had PURPLE gel polish put on and half of my nails are brown as if they mixed colors to keep from buying new bottles. The older lady will shave your nails to the bed and will have you in pain and have to pull you hands away multiple times to stop her. I used to be a regular here, but I just got AN INFECTION 2 days after my last visit and don't plan on going back. I've been noticing recently that the quality has gone downhill, some of my nails aren't even close to the same length, they'll be slanted in one direction drastically, and not worth for the pricing increase. There's a lot of really good salons around the area (Lindeys & Medusa Nails in Canandaigua) that can do beautiful designs and decorations like live flower petals under/on the nail or printed pictures, and makes this salon look basic, all for the SAME PRICE. Now that my finger is in so much pain with a set that broke a few days after with a color I wanted to change but wouldn't allow...it's safe to say I can find another salon from here on out. read more

Worst nail salon ever!!! When we walked in two people were getting pedicures and they told us they were busy and to come back in two hours When we came back their was still only two people working. We waited for about 10 minuets before they even "noticed us" they took my sister back and I had to wait till she finished her whole manicure before I could get mine done when I went back I asked for a French manicure. she did my nails using the same tools she used on my sister and the lady before my sister, and she didn't even clear off the table. There was also a bunch of fish swimming in nasty foggy water. When we went up to pay she said my nails were $30 when I ask for a simple French manicure (not gel) the website said it was $10 for a normal French manicure. she told me it's $30 for the French GEL this is aggravating because I know she didn't here me say gel when I told what I wanted. I think it very frustrating that she would put on the gel so she could make an extra $20 Also my sisters colored gel was $25 dollars which doesn't even make sense because a French is always less than a full color, this makes me think she was making up the prices because a French gel manicure wasn't even listed on the price board. My sister gave her a gift card (that she never used) she ask how much it was for and my sister said she wasn't sure. The lady asked if we wanted her to check the balance and my sister said sure. she kept telling us the balance was zero dollars When we left we checked the balance online it said it had $20 on it?! I enjoy coming here because I feel that I get what I pay for. At some other salons around the area, I feel that I pay a lot and don't receive an adequate service. But here, I always receive a fantastic mani/pedi. This time did not fail that. The salon was not busy and the tech took sooo much time on my toes and nails. A nice long massage and made sure that the polish was perfect. When she did my nails, she made sure to take off any excess polish around the nail. I will never go to any other nail salon. I took my sister for a pedicure since she helped me with cleaning my apartment when i moved. It was well deserved on her part! I used to go to a place on Monroe Ave by the pittsford wegmans, but last time I went there I wasn't happy with my experience. My friend Julie told me about this place and it is right up the street from my office and close to my sister. We went in at 6pm and we were quickly seated for two pedicures. The ladies that did our pedicures were soooo nice. The place was extremely clean! The pedicure lasted about an hour and it was the normal routine. But i do love when they put hot towels on your legs after they massage your legs! Thye had a huge array of colors to pick from and my favorite thing is, when you leave, they give you a baggie filled with a card and the files that they used on you! So if you want, you can bring those back for next time or they will use new items on you. Also, since it was our first time there they opened up new tools to use on us. It was a great pedicure for a great price. I will definitely be going back there! Oh also, they had the cutest section for kid pedicures which are only $13 to $15!!!! read more

I had family visiting, so I called and made 4 appointments - two manicures and two pedicures. While the gentleman at the front desk was friendly, that's the extent of positives that I have about the experience. They clearly had a large party in the back pedicure section and were far more concerned with that and just trying to get through my manicure as quickly as possible. It was rushed and poorly done, she didn't even do the hand massage which is the best part. Not to mention that the polish was uneven and sloppy and started chipping literally the next day. Had to pay $50 for a gel pedicure when gel nails are half that and regular pedicure $30...not much more work on their end so unsure of the $20 price difference, gel polishes are about the same price as regular so again unsure why such a dramatic increase. Didn't even get my feet messaged which is one of the best parts of a pedicure. Took her about twenty minutes from start to finish so the paint job wasn't that great either. Another big thing, they don't use brand new brushes/files/ equipment. Nothing seemed to be sanitized properly as I watched numerous employees just take their boxes from one station to the next with no cleaning in between. Needless to say I won't be going back. I originally came here in hopes of getting coffin-shaped matte black acrylics. Unfortunately they didn't have my color or the tips to do it so I opted for a pedi instead. My nail tech was nice. She talked with me a bit and did a good job of shaping my nails. She was very particular with cuticle removal. I really needed a good foot filing and she did okay. I needed more but usually the little Asian nail shops just do a quick filing. But for the price it was good service! Overall the place was clean. I went for a gel mani and a regular pedicure. they never even addressed my callouses and took about 30 minutes about 15 seconds of that was just lightly tapping the back of my legs as a 'massage'. During my gel manicure, I asked to stop after two coats, bc I liked the overall color, and the technician told me no, and applied a third coat because she thought it would look better. The gel lasted about 3 days! At the end of it all, they swiped my card, and then I asked how to leave a tip. They told me I had to pay cash only. I said I had no cash on me, and they told me to go to Walmart to the atm. The girl was literally waiting outside for me when I came back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. INCONSIDERATE STAFF. DISHONEST. I am visiting from out of town for the holiday. I called Maiden at 3:51pm on December 26th looking to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. Whomever answered the phone asked if I could come at 5pm. I explained that I had a dinner reservation at 5:30pm down the street on Main Street in Victor and that I couldn't come in at 5 but I could be there at 4:15pm. She told me this was fine and to come on in. I arrived at 4:20pm, said "hello, this is Melissa, I called for 4:15pm, I apologize for being 5 minutes late". I was told to pick a color. Seeing that no one was available to work on me immediately I spent a few minutes picking out a color and then sat on a couch until 4:35pm when I was asked to move to a pedicure chair and to put my feet in hot water. By 4:45pm no one was even close to being ready to work on me. By 4:50pm I had taken my feet out of the now lukewarm water. I had to ask someone to bring me a towel to dry my feet. Clearly no one was going to be able to get to me before dinner at 5:30pm. I understand that they were busy but THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME that they COULDNT TAKE ME BECAUSE THEY WERE BOOKED SOLID, instead of wasting my time. I could have gone to another salon. I could have spent more time with my family before dinner. I could have done a couple errands. It's infuriating that these people choice to waste my time instead of being HONEST and simply explaining they were booked up. I called multiple salons prior and they were busy and told me they could not take me, which is not a problem. When I left I said "It would be greatly appreciated if you're too busy to take someone you let them know this instead of telling them to come in anyways". I was told "You were late. We had other appointments". I replied "I was 5 late by 5 mins and if you had other appointments and couldn't fit me in then you should have told me this, instead of telling me to come in. I told you I had a dinner reservation at 5:30pm". I wouldn't suggest this salon as they have no respect or consideration for their customers time. So simple to say "I'm sorry were booked". Never, never again. The pedicure process normally takes about 50 minutes plus drying time, but they spent only 20 minutes on me. Literally. Then they made me walk all the way across the store totally barefoot because my toes weren't dry enough yet to put my flip flops back on - this was just so that they could turn my chair over faster. Talk about gross! They also kept me waiting there with my feet in the water for 15 minutes without saying a word to me before getting started, and without telling me that there would be a wait. To top things off, they barely made a dent in my wintertime calluses. Getting rid of those was the whole point of me going in there today, so the whole experience was just a waste. They charged me $55 for a gel mani and pedi for my 9 year old daughter and didn't even do half of what they should have done. For my gel pedicure they charged $50 and didn't even do my heels. This salon gets one star because I can't give none and still leave a comment. I am a grad of Continental but didn't get my license...I went to Maiden Nails because of it's convenience three times. Once for a pedi, once for a set of acrylics and once for a fill. The pedicure was too expensive for what they actally did. Whatever they used as soap dried out my skin, she used a pumice stone that was "sterilized" in a microwave. ( Pumice stones are classed as dispossable because you can't remove the skin from all the crevices, so think about that...other peoples' skin is still in there and you don't know how often they used it!) They use some cheap lotion you can probably buy at the dollar store, this after using CND spapedicure products in school. No comparison and I'm not being a snob here. I paid good money y'know? The only thing I liked was the nail color. I decided to give them a second chance because they're local to me and it was a different service...acrylic nails. They use tips and the one ball method of applying the acrylic, which is fine but there was no attempt at shaping. My nails ended up pretty flat which is what I have naturally and you can't ask them to do anything differently because they ( pretend) not to understand. It's one size fits all. Disappointing. I can do better myself, just not on my opposite hand. So...you're thinking why go back? Well, acrylic smells and I'd rather not stink up my house, so I went back for a fill. As she worked I noticed a lot of lifting once the gel polish was filed off and some discoloration like a stain or God forbid fungal infection. I wanted to see how she'd handle it so said nothing. She completely ignored it!! In hindsite I wish I'd said something about it or turned them in to OSHA. What they're doing is illegal ladies. If anyone decides to go to them please do your research. These particular salons of the so-called budget variety are making true professionals look bad and you run the risk of infection. It's all about about making money for them and ignorance is no excuse. Protect yourselves and spend your money wisely. read more

I had been going to Hannah at this salon pretty much since they opened in Victor. I had an appointment yesterday at 2. I was on my way there but I was going to be about 10 minutes late . I got a call at 2:07 from Hannah telling me not to come because she had a 3 pm appt and had no time to do my pedicure and manicure. I told her I was almost there but she insisted I reschedule for 6 or the next day. NOW the problem is, she has kept me waiting at the salon at times and for 2 Monday appts she never called or showed up because she was stuck at an airport!!!! One time I rescheduled and the second time her boss did my nails. Both times I was not even called or given anything for my inconvenience. My time is as valuable as her time. Yesterday was the only time I was late and there was a very good reason. I was very angry because last time she could not do what she was supposed to do because she was "short on time", so I had 3 broken nails this time! I also do not like the techs shouting in Vietnamese to each other and laughing at their own little jokes or whatever. It is rude! I can understand that they may be more comfortable speaking to each in their native language but they need to understand that it is rude and makes their client uncomfortable. I will never go back there. There are many good nail salons in the area and they are easily replaced. I already have someone who was highly recommended. When folks decide to be in a service business they need to remember that it is the client they are serving not themselves! read more

I moved to the Victor, NY area a couple years ago and tried many nail places. Been sticking with this location for the last year. My job requires me to always be polished and look on point. The girls here do a great job. Haven't had a bad mani/pedi here. My french gel mani's last 2 often 3 weeks! I occasionally book hand modeling assignments for infomercials and feel confident the quality will be top notch and camera ready. Also I usually get their gel mani + pedi special for $50. You really cannot beat the quality for that price. I saw a few negative reviews regarding the techs speaking other languages. If you don't like staff speaking in native languages stop going to asian nail salons. This generally doesn't bother me. I understand that if you have moved to the US from anther country it is easier and more comfortable to speak your native language. If you engage with the nail techs they seem happy to chat with you but mani/pedi time for me is about relaxation and maybe catching up on emails so Im usually quiet and I like they dont pressure for conversation and let me enjoy the relax time and the leg and hand massages. A few nice perks: They have free wifi (just ask your tech for code) also they typically ask me if I want a complimentary water or soda and parking is easy and plentiful. They try to quickly work in walk-ins but once you find a nail tech you love it's better to call ahead to secure the time you want with the tech you prefer so that you wont have to wait. read more

I was a new client when they opened last year and have been faithful.After spending $88.00 for pedicure,gel fill and new nail tips,I was unable to get an appointment in the next time frame with the same girl I have been going to from the first.I got an appointment for the following week and when I went I was told my time was for the day before.I know this was not true because I was out of town the day before and never would have made the appointment for theal she said.I could not wait a half hour the day I showed for my appointment so I left vowing not to return.Treated very shabbily.I agree about the pedicure,way too fast and nails are not cut down very much. read more
