I called and the staff Mary I think, was very understanding and moved my appointment to 4. This salon is so clean and I watched as they sanitized after every client. This place was not good! I had come here after TWO other nail salons had messed up my nails, hoping they could fix them before I leave town for an important event. I am a model & entertainer so my nails need to be perfect and they need to last! I came in and the nail tech told me to sit down, examined my nails, and even she could see what a horrible job the last place did. That was reassuring to me. I wanted the same exact design just done correctly! She re-did the gel polish and then went to design my one nail. She insisted she knew how to do a leopard print design and she didn't, so I told her to forget that and do tiger stripes bc that's easier. Still not great... but I decided it was good enough. Then for the rhinestones she didn't even use glue! She thought they'd stay just using the gel polish! I figured I'd have faith.... Well 4 hours later I had taken a shower and did a load of laundry and 4 rhinestones had already fallen off!!! I was upset bc I'm busy getting ready to leave town and I paid $40 just for her to change the polish, so a design, and put rhinestones on which seemed super pricey :-/ Update: I went back into the salon today and was greeted by the same nail tech who didn't do my nails correctly the first time. I told her I wanted to remove the rhinestones completely and just repaint them. She insisted she could fix the problem without having to do all that, so I sat down. She literally took nail glue and ran it across all my rhinestones and fastened new ones on where they had come off!! NOT EVEN ANY CLEAR COAT AFTER!! Then she had the nerve to tell me that she was done and they were fixed and that she wouldn't charge me for today!! WHAT?! So disgusting! I walked out super aggravated and now have to just pray they are okay and put clear coat on myself at home. That is some audacity right there! I've been here twice now, first time for a pedicure which was great. Today I had natural nails with gel on, but they are very thin and one broken. She talked me into an acrylic set which was great because they look fantastic. Very professional lady who worked on me named Tee. I will definitely be back. Let me start off by saying the staff is friendly and the prices great! If you want to save money go here, but you will sacrifice quality. I really don't understand how this salon is rated so high. Better to bring your own polish. The nail chips are so old that the colors are not one bit representative of the actual colors. Also, they say they have regular polish to match some of their gels, but it is not the case. I was disappointed with the quality of the work as well. I had dark gray gel on (which was supposed to be light gray, but the girl used the wrong color last time) and they did not do a good job removing the gel. So now it looks like my nails are dirty because remnants of the dark gray are showing through all around the edge of my pale pink gel. I gave them two tries, and both times were a fail. Came here at 10am with my friend to get gel manicures. They didn't have an opening so we made appointments for 1pm to get gel manicures TOGETHER. At 1pm, 2/3 technicians were taking care of other people. The 3rd employee said he could take one of us. We then told them we had made the appointment for 1pm for both of us together to which they pointed at 2 seats that were open but were separated by 3 seats that 2 were already filled. 1) What is the point of making an appointment if you can't staff it and 2) why would you have us sit separate when we made the appointment so we could be next to each other so we wouldn't have to yell across people?! Horrible service and a god awful smell of chemicals. We left and made appointments at a salon down the road that could accommodate us. read more

I was very happy to find this place while I was on vacation as I hadn't had a chance to get a pedi before I left home. Interestingly, for some reason the price I pay for a spa pedi in Los Angeles is about half what I pay in Rochester. But I was very pleased with my experience here, and I would definitely return again. The salon was clean and quiet with a relaxing vibe. I had a comfy spa chair and the technician gave me a very good leg massage. Most importantly, I didn't get the feeling that the workers were talking about the clientele in Vietnamese like so often happens at other places; in fact, there was no chit-chat amongst them at least while I was there. I would love to say I had a great manicure at this place because the employees are absolutely wonderful. But I didn't. Before I left the establishment I noticed there were bubbles in my nails. I showed my technician and she added another topcoat. It didn't help much. This morning I woke up to having 3 of my nails cracked and the rest having black beads showing through the nail polish. I have never experienced something like this before. Plus I paid an extra $3.00 for longer lasting nail polish and its already chipping. Very disappointed. read more

To begin, if I could have given 0 stars I would have. This is a must read for all those new to the Rochester area. My experience was horrendous. Being new to town I was looking for something close by. I found the salon and saw mixed reviews but decide to give it a try. Walking in, the place looks dirty and the longer you sit there you can see more and more wrong with it. It's just gross. All I wanted was to remove the little gel left on my nails and a new (not gel) manicure. Looking at the very small selection of colors nothing was organized, the bottles were nearly empty or had nail polish stuck all over the outside (again just dirty). I ended up asking if they just had a clear coat because I saw nothing amongst the chaos. She did not have one and so I settled on a creamy white/clear she picked. Then she had to remove my gel and she used an electric file which became very hot and burning my hands and as I would (gently) flinch she got more and more angry. She then began rushing through. Left the acetone for all of 10 seconds before scraping and filing my nails even more. My nails looked awful (scratched/dented/uneven) and she didn't even try to fix them. The worst part though she dug a hole into my finger with the file due to her rushing she began filing my skin. I began to bleed and she proceeded with the "manicure" and didn't say a word. By the end, I left with awful nails (you could actually see all the scratches through the nail polish), no lotion, no hand massage, a bleeding finger, no back massage (you know the quick one while you begin drying). Maybe I was just spoiled at the salon I used to go to but at least there it was full service and you got what you paid for. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

I'm not one to ever write a bad review or any reviews at all but my experience here was not good.So upset at the results, I went in for a full set and showed the lady working a picture of what I wanted and my nails came out nothing like it. All my nails are crooked and slanted to one side more than the other, it's just a big mess.Besides that she was extremely rough and now my nails are in a lot of pain and my cuticles burn. I know people are just trying to make a living but my experience here was so bad I honestly will reconsider ever getting a manicure or pedicure. The water was scalding hot and the woman was so rough with the skin of my legs. I shaved my legs the previous day so my skin was more raw and sensitive than I realized, but aren't most people shaving their legs before a manicure? The exfoliater she was rubbing fiercely onto my skin was so painful, and I thought she was going to rub the callouses off my feet to the point of raw skin, I was cringing the whole time. And there wasn't a foot massage! She rubbed my legs but not my feet... It's a pedicure after all. Then my hands, oh my god. My acrylic nails are so crooked and bulky, I'm honestly a little embarrassed. They look fake, and I prefer nails to look natural. They are wide and not elegant and slender, and a few nails are completely uneven. And to make it worse, there was no hand massage! There was no rubbing, no lotion applied, nothing. My hands were so dry after the manicure that I had to ask for lotion. I asked her to make the nails less fat and bulky, I don't want nails that come up half an inch, and she did a good job with one hand then rushed over the second hand, and gave it an extra layer of polish so one hands nails are noticeably thicker. I actually left this place stressed and disappointed. read more

After being disappointed by Beautiful Nails on E. Henrietta & Calkins (they etched a deep line into the nail bed at the cuticle that remains visible through fills) and Nail Studio in Marketplace Mall (they filled over lifted edges of previous fill so they were visible under new fill AND they filed too low on my nail beds which HURT), I tried Mary at K Nail based on a high recommendation. Mary was sensitive to these issues (still visible under the current fill) and, although my desire was to completely remove the bad jobs and start from scratch, she knew my nail beds would be too thin in places and it would hurt and likely damage them to do that. So, even though removing and doing new ones would be more money, she compassionately recommended that she cleans up the bad jobs as best as she can and then do a pink fill to better hide any remaining imperfections. This actually cost me LESS than the painful and terrible job done at the mall, and the result was very pretty! I've found my go-to nail girl now. Thanks, Mary! read more

After they messed up my nail I stopped coming here so I'll give them only one star. I made appointment, and I was on time but they make me wait for 30mins. I made appointment because I don't want to wait but I ended up wait for 30mins. Other than that, I did mine with gel manicure, and the lady asked me if I want to do my brows I said no, but she keep persuading me so I end up doing it. After my gel nail got done I had to pay for $48, and $10 for tips. I didn't complain about tips and price at all but when I get home my nails were too fat, the gel unbalanced. The and the next day the gel gone off of my finger tips. I went back and told them that this happened and I did last night but one of the lady simply told me it's happened because of the tips of your fingers nails were not good instead of fixing me she asked me to come back on the next day but I didn't want to waste my time anymore plus I was working 8am -7pm and there is no way I can go I can go back on weekdays. read more
