I have been multiple times, and have brought friends and family. Today I came for a gel manicure/gel pedi, and within 12 hours, 2 fingernails/polish have completely popped off! I was able to return and have one fixed, where I was promptly scolded by the technician that the layer of dip powder I declined initially would have ensured this didn't happen. I declined the dip powder, as I had just finished growing out the dip powder effects from a dip manicure that they placed 6 months prior. I'll be returning tomorrow, and hopefully they'll remedy the situation, but I'll be unlikely to return in the future, as my 10 minute manicure has resulted in 3 total visits (2 return visits + initial visit). I won't be recommending to friends and family either, or returning for girls dates. read more

I visited Rochester NY today with my 96 year old mom for a lunch date. I was running very behind and did not have a chance to clip my moms nails. On our drive into town I noticed her nails were overgrown and I did not want her seeing her friends with overgrown nails. The restaurant was near Art Nails, I thought why not just run in and see if they could help. What a beautiful place, they quickly had my mom sat down and were so pleasant and we left in 10 minutes with cleaned up nails. I wish I lived closer I would make this my place. I normally go to a private nail artist- I don't get anything fancy- but I need my shape, cut and cuticles on point. So I normally only wander into Art Nails when I need a last minute mani/ pedi and they are always accommodating to that. Salon: The salon itself is spacious and pretty, and it is always clean, from the chairs to the pedicure stations to the floors, which someone is regularly vacuuming. They have at least 14 pedi stations in a separate room, and 2 kiddie pedi stations, and they have plenty of mani stations,- the main room and an extension in the back for when they are super busy. The waiting area is spacious, and I've never waited more than 30 min (I still suggest calling before to avoid a wait). They have a wide variety of regular, gel, and dip powders, so you can avoid "not finding the right one" Service: The service here has always been stellar. Whenever I come, I ask for Lou, because he does my nails and toes exactly the way I want. I've found it frustrating, at various salons, getting my pedicure shaped the way I need it, but Lou takes his time and refreshes my feet every time I visit. Most recently, I came in last minute, and he just happened to be available and gave me a beautiful full set of Valentine's Day nails, did what I showed him in the picture, and added his own touch. Now, Art Nails is not going to give you the elite style nails that you would get from your private nail artist, but I've never left disappointed with the service I received. And if you're normally a person that just goes to your local salon for a mani/pedi, I would highly recommend checking out Art Nails. My mom has been going to this nail salon for many years and has always enjoyed their services. I stopped in on a whim with her for a pedicure and was seen right away. They take walk ins and appointments, but I would recommend making an appointment because they do get busy. The salon is much bigger inside than I imagined based on the exterior. The nail/manicure stations are on the left and the pediucure stations on the right. They have a big waiting room with a TV screen and magazines. Julie, one of the owners, mans the front desk and is so friendly. This was the first time I'd ever gotten a pedicure and I enjoyed it. They have tons of polishes to choose from, including gels. I got a a light coral for my toes. The pedicure was relaxing, especially the massage part. It cost $25, not including tip. I went in last Friday for a fill on a 1 week old fresh set. I was seated at #3 and was told she would not perform a fill because they were "too old". I tried to tell her they were only a week old, but she immediately started taking off my acrylics using another fake nail. The pain was unbearable. I was crying really, really hard begging her to stop or at the very least soak them off and she would not. When i went to get up she grabbed my wrist and insisted she would finish for "free". I agreed because you can't beat free. After being in excruciating pain and having 2 bleeding cuts on my fingers, she wouldn't let me leave and charged me $90 for the removal and fresh set. I couldn't believe it and was beyond embarrassed and hurt. I will never give my business here again and i suggest you don't either. Not to mention NONE of the tools were sterilized. read more

Went in for dip powder and pedicure 2 times in a row. Both times the pedicure was just average. Dip powder was good and looked good out of the salon but only lasted for 3 days before it started chipping. For the price I paid for this manicure, it's really not worth it. I hate that salons are not honest about what their techs are capable of doing and what they are trained on! Vicky is my awesome nail tech. She is in the 1st row of stations up against the wall. I love Vicky because when she's done my nails are even and smooth and they don't snag on fabrics. The polish is fully covering my nails and not streaked. I have gel on my natural nails and when Vicky files the tops of my nails to remove the gel polish, she doesn't file my natural nail. It was approximately 14 minutes, it was so rushed. The woman who did mine was so incredibly rude - any time she wanted me to put my feet in the water she just pushed my leg in. I love it here. $35 for a regular mani pedi. I haven't had good luck with gel so I opted against it. But Nina took me right away (my friend and I had an appt) we had both done within the hour. It was great! The only negative is when we were moved to the manicure station, they did not keep us sitting together even though there were chairs open next to each other. I've always been loyal and tip really well but I went in to get a fill and get a few nails replaced and my nails are terrible! They're completely different shapes, lengths, thicknesses, and the polish is bumpy and uneven and doesn't even cover the entire nail. It's always a struggle when it comes to finding a decent nail salon. But I think I've finally found the place. Art nails! My friend introduced me to this place about a month ago. She swears by her nail guru, Lilly and now I can see why. She's a magician. They all are. It's insane. I got both a pedicure and gel manicure, which cost $50 total. Not to shabby. My pedicure felt amazing. The lady did a fantastic job making sure my feet were clean, soft, and pretty. Now I can wear flip flops. She also did an amazing job with my gel manicure. My cuticles aren't disgusting (which was the look I was really going for). She did about three coats, then massaged my hands. Such a kind soul. My experience at Art Nails has always been positive. Their location is super spacious, which I later found out was a result of a recent expansion. As for the people, they are super friendly, kind, and courteous. They are willing to listen to what you want, and give their creative input. Plus, they are all so talented - it's like walking into an art museum. No pun intended. I have been so happy and pleased with my results every single visit! Julie seems like she runs the place and everyone requests her for acrylic but I have never had a bad nail tech so no need to make a request... (Tina and Mimi I have also had before and they are great!) Appointments are not necessary! They are always so fast with their service and can get through a packed waiting room in no time! They have any type of nail service your are looking for although I personally have only had acrylic color tips, manicures, and pedicures. They have the BEST pedicures I've ever had for only $25. Their prices are definitely reasonable as well! Only $35 for a full set of color tips! Everyone is friendly and can communicate very well! The only downside is the parking... There are a lot of businesses in the plaza so parking can be annoying but I've never had to walk too far! If you are a nail connoisseur like my self you need to try this place out! :) read more

Honestly, not worth it for price. I have been going here for years out of convenience, but I am going to go somewhere my money will be better spent. I went here the other day for a set of coffin fills -$23. Even though their sign says a fill is $17. When I asked about the discrepancy in price, i was told it was because of the shape, even though the sign doesn't mention this. I didn't argue because I knew it would do nothing. The girl didn't even shape my nails into a coffin shape and half of my nails are a different size than the rest. Not going back. read more

I loved this place for awhile...last time i visited i got gel Polish over my acrylics it chipped within 24 hours so i went back and wanted to change the color and they tried charging me 20$ to change the color i got the dah before ....this is from the owner he said i chose the color and to deal with it but they would fix the chips. So i agreed...that was 5 days ago. I have a huge chip in my nail again all the top coat is peeling off and all my nails are stained. Horrible customer service they just want your money. I went to Art Nails for the first time on 5/29. I had an appointment and had to wait over 45 minutes just to get a mani/ pedi done. Howie did my gel manicure and messed up countless times. He then tried to blame me because of "how my hand was positioned". I went to get a pedicure and my nail was still messed up!! It's been only a few days and I have a few minor chips. If I could give negative stars, I would. I went with my sister-in-law, mother-in-law, niece and nephew to get a mani-pedi. I had never been here before. My sister-in-law and I are about the same size, only I am a little taller. They try to put me on a bench for a pedicure stating I looked too heavy for their massage chair! The same chair that my sister-in-law just sat in! The owner proceeded to tell me there is a weight limit of 250. She didn't ask if I exceeded that, she just assumed. The truth is, my sister-in-law actually weighs more than 250, but was comfortably placed in a massage chair. I fit in every airplane seat, roller-coaster ride and pedicure chair I have ever encountered. I was astounded that they would do this AND expect me to pay full price. I didn't stay. I of course would not spend a dime there. Obviously I didn't fit in for a variety of reasons. If you "look" like you weigh more than 250, and perhaps other distinguishing factors, avoid this place. read more
