When we first pulled up here I was nervous how it was going to go as there was only one other table sitting inside. The service wasn't the greatest but the food was so good! I will say this was the first Indian restaurant that I've been to so I don't have much to compare it to, but I really enjoyed it. Might be more of a carry-out place with the service. read more

The good was ok, not as good as what I would expect from a good Indian restaurant. It was very expensive. Front counter was unorganized and took forever to pick up because they could find my ticket. Initially charged me for someone else's order. Had the bag stapled closed. Got all the way home and there was no rice for any of my entrees, special condiments we're missing. I had to turn around and go all the way back. I ordered carry out because last delivery order through Grubhub was cancelled by this restaurant, not even a phone call after waiting for at least 45 min. Customer service is obviously not a priority. I've eaten here a couple of times but not sure I'll be returning. the food is not worth the wait or the cost. I'll try a new place. read more

Excellent Indian food. My wife and I ordered two chicken and three vegetarian dishes for lunch time take-out. Portions are large and the food is fresh and well prepared. We live west of Avon but lived in Chicago for nearly thirty years. This restaurant is as good or better than any of the Indian restaurants we dined at in Chicago. Prices are very reasonable. After nearly ten years of living in Indiana, we are quite pleased to have finally found an Indian restaurant this good. read more

Loved it! The food was delicious. We had the mixed tandoori grill and lamb saag. The entrees are $13-15 which I think is a good value. I did not see any beer or a drink menu. Will definitely come back. Looking forward to the $10.99 lunch buffet. read more

We tried Mint India today for lunch. It was delicious. We ate from the buffet and tried some new stuff that I had never had before. I recommend you try it. It's located in the small building on 36 across from IHOP and Long Horn. They are a small business and I hope they stay around. We need more of these types of places. Non-chain, authentic, delicious food that is well priced. Hope you go and enjoy. I could have eaten bowls and bowls of the chicken tikka masala. And the chickpea garam masala. With the fresh naan bread! read more

This was a pleasant surprise!! There is not much selection for Indian around the south and west side of Indy... so we gave the lunch buffet a try... 13 hot dishes.. plus salad and Indian desserts--- plenty to please everyone... nothing too spicy- but lots of flavor! Naan was cooked to order- and soft drink Bev included.. All around wonderful lunch... will be back!! read more

We went for our thanksgiving lunch as we don't eat much of meat. 2nd time in this place. 1st time was different owner. Now it's under new management and I am shocked to be impressed with food today. I am not easy person to impress about Indian food at restaurants and today mint won me. I will definitely be going back. I would recommend try this place in Avon. read more

Very nice, calm environment, clean. Food was very good. Our waitress was very helpful in choosing food. I will return! read more

I tried this place out recently. The GOOD stuff: the butter chicken curry was pretty good, and they include a proper, large amount of decent basmati rice. The BAD stuff: I was forced by DoorDash to order naan--it was quite small and partly burnt. The chicken in the butter chicken was minimal, fatty, and contained gristle. Half of the chicken, I had to spit out due to being unedible. Very disappointed. read more

Nice place and fast service also amazing Indian food , will definitely go back and try the buffet read more

See all

Eat in or take away. We love everything about Mint. It's an adventure to have such well prepared Indian food in Indiana.

Anything I've ever ordered has always been fresh, flavorful, and nicely plated. The menu is everything you would expect from an Italian diner but executed very nicely. Highly recommend! read more

Got to the buffet when they opened. Only half the buffet was filled. We waited a little before loading up, thinking more would come out. Mostly chicken and goat or lamb. Not many vegetarian options and all of the sauces we bland and tasted similar. Not a lot of spice (heat). The chicken curry tasted very similar to a marinara sauce, and the chicken a and lamb was dry. The Tikka Masala sauce was all cream and very lite spice with just a hint of tomato paste. We have tried this particular location twice now. We have decided to move on to a different restaurant. This Indian restaurant just isn't worth the $$ or time. Especially, when the food isn't good. read more

I loved it!!! Nice clean well kept place. Now the food ( lunch) was outstanding, just the right amount of spice. Everything looked fresh cooked and cut. The tandoori chicken was amazing and tender. The raita was perfect. No two people make naan bread the same, this was very flaky with great flavor. I will be back. read more

Ordered through Uber eats. Mutter paneer and onion kulcha. Food was very good in taste. Mutter paneer had a strong ginger flavor which was odd. read more

I'm not one to leave bad reviews and I was really excited for Indian food in Avon, but I feel like I need to leave this. I'm not a picky eater and I have never sent food back in my life, just as a foreward. I walked in at 11:07 for the lunch buffet, that was supposed to start at 11. There was not any food out. I asked the server working, and he said it would all be out within 10 minutes. I said I would wait. I was so excited to try it, so I didn't mind 10 minutes. I should've just left then. The last dish, rice, was finally set out at 11:37. I had already made a plate before the rice came out because I was too hungry to wait. The Tikka Masala was great! It had great flavor. But that is the only compliment I can give. The other food was ice cold. I literally spit it out because it was so disgusting. I've never been to a buffet where food was ice cold. I tried to tell the server, but he could not understand me. So I just paid and left. Not much else I can say, but avoid this place if you want good and hot food that won't make you feel sick after eating. read more

We went for dinner around 8 pm on Saturday night and were the only ones in the restaurant so we were a little leery. However there was a very steady flow of carry out orders being picked up and ordered while we ordered and ate. The service was a little slow considering we were the only ones there, but the food was definitely worth the wait. We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Aloo Gobi along with Garlic Naan. All three things were absolutely delicious. Medium heat definitely had a kick but was perfect for us. The portions were very generous, we couldn't finish everything but wished we could! We will absolutely be back. read more

I went to lunch buffet on weekday. It was around 2pm and I was the only customer. The buffet was not fresh at all. Some seemed dried out. They did not replenish dishes which was almost empty either. The taste was just ok. It did not have enough spices or flavor to me. It is more expensive than other Indian buffet and less quality. Hope they will improve! read more

Best Indian food I've had on the west side of the Indianapolis suburbs. The chicken tikka marsala has great flavor and creaminess. The naan bread is not too crispy but not too thick. My first time was a takeout order but from first glance the interior of the restaurant looks beautiful and relaxing with comfortable seating. read more

Went for their lunch buffet. Everything was very good and the staff treated us very well. Would recommend.

We wanted to try this place and sat out front for 15 minutes to wait for the opening time on their front window, but they still don't have the doors unlocked at 6 minutes after opening and no one is answering their phone. It would be nice to at least put a note on the door if you aren't going to open, so that people don't waste their time for nothing. read more

I'm giving three stars for now, but I reserve the right to bump it up after I try it a few more times. My wife and I had the lunch buffet, and while small, I found it to be delicious. However, my wife is a spice lightweight, and she couldn't eat anything other than the salad and rice pudding. I was delighted to find an Indian buffet with some heat, and I wouldn't mind a bit more, but the spice level of the buffet at Mint Indian is far to spicy for the average diner who has not built a tolerance for spicy foods. We plan on ordering off the menu next time, and if they can give my wife something mild I will up my rating. read more

We went for the lunch buffet and the flavors of everything was really good. However, the chicken breast dish was way over cooked. Very dry. I hated the cloth napkins. Indian food can be messy and they just weren't cutting it. The meat in red sauce was practically just bones and cartilage. The sauces were all great though and the bread was amazing. I just ate the bread with all the sauces and was content. Overall I wasn't overly impressed but I might try it again sometime if they work out the kinks. read more

So happy to have an Indian restaurant on the west side of town! We did the Sunday lunch buffet. Great food, awesome naan, loved the atmosphere. Wish they had more vegan options on the buffet (not just vegetarian) and a couple dishes ideally would have been warmer, but overall happy with our visit. read more

Below average food. No flavor. Buffett has very few options. Dessert was kheer and again tasteless and not creamy or tasty.

Two of us stopped at Mint for dinner on a weekday evening and were very happy with our experience. Our waiter was effective but not obtrusive, and the atmosphere was similar to other Indian or Thai places in the Avon/Plainfield area-- it's fine. Mint's menu is extensive, the portions are very generous. The naan was really good (as was the basmati rice). I especially enjoyed the palak paneer (spinach and cheese), which was creamy and flavorful. The bangan bart (eggplant) was prepared in a way that I am not used to (the dish was less blended than at other Indian restaurants, and I didn't love the big chunks of onion and green pepper), but the eggplant itself was tasty. I will definitely go back to try some of the meat dishes and appetizers. Really glad to have another option for Indian cuisine in this area. read more

Yes!!! FINALLY there's an Indian restaurant with FLAVOR! We went for the lunch buffet and were so pleasantly surprised. So thankful for this restaurant, FINALLY giving us some flavor! My only reason for not giving 5 stars was that the buffet wasn't hot (more lukewarm) when we arrived, which was around 11:30. Hoping to change to 5 stars with my next visit! read more

The lunch buffet was excellent. They try their hardest to keep to spicy palatable to the average American. Great flavor all around. Their curry chicken was great. I would return here again and even take Indian cuisine connoisseurs. read more

Mint India is under new management and the food is absolutely amazing. The service is great, too. It's nice to finally have great Indian food in Avon!!! I highly recommend you try it ASAP. read more

Seen this new place and was in the area and thought I would check it out for lunch. The place has nice decors on the inside. The food was okay, nothing extravagant about it, more on the spicy side, if you're not a spicy food person, I wouldn't recommend this place.. Not only spicy but, the Indian spices is really strong taste as well.. So maybe they can try to make their food considering not everyone likes Indian spicy. Never fails when going to places like this, there are only men workers.. And they stare pretty hard, it's very annoying.. They need to learn not to be so thirsty and to lower their gaze.. I'm hoping for them to last though because this spot changed restaurants about 3 or 4 different times now. read more

This is my second time eating here. I am extremely happy to have an Indian restaurant in Avon. The atmosphere is welcoming. The servers are very attentive. Volume of music was perfect (which doesn't matter some but does for me.) the food was great. A few people commented on bones and stuff being in dishes and that is common for some of their dishes. Every Indian restaurant I have been to have bones in atleast the goat and lamb dishes. Not sure why but to me the dish is still great. I loved the bread. I will be a repeat customer. read more

Went here with my husband and we had a nice time. The food was good as expected and the service was efficient. We had a pleasant time and would return. read more

New fan of Indian food. 11-3 buffet is a nice way to dip a toe in the pond This place is wonderfully clean. Really fresh tasty food. We love the café decor, and enjoy the gentlemanly, professional table service. Would probably lunch there daily if my budget allowed. read more

Arrived at 9:30pm. Sign says open till 10. Wouldn't seat us. Waiter said we can order takeout. I think we'll spend our $ elsewhere. And we did. Opa open till 10 and seated us. Hubby and I stopped in for lunch. The location makes this a hidden gem as the food was AMAZING! We both enjoyed the lunch buffet that had vegetarian options along with plenty that would satisfy the meat eater in your group. I loved the chicken tikka masala and chaan! Hubby loved the tandoori chicken and lamb dish. Make sure to order some naan bread! read more

Food is normally very tasty. Unfortunately, if there's a problem with your order, you might as well save time and effort and just toss it in the trash. We ordered delivery through Grubhub and the fried food came in an unlined Styrofoam container that melted onto the food, leaving large visible holes and impressions of the food. Took the Pakoras and Samosas back to the store where the promptly re-packaged the same food and insisted it was fresh - twice. read more

Pleasant setting but not fancy. Excellent value--tasty food, good quantity and reasonably priced. read more

I ordered Chana Massla (Vegan) Med- Hot. I ordered Curry Lamb for my coworker. The food was good but it was to-go through grubhub. They didn't give me Chutney and papad and only gave me one box of rice. I called and they said only one box of rice unless i order Four items. and Chutney and Papad is for dining in only. I told them they should have that on the menu because all orders say rice and chutney and papad. and now i have to split rice with someone. Although the food was good i am upset about that i spent all of the money just to get basically a soup. read more

We are big fans of Indian cuisine and last evening we found this newly opened restaurant in Avon. Service was friendly and attentive but the main event was the food. Carefully prepared and artfully presented, the dishes that my wife and I shared were packed full of flavor. This was our first time to this restaurant and having eaten at many others in the past including several in the Chicago area of good reputation this restaurant stands solidly In top tier for taste. The Lamb Vindaloo was superb! And if you like seafoods, the Mango Shrimp Masala was a nice spicy dish that had a unique array of individually noticeable flavors that demanded your attention simultaneously. I would have given 10 Stars if I could. read more

Nice AUTHENTIC Indian food. Being a foodie, and having authentic Indian food while in Singapore (35% Indian) and in India, I can say this is one of the best Indian places in the Avon area. Just enough spice in the lunch buffet to take the winter chill off. A must try place for anyone. I also like the music videos- give the place a try! read more
