After eating at Maharaja 3 times now, I am more than compelled to say that these are the finest Indian meals I have had in Germany. The Lamb Tikka Masala is perhaps my favorite. The most tender and best flavored lamb sets this plate apart. Do not forget the Samosas. The Samosas are a delight, and the spice tray that comes with will not let you down. Prices are reasonable, and most dishes arrive at the table straight from the kitchen with a little bit of hot sizzle. The presentation is appreciated. I wish I lived closer to Ansbach. read more

Always delicious and the staff is super friendly. We had friends that frequented so much they became friends with the owner and they made us all a special off-the-menu dish which was such an enjoyable and enriching experience as we look back on our memories of Bavaria. Fantastic Butter chicken, don't forget to grab a few spicy garlic naans and enjoy the best Indian food around.

The food was great and delivery was quick. We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Curry. Both dishes were good but the Butter Chicken was our favorite! We have ordered food for delivery a couple of times and it never disappoints. This time, I left instructions on my online order in English regarding a broken doorbell. Someone from the restaurant called when the driver left, to let me know to keep an eye out for him. I was very appreciative of this and for him speaking English to me as well. As for the food, I had their butter chicken. I could drink that sauce! I've also had their palak paneer and their chicken tikka masala. Everything has been beyond my expectations. Very clean and friendly. The food came out fast and was very fresh! Chicken curry in red was mello and slightly sweet, perfect for the kids. Lamb curry in red had a nice bite without being spicey- might order hotter next time. Vegetable curry in ginger base had a well rounded flavor- very satisfying. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Ansbach. This restaurant offers the best service I have ever received from any other restaurant. The owner is extremely kind and professional. The food is exquisite. Before moving to Germany, I have never eaten Indian food before so I was a bit hesitant to give it a try at first. To my surprise, the food is amazing! This was our first restaurant stop outside of the hotels that we have been staying at since our arrival to Germany. We were the first family/group to sit down for dinner and the only ones there for about 30 minutes after ordering. The waitress was very understanding due to our limited german speaking and so was the owner. They helped us picked a few of the dishes which would suit our taste buds. Simply amazing! Some of the best Indian food I've ever had--rich and flavorful. The staff and owner are very friendly and will even make things off the menu if you ask. It's easily my favorite restaurant in the greater Ansbach area. Make sure you try the Mango Lassi. read more
