SUMMARY Sangam is a traditional Indian restaurant that you might be familiar with in the United States. The service was friendly and ordering was easy, as our waiter spoke English and made recommendations for entrees. If you are looking to change things up from traditional German cuisine, I would recommend dining at Sangam for dinner, and selecting something from the "Various dishes on a plate" page in the menu. PRE-DINING Sangam is a short walk from the main train station in town, near the old town entrance. We were able to walk from our hotel, so I can not speak to the parking, but would recommend looking for a public parking lot outside of the old town and walking in. AMBIANCE The ambiance is that of a typical Indian restaurant in the states. There were quite a few tables, and ones that can accommodate large parties as well. SERVICE We were seated at our table immediately upon entering the restaurant, however it took a while for our waiter to acknowledge us after we sat down. Once he did, the service was very good from there on out. Our waiter took an interest in our site seeing plans, as well as recommending dishes when we asked. I'd recommend just being patient, as it will be worth the wait! F & B I was dining with my spouse, and for the two of us we shared a 6 dish variety from the "Various dishes on a plate" page of the menu. Unfortunately, I did not capture the names of the dishes to share here, but we did opt for the chefs recommendations and all were delicious. I would recommend this option if you are adventurous and don't want the burden of selecting each of the dishes. While 6 sounded like a lot for two people, you can see from the picture the portions are small, so you get to try a variety of things. Overall I would definitely recommend Sangam if you are I the mood for some Indian cuisine!

Nice outdoor seating of old city. Food was good, view better. Enjoyed the house Sauvignon Blanca with Butter chicken, basmati rice, papada, and onion bahji.

Food good, staff good. On one of the hottest days I had a vindaloo and wife had the mixed grill. Cracking

Good food and good service. Not my favorite naan and it came out a little after our food but it was still a good meal and good service.

Very good food. Recommend the chicken Marsala. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere, you have the option to sit outside or in.

What is there to do on Christmas Day in Nuremberg? Eat good Indian food!!!!…read more Ganesha is clean upscale Indian restaurant in old town of Nuremberg, with absolutely fantastic food, and good looking environment! Samosas were great...slightly smaller than in the US but excellent. Mango lassi was fantastic, all inclusive of the cup it was served in. Tandoori garlic chicken was the main course and was great. Super tender juicy chicken with a sauce that packs a punch. I did observe that Naan bread was a bit thin compared to what I experienced before and waiter explained that Germans prefer it that way! The only thing I would say could improve is customer service....this place has none. Order food, you get food. That's about it. Staff appears not happy, and the feeling you get is that jail guards dressed as waiters are serving fantastic food. Don't ask any questions as they are not happy answering them.

The menu is extensive, with descriptions in both German and English…read more The peshwari naan has fresh raisins, slices of coconut, and shaved almonds. The Aloo Palak is very flavorful, with spinach, potatoes, and a strong fresh herb flavor. The paneer is tender and mild. Everything is delicious and well portioned. Both the mango lassi and chai latte were great. Not so sweet like American versions. Such a good afternoon trip away from Germany and to India.
