Note: they only take card if your order is over 40 euros! I had salmon chirashi (8 euro), hot green tea (1.90 euro for a large glass), and table water with lime (3 euro for a caraffe). The salmon, rice, and tamago (sweet omelet) in the chirashi were good, but I was disappointed that they put ginger sauce, ginger, and wasabi in the dish itself (I had to relive them because I don't like them). It also had a lot of shredded radish in the dish which I also removed, but there was still a lot of salmon and rice so that wasn't a huge deal.

    Sushi presentation is wonderful.

Another challenger approached, and more sushi eaten in the dojo belonging to Kokoro. First of all the restaurant is really modern looking. Not much traditional Japanese markers except a wall painting of what appeared to be a cherry tree. Lighting was somewhat too weak for my taste. Waiting staff was ordinary. I ordered an assortment of sushi like I typically do to see the presentation and flavor of different sushis. First of all the presentation was very pleasant. Lots of work is put into the presentation of the sushi and I respect that! The taste of most of the sushi was good as well however while indulging on some of the sushi I noticed that some of the internal ingredients were quite dry. This isn't the case with all the sushi I had but some of it was as said lacking in terms of relative humidity. The mixture of ingredients is quite abstract from other sushi joints I've been to so far. An issue I had as well was the feeling of lack of variety due to multiple menu items were very similar to each other. The wasabi had a real kick though! So use that sparingly. I had a chance to try the miso soup and it was quite rich in ingredients! Featuring a variety of vegetables including typical miso ingredients. It was also quite unsalted which I personally prefer(one can always add more salt themselves!). All in all it is a good sushi place, where you won't be disappointed at what you get, but some aspects could use some work!

Went here on a date. The restaurant is tiny and if you're going at peak-times, you can forget having a normal conversation cause it's super loud. On top of that, the food wasn't that great for the prices they had. We were expecting some authentic Sushi because of all the good reviews and pricey menu but it just seems like another ShiPaTo restaurant. The food isn't bad but it definitely isn't anything super special and we didn't see what all the hype was about.

    Miso soup- with green onions??

A modern looking, inviting restaurant in a cool setting, next to the modern art museum made us curious to try it. We got disappointed though- by the food quality in particular. The miso soup was almost thick with seaweed, sprouts and cabbage. The edamame were good (not easy to mess this up) but 4,80 I call way over priced. We liked the tsuki as a starter. The Momo rolls (No 80) were interesting and tasted good, but the Tokyo mixed platter a complete let down: the nigiri were dried up und far from being fresh, the sashimi pieces were tiny. Fresh juices are available in a big variety and look nicely presented but over 6€ for a cup size put us off. The place gets packed and is quite loud. As icing on the cake the place does not accept credit cards- only the ec-card or cash We will not come again.

Good service with good desserts. On top of that, great environment just a tad bit small. However not fresh salmon.

Sush is pricy and mediocre at best. Service is... well, efficient and without any hint of warmth. Will not return and do not recommend.

I didn't understand her initially but said no. I guess it would have been too much of a scene to ask us to leave, especially since everyone coming in after us had no reservations. Our order was taken promptly, the food again was high quality and delicious. When time for the check, the staff ignored us for an hour. I sent my children back to the hotel after 20 minutes as it had been a long couple of days of activity and travel. I waited an entire hour for the check after others who had come after me ate, paid and left. I could have left cash but wasn't sure if taxes were required and didn't want to pay too little. I drank 3 carafes of water while being ignored. As it got closer to closing and after I had to use the restroom, the manager/server finally made eye contact so I could request my check. If you are black or brown, DO NOT come here. Yoshoku is very close but was completely full when we went. That food looked just as delicious and I suspect won't come with a healthy serving of racism and disrespect.

Ten out of Ten, and we'll do it again!…read more We went to CoDung for lunch with my wife and two friends, planning to try their brunch. We showed up a day early, but that worked out in our favor. We shifted to sushi and nigiri instead. Every roll and piece came out fresh, well-prepared, and consistent. No weak items across the board. We also ordered the Wagyu gyoza, which stood out. Good texture, rich flavor, and cooked right. I ordered the Pho Surf and Turf XXL. The portion was solid, the broth had depth, and the mix of proteins made it worth ordering again. I left full and satisfied, which says a lot given how often pho can miss on balance. Our server, Han, made a difference. He stayed engaged without hovering, kept things moving, and had a professional, easygoing approach. Service like that changes how you experience a place. We didn't get brunch, but we will be back for it.

Very authentic Japanese restaurant! We met a Japanese friend…read morehere who recommended this place as his favorite lunch place. Lunch offering: We chose the lunch offering, which was a Japanese buffet. All kinds of Japanese dishes were offered; Sushi, Chicken, rice... everything was delicious. Price: although it was a buffet, the prices were okay from our point of view. We paid 13 or 14 euros per person but it was definitely worth it! Parking: it is a little difficult to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. Come with your bike of public transportation to avoid the annoying search for a parking spot. :)

German .. for english scroll down…read more Der erste Eindruck: japanisch schlichte Einrichtung. Preis: 130 Euro Qualität (0-10): 7 Service (0-10): 1 ****** english ***** My first impression when I entered the room: spartanic location. When in Japan - you´ll experience not many locations that look so empty. Really. But I´m not making comments on the location - I´m here to talk about the food and service. For people that are not familiar with the many possible options of the japanese raw fish dishes and options that are available - the card is overwhealming. What I found is that this seems to be the only japanese restaurant in or near Nuremberg offering the japanese Soup dish "Ramen". The food quality and amount of different Sushi is good. The Tuna Sashimi was really smooth - similar to what I experienced in good places in Japan. Ramen was really authentic. If you go for the Bento box and mix on what ever you want - you´ll land at € 20. Now the downside of the visit. As good as the food was - the service was a mess. The waiter was waiting .... and waiting.... and waiting - but for what. The room was not crowded. we asked several times for service - and it didn´t come. The long haired service guy seemed to be bored and was found drinking or playing with a bogey. Even if we asked - he didn´t show up - until we asked for the bill.... The room was cold and we needed to switch on the heating ourselves. This location was like Antarctica..... except the snow. KomeKome: my biggest wish is that you serve your guests like it is common in Japan when a guest shows up. Not with a non-service like that. Then you are entitled to get paid like it is common in Japan in better places. And then - but only then - I´ll come back. I was pursued to visit the KomeKome due to the positive reviews. In the end I was really, really disappointed. Not by the food. But the service was the worst I experienced since a long, long time. Long speech - short summary: good food - terrible service - because of the service: Probably never again. The edamame was a pretty small portion, were served on a plate thus they got cold instantly. The Hoso tuna pikant was not "spicy tuna", but somewhat boring. The Ura eel roll had lots of rice and little fish to it. At least the the nigiri of tuna, yellow tail and salmon were fresh but tiny for the price. The waitress was attentive at the beginning and offered an English menu but forgot to bring me my second beer later. Their ordering system is a check-off sheet that the guest fills in, at least this avoids the potential misunderstandings. We paid 75 € for a basic sushi dinner with mixed quality, so I award 2 stars.
