I had Leberkaes with a roll, sausages, potatoes with egg and the small coffee was included. I am a big eater and I was stuffed after devouring my food. Highly recommend this place for brunch. Also one of the few places where you can get some real Dampfnudeln. Also look around the surrounding area, check out the ancient cemetery and the baroque gardens just down the street. Buffet because it was so late was not as good as we had hoped. That being said, SO was able to get scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and a few other items. Coffee came in a bowl with 2 side handles. I stop a waitress, and she tells me to sit outside, saying "someone would come to take the order." I sit down, and after a few minutes, I am forced to practically "tackle" a waitress just to place my order. I order a glass of milk and an apple strudel; the milk arrives immediately. Ten minutes later, the waitress comes over and tells me, "The strudel will be here in a minute." Another ten minutes pass, and the waitress tells me they've run out (despite boasting about having "the best strudel in Nuremberg"). On top of that, I wanted to change my disabled son's diaper, but the restroom is downstairs and only accessible via a cramped flight of stairs; when I try to point this out to a waitress, she responds with annoyance... evidently, the trial held in this city a few years ago didn't eradicate certain "sentiments" regarding people with disabilities.

Now my only real gripe is that we never were checked on during our meal, when I actually took a second to check into the cafe on yelp, they were offering complimentary Prosecco which sounded super nice, however I never got the chance to ask for it as the next time we saw our serve our table was done with all food and drinks completed. We felt a bit avoided by the waitress which was unfortunate. At any rate, the cake was soo good, my wife very much enjoyed her breads with meat/cheese. And our drinks were very good as well. My mother and I went there for a lunch on the spur of the moment because it looked so interesting and healthy. However, that was wishful thinking. The salad bowls have endless number of ingredients: that became time-consuming to read and decide which one to order like this very entitled customer (more on that in a minute). That also created the problem for the staff who must spend more time assembling the salad bowls to the order. What's more, the very entitled customer in front of me spent more than five minutes discussing with the cashier which salad bowl to order and whether she could substitute the ingredients. The cashier was too accommodating and too loquacious. Oh, gosh, I was fuming due to sheer hunger. When it was my turn to order, the cashier pointed out that the hot dish I wished to order was 86ed. Nothing to indicate that when I looked at the menu board. I had to make the quick decision which alternative dish to order. My hot dish was promptly served while my mum's salad wasn't. We waited about ten minutes before realising something amiss. The guy who was preparing salad bowls suddenly stopped and took over the cash till when the customers came in. The staff was bouncing off the stations without any sense of priorities. My dish was getting cold so I walked over and glared at the guy to finish the salad bowl. Exasperatedly, my mum approached the guy to give the piece of her mind about the shambolic service. When she finally got her bowl, I was finished with mine. Unfortunately, the salad bowl was underwhelming and tasteless. Perhaps they forgot the dressing when rushing through. A guy with two toddlers got so frustrated and angry when his order for smoothie and a slice of apple pie weren't served after waiting more than fifteen minutes. A customer who came in after this guy ordered the smoothies and got them right away. That didn't sit well with the father. Just don't go there if you don't want to wait 15 minutes in the queue to order and another 15 minutes for the salad bowls as well as getting the dishes out of sequence.
