Stopped by Magnify on a Friday before NYE and apparently had the same idea as 100 other people. The tasting room was packed that night, but the beer baristas kept up with the rush and handled everyone fairly quickly. The Husband had a Turkish Coffee Porter with cardamom pint $8 and truly enjoyed it, I had a Baltic Porter fermented in oak with cocoa nibs and liked it as well. I came here in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday and really enjoyed this brewery! For starters, I loved the rustic theme they were going for with the mason jar lights and glasses. They don't sell flights, but you can buy the 8oz (half pint) and 16 oz (pint) sizes. Naturally, I wanted to try all of them so I ordered 8 oz of every beer to share. I can truly say that I enjoyed them all, but my favorites were the search saison and the black wheat. My boyfriend and I have different tastes in beers, but we both loved the search saison and ended up ordering a growler to go. My only complaint is that they didn't offer labeled flights so you can see which beer you are drinking. We ordered all of the half pints at once, so it kind of took some deciphering to figure out which ones we were actually drinking. The staff was really friendly and continued to come by and fill up our (free) pretzel bowl for the table. They also offered free tours for patrons. The tour itself was a bit lackluster; you just kind of stood there while they discussed the brewing process. If you've been on any type of beer tour, you could probably skip this one. If you haven't yet had a chance to visit Magnify...what are you waiting for?? I'm so spoiled because this is now a local brewery for me. Their four "year round" beers are Low Visibility Pale Ale, Search Saison, Vine Shine IPA, and Black Wheat. They often do limited can releases and special kegs of one time only brews, as well as variations on some of the flagship beers (eg. Vine Shine aged in gin barrels). We're so addicted to Search Saison that we served it at our wedding! So, the beer is definitely great. The owners? Passionate about their beers and always welcoming. Their tasting room has a great vibe - it's not huge but it has a good amount of space and seating. Magnify have proven themselves to be a major NJ beer contender, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them! read more

Sparklingly new yet low-key tap room, totally worth the hassle of finding it deep in an industrial park with laughably bad signage. Your GPS will get you close, just stay calm and keep driving to the way, way back and look on the right. Wildly reasonably beer prices: half pints $3, pints $5, growler fills $10 for 32oz & $15 for 64. No flights, I tried halves. Six regulars and two special beers at all times. Black wheat was a delightful light porter, deeply flavorful and the Low Visibility was an IPA in all but name - cloudy hoppy yummy ale, apparently too little (!) alcohol to be an IPA. It's located right next door to the Jersey Spirits distillery so if you REALLY work it you can have a shot, then a beer, lather, rinse, repeat lol. The only snacks are free pretzels. Bring your own sub, pizza, anything that will do justice to the fine micro brews at Magnify. Why not 5 stars like everyone else? Cos they didn't have a proper stout on tap when I visited, the bourbon-aged beer wasn't ready either, argh. So clearly I must return :) read more

Place is cute! The bartenders were nice as expected. The beer on tap is sold in mason jars and have high alcohol content for the most part. Lots of hops and IPAs. The beers I liked to most they did not sell in growlers because of the limited supply. WOMP WOMP. But they were launching an event the next day to sell them in Cans. Pretty cool to see NJ jumping on the brewery bandwagon. I enjoyed my time here, definitely a place to pop by and prices are reasonable. We'll be back I'm sure! read more

Nice place to hang out, very industrial feel on the inside, the staff was extremely friendly, almost felt like I was drinking at home. The beer was very good, I like that they had a good amount of unfiltered beer. The only negative was they were tapped out of a lot of beers I wanted to try, but that just means they were good. They had an experimental IPA that you need to get there to try before they are out. The black wheat was also great, thick like a stout, yet light like a wheat. read more

Love love loved Magnify! My boyfriend and I visited on Friday night since it was right around the corner and on my ever-growing to-do-list. Neat decor with wood long and small tables, wine barrels and a full bar when you walk in. I believe the owner's dad mentioned that the tables were recycled wood. We also learned that the beer tap handle is made from the wood of wine barrels - so cool. It was really busy when we got there, but we were still able to sit at the bar and try the beer we wanted in cute mason jars. The owner's mother was really friendly and explained all the different beers. My boyfriend isn't a beer fan, but he actually enjoyed the Search Saison and Search Saison Aged in Red Wine Barrel. He liked the flagship better, which is awesome considering we're red wine fans and the flagship is what's year round anyway! My favorite was the Pollinator IPA (brewed with local honey), followed closely by the Vine Shine IPA. I also was "challenged" to try the Black Wheat even though I don't love dark beers, and their claims are 100% true that it's "surprisingly light bodied for such complex black beer"... not to mention delicious. After it died down a bit, the owner's father showed us the brewery (with purchased beers in hand), told us the story of Magnify and about how the beers came about. I don't want to spoil everything so definitely give Magnify a visit!! Even took home a 64oz and will definitely be back for the seasonals. The first I'm thinking about - 30 Hours Imperial Pale Ale named after the fact that it took 30 hours to cut the 650 pounds of New Jersey peaches in the first brew. read more

By far my favorite brewery in the area! Staff is super friendly and warm. They remember who you are and ask how things have been...it's awesome! The space is not large. There are a few tables and a long bar. You never have to wait long to get a beer. There is no food, but you can bring anything you want which is great. Now obviously the beer is the main attraction. Their vine shine and low vis are my two favorites, but they always have new and exciting things on the board. I love when they experiment....the beer is always on point. You can buy cans and fill a growler their, too! I would recommend this place to any craft beer lover! You will never be disappointed! read more

Am I a craft beer connoisseur? Nah, but I drink a ton of it and Magnify Brewing is a great spot if you're looking for your thrill of New England style IPA's. They also have some delicious stout's and a few sours that are quite delicious. The ambiance is great and the servers are extremely nice. I have never had a bad experience when drinking at the brewery. Looking for something to-go for a party or just to drink at home? Bring a growler, or head over on Wednesday for their weekly can releases. Don't want to bother with the lines? No worries... you can usually go on Thursday or Friday and they'll most likely have some left. Sure the can prices are a pretty penny, but that's the price of craft beer. A friend had given us some cans from this brewery and we decided to drive down and check it out. The pros : TONS of parking. Decent selection of cans to go home. Friendly staff. Appeared to be very clean and well maintained. The cons : Super tiny, no food options and limited growler fills(at least the day we were there). My favorite local brewery and it is conveniently rooted 16 minutes up the road for me. The staff is informed and friendly and the beer is always tasty and cold. I have been wanting to check this place out for a long time. Magnify's brews have been popping up on taps all over NJ over the past few years and I've enjoyed every single one, so the visit was long overdue. The tasting room was on the smaller side, so seats can fill up quickly. No food is offered and the main focus is the beer. They will hand you a really cool tour card that explains the brewing process. I had the 7oz pours of "The Maine event" and "The Stained Glass Skies" both were excellent! I have a problem and the good folks at Magnify are enablers. See, I like beer. I'm particularly fond of craft beer. It just so happens that Magnify makes fantastic craft beer and they're only about 20 mins away from me. This is my problem. Week after week, they release new beers and it takes all of my strength to resist going and picking up some freshies to take home. Sigh. And I'm not even talking about the financial consideration, which is substantial! 4 packs range anywhere from 15-20 bucks each and you know I'm not walking out of there with just one. It adds up! Truthfully, I'm so happy I found them and that they're reasonably close by. They specialize in IPAs, particularly the hazy and juicy assortment that result from dry hopping (even double or triple dry hopping), which they seem to have mastered the art of. They consistently put out great tasting beers with an array of different hop combinations, and they also experiment with different styles and less orthodox brewing techniques. The results are interesting, exciting and usually downright delicious. Compounding this problem of mine is the fact that all the folks who work there, from Eric the owner all the way down, are just the nicest people and so welcoming. Real salt of the earth folks who love what they do and are sincerely excited to share it with you. I can't say enough good things about this place. Whether you're looking to post up and drain a few pints, grab a couple growlers to go, or stock up on the freshest new can releases (which, incidentally, always have fantastic art labels), Magnify have you covered. I like where this brewery is located. It's hard to find and you wouldn't think delicious beer is being made there. That's good for locals. I've had a bunch of their brews. The cans of IPA are my favorite. Not too trendy but a hipster vibe. I'm cool with that. I took some of their cans to Delhi with me on business and had the hotel staff asking about the brewery. I can't believe I haven't been here before! Magnify Brewing is a wonderful place to be for beer lovers. In the warmer season, Magnify had plenty of IPAs to choose from. They also had their imperial stout brewed with cake batter (Born Day), which is an incredibly rich and dark beer at 12% ABV. Their Sangria Saison was a flavorful fruit beer, not exactly my cup of tea but delicious nonetheless. Their Vine Shine IPA is their flagship brew and it's a real solid and refreshing IPA. I also had the Cryo Me a River, which just made it on the menu about a week ago, and I wish I picked up a four-pack for the road! Overall, the beers are great and the staff are friendly. What else could you want?! They do not have food, but you can order food or bring food there. The tasting room is small (about 4 or 5 tables) so if you do not get there early, you will likely have to stand until a table becomes available. There is plenty of parking since it is located in an industrial part of Fairfield. Go check it out! read more

This place is an awesome little gem in the middle of an industrial parking lot. I was very impressed with the variety of the beers, and there was definitely something for everyones taste buds. They don't serve food here, but you are more than welcomed to bring your own goodies to munch on while sipping on some quality beers. Now for some downsides; it's busy and crowded during the weekend, and there isn't enough seating when it get's rowdy. However, this can easily be fixed by starting your drinking earlier than planned ;). read more

Great little brewery close to my hometown in NJ. It was different from other breweries I've been to. I loved it! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because they did not have all their beers available, some of them were sold out I believe. Plus, they do not serve food here. The good news is, they do allow you to bring in food from other places. My friend and I brought in a pizza which tasted great with their beer! Sundays they close a little on the early side. Solid beer - Flashbacks Are Forever is exceptional. However, certain bottle prices ($13 for 16oz of Point of Divergence) absolutely aren't worth it. Also, expect to be treated coldly and unresponsively if you aren't a regular. They have no interest in talking about their product or space apparently; several members of the staff were extremely dismissive the two times I've been. Customer service needs SERIOUS work. Patrons shoudn't feel unwelcome and uncomfortable at a brewery. Bartender was routinely attending to friends and regulars and being outright dismissive of new patrons. Perhaps they should make it invite-only if exclusivity is so important to management. The beer is what saves this place, though it's not good enough to warrant rudeness. EDIT: Now quality control is an issue, with several releases plagued with diacetyl and carbonation issues. Not really worth visiting at this point with much superior competition around. read more

Music was playing really loud and they do not offer any beer flights. You can order a 4 or 5 ounce pour for $4 or a larger one, 8 ounce? for a little more. Beer is mostly IPA and light beers, so if you like lagers or dark beers you're out of luck. I tried one of their ales and hated it. $4 for a little 4 ounce and I even ended up pouring it out in the bathroom. It also wasn't cold. Of course this is just based on my taste preference. It was very bitter and more hops and maybe tasted as if it was released too soon from the fermentation process. My new local brewery! Ever since I moved to the 'burbs, I've been hitting this place up when I'm nearby for a quick pint, growler fill, or more. They even supplied a keg for my wedding! There's always something new to try, fresh as you can get, and the selection varies from fun barrel-aged specialties, to the more standard styles (with their own flair). The tasting room space is not particularly large, but is open to the brewery space, so you get a good view of the facilities as you taste what they have. The can releases lines can get a little crazy, but that's the sign they have something people definitely want! read more

Great beer here and the folks are very friendly. My wife and I had the Vine Shine IPA, Cheat the System, and Search Saison. All the beers were very very good and I'd rank them in the order I listed above. The Search Saison is literally a wine/beer combo that actually works and is great on a hot summer day. By the way the wine component we are told is that it is aged in oak barrels. We also got a growler for home. I thought everything was reasonably priced as well.
