Cheri is THE HAIR GODDESS! I am so happy with how she transformed my brassy previous "ombre/balayaged" hair. My previous stylist promised me should would not make my hair brassy "at all", well to my horror after multiple toning sessions and 200$ (pre tip), my hair was a nasty orange mess. (I have fine naturally dark brown hair with red undertones) I gave my hair a 1 month break and made an appointment with Ms. Cheri ahead of time. (she is booked until April at this point! And it's february) Cheri is super friendly, and makes your time with her super comfortable. Not a bad salon. Has a ton of potential. Lyanna (probably spelled that wrong) cut my hair. I have curly, frizzy, thick-in-some-places, crazy hair, and she handled it pretty well. I'd def go back again. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because the place is a little dirty. I sat in a chair that had fresh hair dye splattered on it. This review is for my brother's haircut. I had my hair cut here before by Lyenna and it turned out really good. However I had my brother get his hair cut here and we got a different lady since I couldn't make an appointment early enough got Lyenna. I showed her a few pics of the haircut my brother wanted (which he had styled before at another salon but it grew out) and she said, "don't worry I got it." She didn't listen to what we wanted, it didn't look like the pictures, and she was way too scissor happy. I didn't like it and my brother hated his haircut. Honestly they don't deserve a star!!!! I am sooooo upset!!!!! I should have walked away when I read the review on Lan! She DIDN'T WASH my hair she just sprayed water. When she was done she didn't even style my hair. I asked her if she could straighten it. (Usually when I get my haircut they straighten it and then go back to it and check the length and trim) she was in a rush. She barely straighten my hair and kept pointing out my hair is nice. My hair looked like crap! She kept asking if I like it if I want more layers... She already cut off more than 3 inches! I wanted 1 inch off. I walked outta there so upset! She didn't deserve a tip. I went home straighten my hair and noticed my hair was uneven!! My right side is shorter than the left.... There was no layers! I am sooooo disappointed! IM NEVER coming back!!! I have black curly hair, and my stylist was able to get me to blonde, not orange...not brassy, but blonde two tone highlights, and the magic to it all was that my hair was not damaged and this was done in such a short time. Excellent service at this place. I made an appointment in the morning and headed down after work and got my hair cut right away! She showed me the length of hair she was going to cut before cutting it and then she worked her magic. For just 15 bucks and less than 10 minutes I was completely satisfied with my hair. I just walked in and didn't have to wait. Got my haircut from Anh. She was super nice and sweet. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted and she did just that. They also offered to color my hair right there and then for a discounted price of 65 (altogether with the haircut). I just went from black to a brown, so Im sure it would cost more if you asked for a drastic color change. But it was my first time at Magic Touch, and will have to definitely come back next time! Today, I came back for the second time to get my hair cut at Magic Touch with Trang. I've been to a few places and finally I feel I've found my go to place. Trang is the Best! I was late for my appointment and Trang didn't mind and accommodated. I wanted a Bob cut but the sides of my hair were still a little short. I asked Trang if there's a way she could cut it close to a Bob or A Line cut. She took time and listened to me. She cut it not too short on the back and the sides just enough to maintain style. I called super last minute on a Friday night for a Saturday appointment and THANK GOD Lyana had a cancellation and was able to take me. It was my first time here and the staff were all very polite. A bit of a language barrier with some, but nothing we couldn't work out. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and explained the differences from the picture I wanted and she got right to work. I LOVE the end result. Where I work I can't have anything too crazy (even though I would have loved to have MORE purple) but I needed something subtle and that is exactly what I got. I love that it is balayage/ombre because I can put it in a bun and hide some of the purple if I need to but down looks great. The only minus was I wanted more cut off my hair; theres a lot of dead stuff...I told her in the beginning I wanted it right below my shoulders, but after she colored it she just trimmed it. I didn't say anything because if she would have cut more, she'd be cutting the purple off and I loved it so much to see it laying on the floor...HAHA. So I'll enjoy this for a while. Maybe when it fades I'll get a shorter cut and redo the color part. But overall, I LOVE my hair, and Lyana was great! read more

Today was my first visit with Magic Touch, and I went in pretty nervous to get my hair cut because my hair was so long from the last time i got it cut (3 years ago!) My husband and i walked in and were immediately welcomed but the owner, Cherri. She asked me what i wanted and looked at the pictures i brought in with me, and handed me off to a hairdresser. I showed the lady (i think her name was Lori) the pictures i brought in, and she grabbed all my hair, said "bye bye hair" and chopped it off.... and that was that. After she washed it, it seemed to go by very fast, and i was getting scared because i wasn't sure she heard all my requests. By the time she was done, i asked my husband if he liked it, and he kind of nodded, and said "yeaaa, whatever you like" Thats when i knew he expected something different. When everything was done, Cherri (Sherry?) Was like, "oh no, i know what you wanted... sit back down." She fixed my hair (gave me a little more layer and texture to it) and my husband was smiling from ear to ear- i could tell he loved it. I would have liked it the way it was, or dealt with it, but with Cherri helping, I bumped it to 4 stars.. the reason its not 5, is because had she not stepped in, i would have had to ask for help somewhere else.. over all a good experience, and good service. read more

I loved my other salon too but I couldn't make an appointment anymore =( so I was EXTREMELY worried switching at first because I don't trust my hair with just anyone. I had an appointment with Ming for a balayage and when I walked in the salon the front desk lady told me to have a seat for it will be a few mins. 20 minutes passed and I'm still sitting there waiting. So I asked how much longer it will be and Ming said she will try to have her client done in about 30 mins because she is falling behind. Where is her common courtesy to let me know ahead of time that she was falling behind schedule. Right away I was greeted and welcomed by Jerek. I usually get the simplest haircut possible to make it easier for the hairdresser because I know how long and thick my hair is. But not only did Jerek asked for my opinion throughout but he also gave inputs on how he can cut my hair to make it more manageable. He is very detail oriented and he overall made it a good experience. I didn't hear him complain about how long or thick my hair is whatsoever.
