I walked in (I called before hand to make an appt and they said for haircut they like walk ins) and waited for 5 mins. Hong was available and the haircut was simple and fast- 20 mins. Save your $20. Do not come here. I repeatedly told them I only wanted a trim. Less than 2 inches. They acknowledged and agreed. Over the course of the appointment they kept cutting more and more very quickly without asking. By the end they had layered it and cut more than 4 inches off. My mom and aunt come here, and I liked how their hair looked, so I started coming here as well. This was my third time going to Tina; however, I'm pretty disappointed with how my hair came out. I came in for a touch-up on my roots and I had blonde highlights, but they're pretty copper-brown now and the top of my hair looks like chunks of highlights. Thankfully, it's not as bad from the side, but I part my hair in the middle so it's all I can focus on. I tend to go to places based on personal recommendations, so I'm sad to say this will be my last time here. I will say, as I waited, I saw three young boys get their hair done; it seems like kids' cuts were $15 and they all looked good. However, for the $150 I spent, I would rather have spent a little more somewhere else to ensure I left feeling good about it. Starts out as sweet only because she wants to call u Baby but dont go against her cuz shes got a bad attitude for a little person. They hilights were nice. It was the worst haircut I have ever gotten. First, Tina charged me an extra $10 for a hair wash that did not include conditioning or even a massage. After the wash, my hair was still soaking wet. Without properly combing through it, she grabbed sections of my hair and started cutting and chopping. I was honestly in shock. She continued cutting randomly, and at one point I told her that I actually wanted to keep my hair long. I'm not sure she understood. By the time she finished, one side of my hair was short, thin, and uneven, while the other side was still long and thick. It looked terrible. After leaving the store, I was so upset that I decided to go back and ask for it to be fixed because it was too embarrassing to go somewhere else. Tina seemed to disappear, and another gentleman working there kindly offered to help. He checked my hair and did his best to repair the damage, but unfortunately the haircut was already beyond saving. He at least managed to make both sides look even, although "even" still meant both sides looked bad. I honestly felt bad that he had to fix the damage Tina caused. Cant remember if i had been to this salon long ago but i loved how fast the wait and service was! I showed tina a picture of the cut i wanted and she did not disappoint!! I felt bad using my card for tip despite the signs prefacing cash tips are better but next time i wont forget to bring cash!! My layers look choppy and uneven. It's definitely not blended and prior to the cut I had asked for long layers. The stylist proceeded to chop it short anyway. I came in with a blonde, faded, coppery color and wanted a red/purple ombré/ balayage full head and Judy got down and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. She worked with my hair to protect it and gave me really good advice on maintaining the color. This review is solely for the amazing lady, AMY!!! It was such an impulsive decision when I walked into this salon that has been here for awhile. I was getting tired of driving all the way to San Jose for my haircuts and dyes. I didn't make an appointment and decided to give it a try. Initially I just wanted a haircut but after talking to Amy, I decided to get my hair dyed as well. Keep in mind, Amy did not even talk about dying my hair or anything. I was flying out for a vacation the next day and it was one of those spur at the moment decisions. LOL I asked Amy if she had time to give me a balayage! And she did not hesitant and took me in at like 3/4pm! She was absolutely amazing! I've never had my hair this short. And I absolutely LOVED IT. The balayage came out even better than I thought it was going to be. She stayed after hours to make sure that the color came out right! She is one of the most genuine hairstylists I have ever met in my life. You know you've met one of those that either super fake or did not care at all. She's such a lovely person! Do yourself a favor and do NOT come here. I came in for a simple root touch up and cut. My regular stylist was busy so I go to another stylist (older, short hair). I give her simple instructions - V shaped hair cut, very little if any taken off the back. Simple enough. The layering and cut is atrocious. She attempted to Fix the choppy look by adding SO MANY "layers" which made it look worse. It was evident that she rushed though it as she was helping someone else at the same time. And she of course took a significant amount of hair off the back. WAIT THERES MORE! I walk outside and realize my roots are still the same color. I wanted them black to match the rest of my hair. Don't go here for eyebrows unless you want to pay to get your eye brows butcher. The lady messed up my eyebrows made it hella thin and waxed so much leaving my arch so naked.
