Today she went for a touch and completely changed her hair color from blond touch up to ashy blond. My mom never asked for Ashy blond! And she never had ASHY BLOND BY ENEIDA. I called in for last minute appointment. It was around 12:45pm and by 1:00 I was there. Soon as I walked in I was seated and Natalie began to cut my hair. I'm very appreciative that Natalie knew exactly how much hair to cut off. I told her I wanted it right below the shoulder and she did just that! She made sure not to over cut my hair. She cut off a good amount without making my hair look too short and Im very happy with the new length because I have wavy frizzy hair and if it's cut too short it puffs up badly. I have gone to Classique for a couple years. I wanted to get a shorter cut than usual and a blonde color. The color was truly a red tone. I felt like a clown it was so red. I went back to have it fixed and it was brightened not toned down. I spent two 2 hour sessions; one to cut and color and 1 to fix the color. I spent more money on product out of the shop (Purple) to tone down the color. Not a happy camper. Be careful. oooh and I came with color pictures of what I wanted. I was explicit and ended up very disappointed. When I relayed my dissatisfaction after the second attempt to remedy the color I was told, well....it's blonde. No follow-up by the salon to salvage this relationship. Not cool! read more

Natalie is excellent! I've slacked off lately with maintaining my blonde hair (natural color is medium brown), and Natalie fixed it right up. She recommended only doing the roots because my ends were very dry and she was right. I contacted Classique Styles on the recommendation of my neighbor. My mother, who is 86 years old, has been staying with me for several months and is used to getting her hair done every month, so was getting increasingly annoyed with the state of her hair. I called the salon and Eneida was very friendly and helpful, though she didn't have any appointments available that week. She took my number, and shortly thereafter Natalie called me and was able to book appointments for both my mother, and myself within a couple of days. (I haven't had a trim since pre-pandemic!) I was able to secure a free 2 hours parking spot in the public parking 1/2 a block from the salon, and we walked up. Upon entering the salon *Masks required* I was impressed with how beautifully they had decorated with Christmassy garlands, lights, and flowers. It was quiet and not crowded (like those chain chop shops that crank out 15 minute cuts all day ) We walked in and within minutes Natalie took my mom for her wash and cut. It was so nice to see my mother happily chatting and smiling with Natalie as she was being worked on. I couldn't hear what was being said, but was very grateful for the kindness and patience that Natalie showed to my mother, who barely gets any human interaction anymore due to Covid restrictions. So my mom was happy with her style once they were done (though a little sticker shocked at the price, which I thought was reasonable, but she's used to small town prices, $10 for a cut, $25 for a perm!) I have long straight hair with bangs, pretty simple. Natalie took her time asking me how much I wanted off the ends, and if I wanted layers or not before starting my cut, and engaged in pleasant small talk while working. Then instead of simply combing out and cutting the ends, she parted it into sections and trimmed each layer until it was all even. She evened up my bangs that evidently have been crooked for yeas, and straightened up my part as well. I never once during our time there felt she was rushing to make room for the next client. Once I was finished Eneida came up to greet me and introduce herself in person as well. The whole time we were there I noticed how friendly everyone was, and that most of their clients appeared to be long term return customers, which I took as a good sign. I am very glad we took a chance on this salon, and will definitely be going back again. read more

I LOVE this shop!!!!! Moved back home about 7 years ago and didn't know where to go. By LUCK, Divine Intervention, or whatever I found Classique Styles by going through the yellow pages. My hair is very fine and shows any imperfections when cut. My first appointment was with Sylvia. She took care of my old, ratty mop and transformed my hair into something I didn't have to hide under a hat. I have only had one bad experience and it was because Sylvia was on vacation and I went somewhere else. NEVER again. Sylvia is absolutely AWESOME!!! She is very sweet and entertains me while I'm there. Which is no easy feat, as I may be old, but I have the attention span of a three year old. Tracy, Aneida, Mariah and the rest of the staff are nice too! Sorry if I didn't spell your names correctly or didn't mention you specifically... Great place to go for professional services. I love getting my hair cut here by Tracy. I've been coming to her for years, and she's amazing and always manages to make my hair look outstanding. I have long, wavy hair that can be tough to style but Tracy manages to give me long layers that work wonders and stay looking great for months. The other women here are super nice and friendly, and Sylvia, who did my hair for prom a couple of years ago, does a great job as well. She did a classic bun with a soft sidesweep for the occasion and not one strand or piece of hair came undone the entire night. The place is always clean, bright, and the women are totally professional. I usually get a wash, cut, and style for $30, which is reasonable considering not only the work that's put into everything, but the skill with which it's done and the quality I receive. My first time here today and I was booked for an appointment with Norma. All I needed was a basic trim to take some of the lifeless ends off and clean up some layers and areas I had botched myself. Norma did an awesome job! She was quick and did exactly what I wanted. She also asked me questions about my usual hair care and gave me some tips based off of what I told her. I even got a free sample at the end! And for the efficiency and quality of work the price was awesome. I paid $25 and it was money well spent. The salon itself is nicely decorated without overdoing it like other places I've been too. There was a nice, relaxed feel and tons of natural light. A little gem in San Leandro. My son and I've been going to Tracy @ Classique Styles for probably about 15 or so years. The salon is clean, bright and cheerful. The stylists have all been there for years. The vibe when you walk in is super friendly and professional. The products they use are all high quality professional products. No one ever pushes you into purchasing any products or unnecessary services. The stylists are all very educated on the products/ services and are genuine when suggesting them. At times it can be difficult to get an appointment with Tracy but, I consider that a true sign of how great someone is. Tracy knows I'm a bit of a chameleon when it comes to my hair and I get bored very quickly and change my hair drastically and frequently. My hair is naturally medium brown (as far as I can remember :)~ She's always accommodating and over the top creative with my colors, cuts and highlights. The salon offers the stylist classes all the time so, they stay hip and in touch with all the latest techniques, style and trends. Tracy has colored my hair every shade I've ever dreamt up, from platinum white to Flamingo pink to bright red and back to natural brown with bleach blond highlights. My hair has never been over processed, brittle or lacked luster. I trust her judgment and expertise 100% and have never left the salon disappointed or doubtful at all.
