they are nothing that i asked for. Peter said he was doing "glitter for free" to find out, it's not what i wanted. they were big, bulky, and uncomfortable. i asked for acrylic, and he did top coat 20x. it felt very rushed and annoyed. i asked for a "fancy J" and he gave me this. he called the original color i wanted 'ghetto', then did the J with the same color. i came back to get them redone, T did amazing!! they're exactly what i asked for, perfect size, color, actual acrylic! i will come back, but T for Troublemaker will directly be asked for. did the perfect "fancy J" very personable, very good guy. i think that's the only way i'll come back here. once he's gone, this place will probably close. only good business i've had here. i'd give T 5 stars!! but Peter and the woman are not great. read more

I called 3 days in advance to schedule an appointment. But, when I showed up for my appointment the lady had no idea who I was or what I was here for. She offered to fit me in after she was done with the current client. However, when I asked for the design I wanted she was nervous and not confident in her abilities. To clarify, I wanted all black nails and my ring fingers to have nude bottom with a black flame. Instead of her being honest and telling me if she thought she could absolutely do what I was asking she told me she wasn't sure if she could do that but could try. I told her if it was too much to let me know because I didn't want to sit for 2 hours only to hate the end result. Her body language was nervous but she kept repeating she had never done anything like that and would just see what she can do. While she was friendly, I'm giving a poor review due to her lack of honesty and professionalism. She confirmed on the phone my appointment and name but failed to put it on the calendar. She wasn't honest with me with her abilities but told me I'd have to pay either way. That is not what I am looking for in an nail technician. It would have been much better to be blatantly honest instead of waste my time. read more

Yesterday was my first time visiting and while this is in a strip it's a little hidden gem I think! I went after work as it was closest to my job and I needed a fill and thought why not? I was greeted by Kelly as soon as I walked in and she was super friendly. I didn't wait long and she got right down to my fill. She noticed my nails were done poorly before and not the shape I had wanted or even the length of them all didn't match. She explained things to me of what the tech did before her that was wrong and what she should have done. This was soo educational and appreciated!! We talked and laughed and she did her very best to fix my nails. She told me because of the job done before she didn't want to guarantee them but if something happens to just call her and she would fix me up! Her husband Tiny was also very friendly and we all laughed and had a nice time. She also had Tiny come over and fix them up as well. I really appreciated their hospitality and work and I have finally found a "home" nail salon! Don't be fooled by location this husband and wife duo is fantastic and I will return!! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. First, I called about if someone had time for a mani pedi at 'x' time. They said yes. Just say no if you don't have time.....I got there waited for 45 minutes before I was even close to getting started. When they finally started in my pedi, they cut my cuticles so much they were bleeding everywhere.....then glued the blood on so they could actually paint the nail without getting blood all in it. Mani- same thing. Cut me so much it took 20 minutes for the blood to stop to actually paint my nails. Glue on the cut.....I still can't get off 4 days later. The lady doing my mani was so distracted with phone calls and what everyone else in the shop was doing it took forever.....3.5 hours later I walked out with cut up fingers/toes. $85 bucks later and 4 days later it's already chipping off. There's a good place down the street. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Having a great nail salon will truly enhance your experience living in a city. I haven't had a great nail tech or salon in a while! Where I'm from, the dilemma is usually there's so much demand, people usually settle with rushed work or inflated prices. HOWEVER, Magic Nails proved to be a balm while I was visiting Tulsa! I stopped in after a lunch break and had superb customer service in a tranquil environment. I wish I could frequent this salon more often! It's been over two weeks with travel to five states and my nails still look amazing; so much so that I kept them for my birthday celebration. I am so happy to have found a nail lady who takes her time, doesn't overcharge, and does exactly what I ask for. She was so friendly and we talked and laughed while she checked in to make sure I liked the shape throughout. It really isn't easy finding someone to do them like this, or however you prefer, thoroughly and without rushing you. I've been doing them this way about 2 years now. If any of you ladies in Tulsa like having your nails done, I'd absolutely recommend you see Mimi at Magic Nails on 51st & Sheridan. I didn't expect them to do be my new spot, but I'm happily surprised. Will not visit again! I had a 1pm appointment set for 3 people for their $20 Pedicures that they were promoting. When I get there they had only 2 staff member qualified to do pedicures. Both were working with customers already. My first person got started at 1:32pm. Normally, I wouldn't have waited so long but the staff was friendly and courteous. My second person got started around 1:45pm. No biggie, I went to go get something to drink. I came back to, both staff members still busy with my people. However, now the owner was present (Peter). I went to the back to see how they were doing. Peter, stop and ask what I needed. I told him I was with the customers being seen and waiting for mine. A lady came in behind me for her 2pm appointment. The staff had already told me to sit at a chair. Peter began being disrespectful to the staff saying the 2pm lady should have been seen before me. Also talking to me like I was his child. Yelling and complaining before listening to he's staff. My pedicure started a 2:08pm. Usually, I would have cussed him out and walked out. But I drove 30 minutes from home with my disabled mom and daughter for this appointment. Peter is a bad business owner and leader of this establishment. He owns a few others and I will make sure I don't go to those also. Being a previous business owner for 10 years. Customers should never have this kind of experience. read more

I'm in town visiting family and couldn't go see my normal girl in California so I went in for a fill today came out with the worst looking nails ever! Not only where the nails very lumpy and miss shaped but my nails were snagging on everything I touched! I was also charged $30 for the fill not sure why when there prices said $15 for a fill!?! I recently moved to Tulsa and I've been trying out nail salons around the area. I called magic nails to ask for the waiting time or if I could be scheduled in that day, a woman said I could come in in 10 min. I got there, picked a color, and sat at the nail station for about 35 min. I was then directed to another station and an Asian/African American woman who barely understood the shape I wanted, started away. She didn't file the little clumps of acrylic under my nails, and I guess I can fix it myself, but what I definitely didn't like was that she left one of my middle fingers nail shorter than the the others! It might not be as noticeable but it just bugs me! I gave then 3 stars because they're bathroom sink was sick, and because they gave me a Dr pepper while I got my nails done. read more

I see some not so good reviews on Yelp and can't speak for what happened to them or who their nail tech was but I have been going here for years. Tried this place several times at a friends recommendation. They couldn't accomplish the shape, length or design I wanted. I got stiletto shape in black matte the last time and the polish bubbled. The crystals I paid extra for were unevenly glued and fell off 2 days later. Never again. I tried Mimi and two other male techs they had. Don't waste your money. read more
