French tips were super cute, no complaints! I originally booked Tony for my dip but was given Chrissy instead. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the manicure. I asked for a natural look, but the dip came out much bulkier than I wanted. Even my boyfriend commented that they looked like bubbles on my fingers. The finish also wasn't smooth, and with chrome, every bump and divot is noticeable. The polish started chipping after about a week, and by a week and a half, my middle fingernail chipped and the nails started lifting. My dip from my usual salon has lasted up to four weeks, so I was disappointed. During my manicure, a woman came in yelling at Tony to come outside, and he had to step away from the appointment he was working on. He had started her nails after I was already halfway through mine. I'm not sure what the situation was, but it was unexpected. Everyone's experience may be different but I'll be sticking to my usual salon.

My beautician was Dawn, and I specifically requested the color I wanted. I showed her photos and everything. What I got was black hair when I requested red. Big difference. When she finally cut my hair it took a total of 2 minutes and was also not the result I had wanted. Dawn knew I was upset, and even acknowledged my frustration. However, she was out of the salon even before I could leave a tip. (I am not an animal, I still leave tips even for bad service. At least 15%) The best part was when I went up to pay. I was charged an additional $20 for a "comb through". While I haven't a clue what this is, I was still perplexed and inquired about it. I was told it was like a toner. This was crazy, as I had asked Dawn if I would need a toner and she told me no. I attempted to argue this point when paying, to no avail. I would not return to this salon. Horrible results and shady practices. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because my daughter was satisfied with her cut. She isn't the one paying, though.

Beata and the other ladies use Essie and OPI nail products, sterilize everything, and are one of the few nail spas that use OPI drying drops instead of a drying spray or dryer. The results are so much better with the drying drops. No smudges or kinks in your nails because only the top layer of your nails was dried by the adhesive. The facials here cannot be beat if you have problem skin. The spa only stocks Dermalogica products and does all of the facialists do a detailed consultation to determine your problems and needs. Manicures are $20, pedicures are $40 and facials are $80; however, the prices are well worth it. I have never been more satisfied with a facial, a pedicure, or a manicure than when I leave Ambiance.

My daughter (the birthday girl) opted for a mani-pedi with custom polish and glitter--Tom was thrilled to oblige, mixing colors and adding sparkle exactly as requested. The results were vibrant and precise; she hasn't stopped admiring her nails since. I treated myself to a gel pedicure with Tiffany, and it was flawless--smooth application, perfect shape, and a relaxing foot massage that melted the day away. Every station was impeccably clean, the tools sanitized, and the overall vibe serene. The only minor hiccups: the kids' pedicure felt a bit pricey for a no-polish service, and checkout was slightly awkward--you can't add tips at the register and must Zelle each technician separately. I recently visited Magic Nails and was initially thrilled with my dip powder nails. They looked fantastic right after the appointment. However, my excitement was short-lived. Just two days later, I noticed that two of my nails had chipped and were flaking off, which was very disappointing, especially since I hadn't done anything that would cause them to do so. I contacted the salon to see if I could get them fixed, but the available appointment times didn't work with my schedule, and since I'll be out of town for the next week and a half, rescheduling wasn't an option. I understand that accommodating my schedule isn't their responsibility, but I was still frustrated. Additionally, I paid in cash and was not offered any form of refund or even salon credit, which added to my disappointment. While I appreciate the initial appearance of the nails, the fact that they chipped so quickly and the lack of options for a fix or refund means I won't be returning. I feel like the $80 I spent was a waste. read more

I walked in as a walk-in and should've walked right back out. I went in for a basic mani-pedi, and it turned into a complete nightmare. She started cutting my cuticles with no care at all--I was bleeding everywhere. It was painful and unsanitary. I'm honestly shocked I didn't end up with an infection. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a salon. I talked to the owner about it, and she told me to come back and they'd fix it. So I made another appointment and came back out of my way--and then she says, "Oh no, we're just going to change the color, not actually fix anything." I was like, are you serious? I asked for a refund and she flat-out refused. No apology, no accountability. The owner is a rude, nasty woman with no respect for customers. This place is a total joke--dirty, careless, and completely unprofessional from top to bottom. Boycott this place. There are plenty of nail salons in the area that actually know what they're doing. Do not go here. Ever. This place should not even be in business.
