I'm so happy I found this place! They are AWESOME! Don, is AMAZING. I happened along the salon when I was going into Salon 360 for a haircut. I popped in and made an appointment for after my haircut. Don gave me what is without a single doubt the BEST pedicure I have EVER had!! I almost fell asleep, and I don't think I've ever had anyone outside of a masseuse give me such an amazing leg/foot massage. I'm new to the area as I'm so glad I went with my gut feeling and not the reviews of others in choosing a nail salon. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. My pedicure was the best one I've had in years. I've been getting super super deluxe pedicures at other salon and I got a better result with a basic pedicure by Don. I'm getting my nails done here but yesterday was a full different experience. I got my nails originally done on Monday. They were hella cute and then I accidentally broke one. I got my nail fixed yesterday but I was not expecting the reaction from one of the ladies that did my nails. She was absolutely rude saying that she squeezed me in just before her next customer. Which I added thank you for squeezing me in to fix my nail. She then stormed off and said My next client is here and made a whole scene. She then proceeded to fix my nail that I had broke while constantly complaining about her next client's minutes and how it was almost closing time. read more

I came in after work for a Tuesday special $20 dollar pedicure. The salon was clean and I was greeted by the staff. My pedicure itself looks great and I liked the massage chairs. I wish they had more color choices and that the girl who did my nails was a bit more social, but overall I would say it was definitely worth the $20! I will be back! read more

Do not recommend lady wanted to charge me $15 to cut and push back the cuticle when I was paying $30 for my dipped nails already, I've gone here numerous times and the male owner of china cook does my nails the majority of the time when he pops in and he has never tried to charge me to cut the cuticle or nail fold I'm disappointed because it's so conveniently located next to my office but would not recommend to anyone anymore. read more

I am honestly disgusted right now. This is thee worse place to get your nails done. First off, it is beyond dirty and dusty all through out the place. The guy who was doing my toes couldnt even put his shoes on all the way and be presentable for work!!! Did NOT even paint my toe nails all the way. I was supposed to get a mani and pedi and i stopped at the pedi. Then the guy ask for a tip. Yeah i got your tip!!! ignorant!! My Eyebrows: I will say this, BERT from BERT AND ERNIE! They were looking crazy! I walked into this place and Susan HOOKED ME UP! Typically, when I get my eyebrows done, I say, "I just want them shaped up", but then, I leave out the spot looking like I cut all my eyebrows off, and drew them on with a pencil...a jagged pencil at that. I'm definitely a fan of this place. This is my 2nd time having service (spa manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax) at VIP Nails. I come here when I'm in the area. VIP nails is very clean, friendly, and professional. They actually take their time. I would suggest you going if you have time to relax because they normally spend about 30-45 minutes on your pedicure. With the spa pedicure you will receive a foot scrub, massage, warm towel, etc. They have a variety of nail colors and nail art if you are into that type of stuff. I've never had to wait a very long time either. I really like them because they completely polish my entire fingernail when getting a manicure. Some of the other places I've visited miss the corners and I'm sure it's not on purpose but I don't know how you would miss it if you're looking at it while painting my nails. Again, I really like this place and it is a must try. They can be a bit pricey but worth it. Price list for spa manicure and Pedicure is $50; eyebrow waxing is $10 The special they have going right now is $30 for spa pedicure and classic manicure P.S. Right now they have a special going on - $5 off manicure and pedicure; Teachers and students will receive 10% off with student ID; Senior citizens is 10% off everyday. I love supporting local businesses, but I am way disappointed in my nails after visiting. I went for a mani/pedi for my 30th and couldn't have been more disappointed with the finished product. On both my hands and feet, my cuticles weren't given that much attention, just a few snips. The leg massage was great though, I'll admit. The polish job on my fingers is terrible. I could have done better myself. It's a shame because this place is close to home. Bring cash because there is a extremely miniature sign in the back corner telling you there is a $2.50 charge if you use a card... Which he didn't point out to me until I gave him my card to pay?? Also, I slammed my finger in a car door and my nail was bruised and he puts a new nail on then tells me that my finger nail is going to fall off... THEN CHARGES ME $5 to put the nail on that he knew was going to fall off! Also did a horrible paint job but I was there 2 hours so I was ready to go at the point of seeing that. read more

VIP is a great place to get your nails and toes & waxing done. Their price on eyelashes are CRAZY CHEAP and they do a FANTASTOC job (seriously it is I think $30-$40 and that is like $20--$80 less than some places. Got so many compliments too. Oh yeah the massage chair alone is worth the $25 Pedi price. I will be a customer for life. Sheri is AWESOME and knows everyone's name. She is personable and professional. Omg! Just had my nails done by Amy. In my opinion, she was very rude. Not even normal, acceptable social niceties like hello, how are you. Rarely even spoke to me. And when she did it was to "bark" orders at me. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! When giving a service that expects tips, Amy needs to learn that her disposition, as much as the quality of the service, determines the tip. Gratuity from me would have been much better had I felt my patronization of the salon was appreciated rather than that it created an annoyance for her. read more

This place has always been solid in my book. Went in Friday night with my sister and mother. No chips all around and my sister want a pedicure also. Everything was great up until it was time to pay. The woman rushed through my pedi, did not scrub the bottom of my feet, no hot towel service, and horrible paint job. I could've done a better job myself. The polish was smudged on both feet when I returned home despite her telling me it was dry. My no chip manicure was no manicure at all, cuticles look bad around the nail and she did not go through with the brush to clean up errors. Also, I felt like the girl rushed through the service, which clearly showed in the errors I did not wish to bring up when I was there (I try not to be that custumer that's a bitch). The first and second time I went they were exceptional. I went 2 weeks ago and the gentlemen who did my nails did an awful job. They were crooked, lumpy and the sides chipped three days later. I had somewhere to be and I didn't notice until I left and I was going to go back but never made it back. I did call though! I went back today for the redo and after waiting for over an hour, another 45 soaking and then another 30 minutes to put a new set on ... they would only give me 10% off. I'll never go back again. This place is by far the best nail salon in Joliet and believe me I have tried almost all of them. They do a great job on my pedicures and manicures EVERY time. Sherry(owner ) is absolutely amazing...love, love, love her! This salon use to be one of my top picks but not so much anymore. There are only a few of the girls there from about year ago and the rest are sloppy and rush through the service. This is the third no chip manicure in a row that I have gotten and it has peeled at the top and chipped. The new staff is bringing this place down. Got a full set, white tips. I've been several times before and never had any problems. When I walked in there was on person doing nails and one doing feet. There was one person already sitting and waiting for service, not sure how long she had been waiting. After maybe 10 minutes of waiting a woman and her young daughter walk in. She tells them she wants hands and feet done for her daughter and she wants her bails removed. 3 techs come from the back and they immediately take them both, while I'm still waiting. When I am finally called they were really rough and she kept messing up and needing to go back over what she had already done. My nails do not look good at all. The polish is very bubbling and the nails seem a bit uneven. They don't feel comfortable at all. Today was not a great as my previous experiences. read more

I love getting my nails done here. The owner, Sheri is just wonderful! Her staff is well trained and take the time to do things right. Even if some employees can not speak English well, they'll try to have a conversation with you whenever they can. On Saturdays, they open at 9:30am and I witnessed the whole staff cleaning everything from massage chairs, tables, registers and preparing for the day. I don't know if you see that at other salons, but this salon is kept together, clean, and friendly. Hope you try it out! read more
