For the prices they charge you would think they could put more than one piece of roast beef on a sandwich. It started out to be a decent place to eat but has gone downhill over the years and seems to be getting worse. I don't know if the business has slowed down at the store or at the restaurant and one is having to help the other out but something has changed. There is one girl that works days that is nothing but a flirt. She stays out front smoking before going in to work. I hope she washes her hands! This is NO Ray's PeGe for sure!!! read more

GROSS! I only gave 3 stars for the service. There is no way that is ray peges gravy! Thin and greasy. 3 thin slices of ham and one tomato that didn't even cover 1/4 of the bread. Unsweet tasted like it sat there all day. Save your money, or take a drive and visit the magic grill on 165! read more

They say it's all gravy and to be honest about it, that's exactly what made me want to go there. I have loved french fries and gravy since I was a little kid and I haven't had any in many years. Both were quite good and I enjoyed myself thoroughly. For some reason I felt that the chipped and faded paint on the booths was just charming. This is an every man's kind of restaurant. I was craving a good burger and since Magic Grill was named Best of the Delta in 2011 & 2012, I thought we'd give it a try. We drove from Ruston (about 30 minutes away) and met some friends. Our burger patty was thin, processed, charred and dry and wouldn't you think a Hamburger Po-Boy would have included enough meat to fit the French bread? Nope, it was 1/3 empty roll. And the bread was dry. Pitiful! But what SHOULD I expect for $10. We ordered sweet potato fries and fried okra that were probably just some frozen brand but they were the best part of the meal. Our table wasn't very clean. There was an oily residue from the damp rag they used wipe it off. Our friend ordered a club sandwich that looked pretty good but I noticed she had pulled off the bacon because it was too tough to bite into. Our other friend ordered the shrimp Po-boy and only ate the shrimp because her bread was also stale. Then I got a couple of the cookies in the Otis Spunkmeyer display and they were old and stale. I went to eat with my children on Monday. Magic Grill advertises that kids eat free on Mondays when you order a kids meal and and purchase an adult meal. I did both. After I paid I realized I was charged for both. I asked if they still did "Magical Monday" and the manager co firmed that they did. I asked if I could be refunded the kids meal, and they said no, you couldn't be refunded after you had already ordered and paid. Except, they had just refunded my sister in cash after they charged her for something she didn't order. Later, when my husband called, their excuse was that the kids meal I ordered didn't qualify. How?? No where on the sign does it specify which kids meal qualify. Also, we were charged more the posted prices. I will never be back and never recommend any one to eat there. read more

So we came here because we wanted something unique to the area. The food was great! Staff is super friendly and it didnt take too long to get our food. Why only a 3 star rating then? The place needs a serious cleaning! Everything was sticky, chairs, booths, tables, floor and around the base boards was dust and fluff that looks to have been there for a few years. If it is this dirty where we eat, I am scared to see the back where they cook the food. If this place was clean, it would be one of the best places in West Monroe,LA!! read more

Man, was this place disappointing. It started off promising, as the staff was very nice and friendly, not to mention easy on the eyes. I ordered the burger combo and anxiously waited with my girlfriend for the meal to arrive at my table. The wait wasn't bad, (about 10 minutes) then my meal arrived. When I lifted the bun up to get a look at my burger, the disappointment was overwhelming. First, there was absolutely nothing containing moisture of any kind on the burger. No mayo, no ketchup, no mustard. Normally, this would be ok if they had provided packets or if anything was on the table. There was a bottle of ketchup at the table at least, but no other condiments. Next, the burger patty was about as thick as 4 sheets of paper stuck together. This is not an exaggeration. It was the thinnest, saddest burger I've ever seen. Where's the beef? Not at Magic Grill, that's for damn sure. I bit into the burger hoping the taste would make up for the lack of substance. Nope. It was dry and bland. Even the fries were boring and seemingly mocked me as I stared down at them. Maybe some of the other items (po-boys, hot dogs, etc) are tasty, but avoid the burger like the plague. This place is only worth the visit to see the hot staff. If you're a female, then you're s**t out of luck. read more

This place is hit or miss every time and when it's off it's way off. I've been served po-boys with one piece of sandwich sliced meat more than once and had fries so greasy they were horrible. So be warned it might be good or very disappointing. read more

I absolutely love this place! I always get the roast beef Po boys and they are made just like the old Rays Pee Gee in Monroe did them back in the day. All the staff are very nice and friendly too. I never miss visiting the Magic Grill on Arkansas Road when I visit West Monroe. read more

We know the history of Ray's PG. Ray himself used to give us suckers every Sunday. We have lived in Texas for almost a decade, but when we come in town we need that poboy. It's the original and so nice. There roast beef poboy can't be beat. Everything was hot and fresh. The staff is also great. read more

The gravy is great on everything served here. I've had it with burgers, fries, hamburger steak, and on their "Best of the Delta 2011" roast beef po-boy. Good food and friendly service. My husband and I are traveling the southeast from San Diego. We loved this place. I have never eaten near a gas station and was a bit leery but the steak po boy was delicious. The two young ladies who were behind the counter were so sweet. They even put a pin on their map to show where we were from and how far we traveled to get there. read more
