We never really go.that far past Wilcrest, so when we passed Magic Cup today, I chose it over my regular place. I like that they also have a drive through. They aren't that efficient at working it, as the wait time for them was as long as boba zone...but boba zone has a full line and they had no line. There aren't a lot of places that makes wintermelon milk tea. I asked if they would make it into a slush and they said yes, but if you don't like it, no refunds. We also ordered Cha pineapple and voodoo chicken. The total was 17.92. The slush was very light in flavor. I actually didn't mind too much, but for the price...they definitely skimped on the ingredients. The chapineapple looked good, but it was just okay and my friend said he would have preferred bigger chunks of fruit. He also said they skimped on the chamoy considering the large size of the drink. I really liked the flavor of the voodoo chicken...but that was not a lot of chicken imo. I asked to see the receipt because I was like how much did this cost?! Well...they didn't give us a receipt, so...I don't know. The drive through lady was super nice...but she took the money, then promptly forgot what we ordered. Then we reminded her, but she rushed off to get the drinks before we finished talking...then forgotten rest of our order. We had to remind her again. All in all, the experience was okay. The larges are huge! I would say it's worth the slightly higher cost, except they definitely watered it down. I found it funny that they verbally and visually had disclaimers about off menu items, but appreciated their being upfront about it. I feel that they were a bit disorganized at their drive through in wait time and order accuracy. I think this place has a lot of potential, but not worth me driving past places closer to me when price and flavor don't quite meet the standards. read more

The staff of young teens is always very helpful and eager to make sure that you are able to drink something sweet or eat something great. Definitely one of my favorite tapioca/snack spots in the Bellaire area. I've come here many times, and there wifi is alwyas on point. I have been going to Magic Cup for a while, especially when Boba Zone gets way too overcrowded. The menu prices has changed to a higher price and it's not really a "study cafe" which is a shame especially from the many outlet ports (big bonus so good for them). The reason for this is because of the noise. Depending on when you go, there are people talking LOUD, if you don't have noise-cancellation headphones (really recommend those) and the music they play is not study friendly either. However, I don't believe it's supposed to be a study cafe but more of a hangout for friends and such. Other than that, I do recommend bringing noise-cancellation headphones if you are going to be studying or need chill time, and the prices going up is understandable but more pricer than other places. If you do want a place to hangout and just chat, it's not a bad place. Won't stop going, but some warnings beforehand. read more

The tea has a perfect balance of milk and tea. Every sip it makes you want to sip another and another. My tea didn't last long and made me wanting more. I am definitely going back to get anotha one! Cute place! I'm surprised it has taken me this long to come check out this place. It is on the other side of Bellaire so it is a little further drive from Chinatown (like a couple of minutes). I can easily see this place as a hangout place or even to study. The inside is clean with a straight forward menu. I had the matcha green tea milk tea while my boyfriend ordered the mango slush. Both were good and if I have a bigger stomach, I would hog both of them to myself. I thought the level of sweetness was the right amount. Service is always really quick and friendly at Magic Cup! Their drive-thru is very useful if you just want to grab a quick drink, which I usually do. The interior is clean, modern, and welcoming. It's a great place to hangout with some friends! My favorite drinks to get is the Cha-Mango and the flavored fruit teas. I like how they are made with real fruits and are garnished with the fruit as well. I'm not too fond of their milk teas, but I am a fan of their tapioca balls. They have a great texture! One of my friends and I's go-to places for a small group hangout! Service: The service here is pretty good and fast-paced. They call you up by the number you were given to get your drinks. Cashiers are friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the beverages or snacks. One time, however, I saw a cashier looking visibly annoyed because a customer was taking a long time to decide. It's understandable since I know the workers have a lot to get done, but it wasn't that busy. So I have to deduct half a star for that one cashier since I see him pretty often and I never really got a good experience with him. Environment: 5/5 for the clean and comfy atmosphere. Restrooms are also clean. Chairs and table are big and they have many outlets, perfect for group studying or hang out. However, don't go here to study during their rush hour. It can get loud and although they have free Wi-Fi, it's not a very good connection. Entertainment: They have a wide variety of board games. Unfortunately, customers badly mistreat them so they're dirty and stained. It's a shame since my friends and I love their Taboo and Exploding Kitten board games. But it's either missing cards, or super dirty. Drinks: Comes in sizes Small and Large. Their Large is equivalent to the regular boba drink size, but a bit pricier. You can get the small for a cheap price, but in my opinion, it's not enough. I think it's because their drinks are very unique and good. This is my third time coming to Magic Cup. My dad found this place driving around Bellaire and bought me a strawberry smoothie with tapioca. & since then, there's no other tapioca place I would get strawberry tapioca at. It's basic, simple, and delicious. The fact that it doesn't taste like frozen strawberries and topped with ACTUAL fruit on top, just makes it that much better. The last time I came here, I brought my boyfriend to try it and he got the strawberry smoothie with tapioca and I got the mango smoothie with tapioca. Delicious, as always. For their drinks, I've also tried their fruit tea, which tastes like most fruit tea drinks. Expect not with chunks of fruit, but a combination of small bite size fruits and jelly. It was okay. Not necessarily something I would buy often. For their food, their kimchi fries are good, but nothing compared to Oh My Gogi's (sorry!) and their voodoo chicken has a scale of spicy from 1-4. My boyfriend and I really enjoy spicy foods, so we decided a 3. BOOOY, it definitely was spicy. Worth it. Before corona, this place was very relaxing and great to use as a study area or a place to just chat with friends. They closed down the inside for a bit, but now I think it is back open. They have a drive-thru. The reason why I am giving it 4 stars is because one day I found a hair in my voodoo chicken. They were nice enough to offer to remake it, but I asked for a refund instead and they gave me my money back. I don't like my teas or coffees very sweet- that's why I order them this way, but most people order them regular. The other "drink" but more like a tropical dessert is the Cha-Mango!
