As a client of MaidStay's for more than a year, I was never notified that they were shutting down. I only found out because the housekeeper I regularly requested contacted me on the side, and I was able to stop my recurring payments. She has also shared that even to this day (July 2022), they have not paid her for the final cleanings she did for the company.

I had cked out the reviews prior to her coming and thought I would give this woman a try. BIG MISTAKE!! RUN do not allow this woman or her workers to clean your home. I use to clean homes professionally. This woman is not a professional house cleaner. I have aids in my home and they do light cleaning and dusting. I do not need someone to durst. I have asthma. I need the dust removed from the wall behind the dresser. She does not clean behind dressers. She told me that you wash kitchen cabnets from the top to the bottom. If you clean kitchen cabinets this way you will get streaks that will never come out. She told me my ins would only pay to have one room cleaned. The last Cleaning company that came to clean from my ins. company wa scheduled for a little over a week. She (Gloria) wanted only to wash the inside windows. I said look that window is on a door.. and there are a whole lot of windows that run up the wheelchair ramp. I should not tell you how to do ur job. I don't want to hear what the ins. is not going to pay for. As this was not my previous experience with another health ins. Cleaner. I hope yelp will allow me to keep this review. I priced the job. Also, their website clearly states they use their own cleaning materials, but when I walked into my kitchen I saw that she had all of my cleaning materials out from under the sink and on the counter. Typically, I wouldn't mind, if I hadn't been charged a certain price for this service expecting them, as stated on their website, to bring their own supplies. They DO NOT make beds. Shocking to me, never came across a maid service that will clean a toilet but not make a bed. Just not too impressed with this service and will be looking elsewhere.

Do not hire this cleaning company. I got completely SCAMMED by them when I was 9 months pregnant. I…read morehired them to come and deep clean an apartment I was moving into. I usually would do it myself but I was extremely pregnant and it was not safe for me to handle chlorox etc. The apartment certainly needed a deep clean after being lived in for years but it was NOT filthy since it had been painted and the floors were re-done. The bathtub was being re-done as well and was not ready so I asked them to clean around it. The stove and fridge were also brand new. It is a two bedroom, one bath. Two women came to clean (one was almost 30 minutes late with no phone call indicating that she would be arriving late). Once they had changed they immediately started requesting supplies that were beyond what we had discussed over the phone. I provided them with everything even though each time they would send me back for something else. I left them in the apartment and when I came back an hour later, the door was chained. It was 3pm in Prospect Heights-- NO reason to chain the door shut when it could simply be locked. When I called later and asked if this was a standard practice of the company, I was told that it was not. After 3 hours of work, my husband came back to pay them and he was told not to enter the apartment because the "floors were wet." He paid them and tipped them without thinking much of it. They also demanded that he give them a 5 star review on the spot. He told them he would have to wait for me to see the place. When I came back the next day (moving day), i was SHOCKED that the only thing they did in 3 hours was mop the floor (with a dirty mop) and clean the windows. They did not open one kitchen cabinet and did not even appear to have entered the bathroom. I had to clean the entire apartment myself. When I called back, I will say that Claudette offered a "discount' on future cleaning services which is a joke. I would NEVER call them again. I think the positive reviews are either fake or maybe they have a huge disparity in staff. EIther way, BEWARE.

We had never hired a cleaning service before, but had heard great things about Maid in JC, it seemed reasonably affordable, and we decided to give it a try. We were completely blown away, Yali's work was worth every penny, and we can't wait to do this again when we need it. Yali was so kind and considerate, organizing where she was working so I could stay out of her way and vice versa while I was working from home. She made sure to ask about our cat Chloe and where she tended to hide (under the bed). After the work was finished, I was immediately impressed, but then my wife and I spent the next day or two continually finding new things that we were stunned Yali had cleaned and so effectively. She was so through and with so much attention to detail, it was absolutely mind boggling how much she helped us in just a few hours. Would absolutely work with her again if given the option to do so.
