The bagels are smaller and taste like your run-of-the-mill bagel from anywhere outside the New York metropolitan area. Today I came in with my mom, ordered my usual; plain bagel w/ chicken salad, lettuce, tomatoes, pickle on the side, and an iced French vanilla coffee. My mom ordered an everything bagel scooped out with veggie tuna salad, lettuce, tomatoes, and a pickle on the side. For whatever reason, today wasn't a good day. The young lady helping us, though very nice, gave my mom what appeared to be a half teaspoon of veggie tuna spread on her bagel. She gave us each one piece of lettuce and 2 half slices of tomatoes on our bagels, which btw we were charged an extra .55 cents for on top of the $5.29 (price of the bagels). Under new ownership and have to say that quality of the bagels vary from good to bad. Sometimes you'll get a great bagel but I feel when the owner is there and the servers skimp on the cream cheese leaving you with a a dry cream cheese spread. The Everything, Salt, Sesame, cinnamon Raisin, and French toast bagels are our favorites. It's a treat that is delicious with butter, cream cheese, or flavored cream cheese. The everything bagel is extremely light colored and didn't really taste like an everything bagel and the corn muffin was barely toasted with a "blob" of cream cheese. My girlfriend recommended that we try this place for bagels on a recent Sunday morning, and man, what a treat! Everything looked fresh and the bagels were awesome. They even have french toast bagels, something I have heard of but never actually seen before. I decided to have an egg bagel, toasted, with tuna salad and an apple turnover. Delicious. As good as the food was at Magic Bagels, what really impressed me was the friendliness of the people working behind the counter and their machine-like efficiency.
