I am beyond impressed with the work Jose and his team did on my daughter's car! The before-and-after difference is incredible. Her car had several noticeable scratches and dull and oxidized paint along the side and rear, and they made it look amazing again. The paint matched beautifully, and the finished work looks smooth and professional. You would never know how scratched up it was before! They truly brought her car back to life. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality body and paint work! Great customer service and great affordable pricing read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but I wanted to share the really positive experience I had at Magic Auto Body and Paint. This place is tucked away at the end of a lot and truly feels like a hidden gem. I'll start by saying that I have a Tacoma truck, which is known for roof and hood paint peeling, and it was badly in need of a new paint job. I came in over a holiday weekend and met Jose -- a really nice guy who wasn't pushy or trying to upsell me. He genuinely wanted to make sure I got the paint job I wanted and that I would be happy with the results. Two days before the truck was supposed to be ready, Jose called to let me know it was already finished, and he said he had a surprise for me. I took an Uber over the next day to pick it up, and I was honestly shocked by how amazing my truck looked. On top of that, he had done extra work and didn't charge me for any of it. The quality of the work, along with Jose being a genuinely good person, is something you just don't see very often nowadays. If you need any paint work done, you would be crazy not to at least get an estimate from his shop -- especially if honesty and quality work are important to you. Thank you again, Jose. I will absolutely be back with more business in the future! read more

We were in search of a new paint job on our recently purchased 2002 Honda Accord we wanted original color. Found Magic Auto Body & Paint on Google. Jose reached out immediately and gave us a killer quote just by sending him pictures. We took the car over he reassessed everything and honored his original quote. We dropped off car in what was to be a 3 day job was only 2. Car turned out beautiful. I have a couple more older vehicles in need of new paint. We will definitely be back. read more

No one really WANTS to spend money to get their car cosmetically fixed, but Magic made it worth it! I chose not to use insurance and was quoted a fair price. Great communication, timely service, fair price and a beautiful result! Couldn't ask for more. Now I don't have to be embarrassed to drive my own car. It looks great again! read more

I took my 2003 Honda Accord EX here to meet with Jose for a estimate to repaint the entire car that was severely weather, sun damaged for years! Jose gave me an unbelievable great price to fix door dings, polish out the headlight, and primer, and paint the whole car. As I always get two -three estimates I was shocked to hear some of the other estimates some shops we trying to BURN people for. Jose is the man to see at Magic AUTO HE TRULY IS A GREAT GUY FIRST OF ALL, AND VERY, VERY FAIR IN HIS PRICING. Now, I was completely shocked how quickly he finished the job in like literally two days! Given the fact I lived fairly close to his shop he even extended me the courtesy of picking me up at my house so my wife and I didn't have to go crazy trying to rework our busy schedule to get over to pick the car up. THANK YOU FOR THE EXTRA MILE SERVICE JOSE! So, when we arrived at his shop there was my "Beautifully" completely restored to like showroom quality condition the job Jose did on my car was beyond my expectations! TRULY BEAUTIFUL! People in my neighborhood stop and ask where I had this car painted after knowing what it looked like prior to being resurrected by Jose at Magic Auto! If you don't take the time to get an estimate from Jose at Magic Auto your throwing your hard earned money away. "Thank you Jose I'm soooo glad I decided to o with you to bring my car back to looking like new" You are the MAN! read more

Just got my truck back. I bought my truck in 2016 and since then I've had lots of little dents and dings recently I messed up my tailgate so I decided to get it all fixed up. I got my rear bumper and tailgate replaced and painted, both of my running boards were repainted from wear, A dent in my front bumper was taken out and repainted, as well as taking out two dents on my passenger side bed and repainting that whole side. With all the work that they did, it only took them a week to get my truck back to me. read more

Once again I am extremely satisfied with the repair work and painting done to my vehicle by Magic Auto Body. I had another vehicle repaired by them about 13 years ago and they haven't lost their touch. Work was done in a timely manner and at a decent price. Jose was very polite and professional and if I need work done in the future I will be sure to use them again. Bob H. read more

I will never recommend this co. For anything . Had body work & paint job done. I looked ok at first but part of the body work failed. They took responsibility & said they would fix it for no charge. Ended up they charged $600 cash no further warranty & the guy was not the owner & didnt take any responsiibility (was just a sneaky worker) . When i went to p.u. Car as i drove up to it there was immediate visual recognition of mismatched paint! Not worth my time at this point. I just hope everyone reads this & boycotts this business. read more

I bumped my driver side mirror on my Toyota Sequoia. The Mirror fell out and some plastic was damaged in the mirror casing. Because of it being not safe to drive, I carefully brought my SUV to Magic Auto Body & Paint for a quick look without an appointment. Jose came right out and immediately after 20 or so minutes got my mirror reinstalled. What a relief. Jose was very kind and professional. I strongly recommend his business to others. I am very grateful. Thank you Jose. read more

TLDR Version: Stop looking for a body shop these guys are your answer. Seriously. I'm not a fan of 5 star reviews and I don't give many! But these guys EARNED it! I have a 2007 FJ Cruiser and needed the hood repainted as the clear coat was bubbling off. I was informed that they would have to "feather" the paint so that it would match the weather bleaching. We dropped it off and in 48 hours they had repainted the hood AND the front fenders, BOTH of them! I was worried and said I only asked for the hood to be painted. I was told that yes that is what they did. I said I never asked for the fenders to be painted, worried about the bill being several hundred dollars more. It was explained to me that IS how they "feather" the paint together so it blends together well. I was shocked! The price was what we agreed upon and the paint job is immaculate! The vehicle didn't look that good new! I've never thought black could be shiny, I was wrong! They're not a big or fancy operation but they're exemplary and outstanding! If you're looking for a body shop that does fantastic work, fast, and for a reasonable price, stop looking these guys are your answer. Brick read more

I took my golf cart to Justin to have it repainted. He gave me a quote but it ended up requiring more work than expected. He kept to his word and charged the original quote, not a penny more. Love Jose, he's upfront, honest and does quality work. I was looking at replacing my 02 Tundra, but since it never gave me problems and the interior was in great shape I figured I'll spend the money to repaint and remove the small dings and large dent. Brought it in on a Friday and picked it up next Friday and this truck looked brand new from the day I bought it at Bob Baker. It looked better than new it was gorgeous. He also went beyond what I expected. The seriously faded headlights were crystal clear and all faded black molding was restored to original luster. Outstanding read more

In December 2021, I came out of a quarantine from COVID only to find my perpendicularly parked Mustang's front end considerably damaged. The impact from the unidentified vehicle was so hard that it had pushed the car into the middle of the next parking spot. The age of the car, a 2001, made the prospect of repairing it difficult, but thanks to AAA, and most especially Justin and his team at Magic Auto body, the car is now whole, fully functional and on the road again. Justin's work is exemplary; he's done previous work for me before, but the thing that convinced me to ask his help in fixing my Mustang was his demeanor: I have been in the service industry for decades, and Justin is probably the friendliest, most accommodating person you will ever meet in a business environment. Having your car repaired is much like going to the dentist: none of us ever want to do it, and the process is often times painful, but Justin makes the experience more of an encounter and an arrangement between acquaintances, instead of just you being another number on a random computer screen to be taken care of. I have other vehicles that will require paint and body work. There are dozens of shops throughout San Diego, but I will most likely return to Justin because of how well he treats his people, both in and outside of the paint booth. Thank you Justin, and Magic Auto Body! read more

I was victim of hit and run. Fortunately, I found Justin of Magic Auto Body and Paint of Lemon Grove. He gave me a quote and stayed to his quote irregardless of the substantial damage that would have cost more. He was thorough, efficient and pleasant to work with.
