It's a perfect combination of cool sour cream with hot, fluffy potato wedges. I haven't been as impressed with other things on the menu, but they are ok. The nachos are a generous serving and the club sandwich uses Dearborn Brand meat product. The service is always friendly and attentive and the food comes out quickly while it is still hot. This is a steady local diner that is great for a quick meal, especially of broasted chicken.

As I was walking in there, there was a lady working there with short brown hair and a blue/black jacket on (I have no idea what her name is but she was an older lady who was my waitress) she happened to be in my way and I tried to maneuver around her so she just bumped into me as I was walking to the table and she SAW me coming and trying not to bump into her and I smiled and understood it was possibly a misunderstanding and no hard feelings. So I just walk to the table to sit down and greet my family. Then I find out rudely that she was their waitress when she came up to the table my family was at by bumping into ME forcing the touch on my shoulders not even saying sorry and gave me and my family a nasty attitude the rest of the time we were there. If anyone wants to eat there... DON'T unless this lady gets fired for putting her hands on me very rudely without talking to me about it she does that. Since the food is great though, I recommend just getting it ordered for takeout. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR SIT DOWN WITH THAT ATTITUDE. NO ONE SHOULD EVER PUT THEIR HANDS ON SOMEONE LIKE THAT PERIOD.

Decided to check it out after working from a local library. Upon walking in, the ambiance is welcoming and casual. The wood floors looked very clean and it just felt clean. Since I was here mid-afternoon, the back part of the restaurant was closed, so I took a seat at one of the bar high tops. My server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Baja Chicken Rollup without bacon and with ranch dressing on the side. It came out pretty quickly. And did I mention that I also had the fries?! The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked so that they weren't too crispy or too soft. They were addictive! The sandwich was also amazing, though secondary to the fries. The side of ranch dressing was perfect. The condiments were served in small plastic containers, which were a reminder that this was great food in a bar and grill. Everything was very tasty though and I don't mean to discount the food or service, as it was top notch. Definitely recommend! Check out the pictures below!

My dog's groomer is right across the street or else I would have missed out. I walked in and ordered at the register. The menu is written on a chalkboard. I was hoping for a spinach omelette but they were out of spinach (same as last time I was there). Instead I opted for a veggie omelette with cheese. I also ordered a coffee. The way their system works is that you place your order and pay; then you're seated and your beverage/food is brought to your table. I sat in a booth and my coffee was very promptly brought out to me. The ambiance is absolutely adorable with red and white tablecloths and balloons. There is also an ice cream counter. It was a very pleasant setting in which to enjoy my coffee. Within a reasonable amount of time, my omelette was served with a side of toast. The omelette was huge and filled with lots of tasty tomatoes, onions and green peppers, all finely chopped and perfectly seasoned. Hash browns were also tucked inside the omelette. Although the cheese had been forgotten, I didn't miss it too much because the omelette itself was so delicious. The toast was served with delicious homemade strawberry jam. I could only eat half of the omelette and was given a box to take it home. My server was a very sweet young girl who kept checking to see if I needed anymore coffee and if everything tasted good. At a nearby table, a woman spilled her glass of water and people from the kitchen immediately came out to clean it up. They were extremely good spirited and reassured the embarrassed woman that it happened all the time and was no problem. The atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend Grace's Kitchen in Point Place as a charming spot for breakfast or lunch. It's on Summit Street across from Aunt Linda's Pet Grooming and H&R Block. Check out the picture of my omelette and the inside of Graces Kitchen. (For some reason they appear below my prior review.) While other reviews note that this is a cash-only establishment, I used a credit card both times I was there, though I left a cash tip on the table this time.

Decided to check it out in the hope of having a meal and getting some work done around 3pm. As I was walking in, I noted the posted hours and they were closing at 4pm. Oh well. As I entered the restaurant, the server was sweeping the floor. She showed me to a table. I was the only customer. I tried to ignore a slight musty smell-as if tables had been wiped down with a musty rag, to give you an idea. The server, Crystal, couldn't have been nicer. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and she brought the iced tea in one glass and lemonade in another so I could mix it up to suit my taste. Nice! I ordered a Turkey Reuben with dressing on the side. It came with an order of fries, and Crystal promptly brought ketchup to the table without being asked. I had pulled out a file to review but my food came out in no time. Everything was exactly as ordered. The sandwich was decent and the thousand island dressing tasted homemade. The fries were good. Everything was solid but the food just wasn't amazing. However, it was a good value at a total of $12-something. The cash price was a bit lower than if paying by credit card. While I had hoped to get some work done, I felt distracted because the restaurant was clearly getting ready to close. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Just packed up my laptop and left. Would I return? Maybe. It just wasn't the leisurely meal I had anticipated given my arrival so close to closing and there was nothing that would make me want to rush back. I'd recommend checking it out for great service and their specials (e.g., all you can eat fish for Lent).

I had no idea this was such a hidden gem and have to share my experience! Upon walking to the entrance, I saw a cozy lounging area just outside. Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff and also soaked in the artsy and upbeat atmosphere inside. It was so unique in a very great way... artwork everywhere and lots of seating possibilities. For some reason, I expected ready-made sandwiches but learned that everything is made-to-order to ensure freshness. The two staff members couldn't have been more welcoming as they introduced me to the DaCapo Coffee family. There is also a location in Lambertville, MI - a sister location in Bedford Township by the same owner. I am sorry to admit that I'm one of those people who tends to special order. I decided on the roasted turkey club but didn't want bacon or mayo, nor did I want the croissant. They were very accommodating and made the the sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. It was also approximately 5:00pm and I was the only customer but I appreciated their flexibility. I took a seat at one of the tables while I waited for my to-go order and admired the cool wood on the tables. It was a reasonable time before my sandwich was ready and the gentleman who made it carried it out to me in a paper bag. As I left DaCapo, I kept thinking about its very artsy, comfortable and positive vibe. Plus, I enjoyed half of my sandwich once home- excellent quality and delicious. I'll definitely be back to try the coffee and energy drinks. Absolutely check out this place. It was so refreshingly alive and relaxing at the same time!! Check out the pictures!

Walking in for the order, it was the same wonderful down-to-earth diner ambiance that I love! I have come to believe that carryout can be more difficult for both staff and customers because it needs to be done right at the beginning because there's no opportunity to correct things later- without a return visit. There were a few things that weren't quite right and I'm not sure if it had to do with me reading texts from my family, if I got it wrong, or if it was on the part of the restaurant. No matter, it had to do with side dishes and not main entrees. Still, the little things could have been easily remedied if we had dined at the restaurant- which wasn't an option for many reasons, including the restaurant's limited hours, as they were only open until 3pm on a Sunday. When I picked up the orders, a staff member helped me carry the bags out to my car, which I greatly appreciated. Everyone at this restaurant was super nice! Since we were celebrating my mom's birthday, her entree was the most important and she said the liver and onions were delicious. My nephew was very happy with his chicken chunks. My niece didn't complain about her beef nachos. My brother and sister in law said their orders were just okay - a philly sandwich with onion rings and a turkey sandwich with gravy and onion rings. They said the sandwiches lacked flavor. Since they didn't comment about the onion rings, I'm judging from the photos that they looked amazing. My Turkey Reuben was fabulous, along with the fries. Plus, the side of Thousand Island dressing was perfectly delicious. It's hard to make everyone happy, so my rating is partly based upon my consistently excellent experience at Mama's Kitchen, including omelettes and other breakfast/brunch food. I would overall recommend Mama's Kitchen for its delicious homemade dishes and warm service. Therefore, I'm rounding up to five stars for this unassuming diner that generally over-delivers at a great value for your money!
