Place is cute... quaint & cozy spot to grab a good coffee & read a few pages from your current book! Staff was 50/50 = some were moving fast, prepping orders, restocking while others seem to stay in their lane & not leverage their support to move the patron's orders along... my order, while larger than the 2 customer's behind me had a coffee item. I had ordered 3 croissants & 4 other bite sized items. I managed to get that box first then my coffee. While the 2 behind me got their coffee & went on their merry way. I wasn't too happy that my order for the coffee wasn't a part of the prepped items at the coffee station. Had to wait a little longer for that to be served - 4 extra minutes to be exact. I would have expected my coffee before the boxed pastries. Now for the croissants themselves - I was a bit taken back that they were $9.00. Places like La Boulangerie or Maman has them for $5.00 (plain) to $7.50 (filled). I'm pretty familiar with many others within that same price range. Therefore $9 was a huge hike in pricing. Nonetheless I ordered 3 & they were fresh, delicious & probably worthy of repeating. But only if I want to indulge in the price of said item. Total for my order which included (3) croissants, (5) medialunas & (1) cafe con leche came out to $52 - I included a 15% tip in error because my mind was really processing the prices.

The owner, Kriztina, is a pastry chef from Belarus who recently opened the shop. With their cozy inside space and outside tables facing NE 183 Street in Aventura, it's a great place to enjoy pastries and casual brunch staples. For me personally, I also had the opportunity to practice my Russian! I started by enjoying a regular Americano coffee no sugar, perfect after the gym. Next up, served with two pieces of baguette, I enjoyed their spinach shakshuka. In case you're not familiar this was a delicious bowl of melted Parmesan cheese, two eggs and spinach. Equal parts tasty and a source of protein! I can't finish a meal without dessert, I enjoyed their "svirniky". This traditional Eastern European dessert is essentially a cheese pancake served with sour cream and spoonfuls of a cherry compote. I would definitely recommend; it's satisfied my sweet tooth without being overly sweet! Since the best way to learn a language is not just repeat the phrases on Duolingo, I mentioned to Kriztina that I'm learning Russian. Once I visited Oori's website, I knew I had found the spot! Walking in to the bakery today, i was overwhelmed by the delicious scents wafting thru the tiny space. I was even more obsessed with the adorable lil dachshund running around. As I waited for my order, everyone there couldn't have been nicer & as I looked thru the display case, cane upon a beautiful looking delicacy. The baker/owner i believe explained that it was a pizza type pastry made with Shokupan (Japanese Milk Bread) & the customer standing behind me exclaimed "they are amazing!". I bought one & it was so delicious & incredibly interesting flavours including, yes, pizza but the spicy honey drizzled on top took it over the edge! Fantastic. Can't wait to try the absolutely gorgeous cookies tomorrow. If they are even a bit as good as they look, then we're all in for a treat! Will definitely be back soon.
