Maybe they're good at their job. Don't know. They added rates to the site of $159/hour. I assume that's per mover. For my move (Madison to Milwaukee, equivalent to a 1 bedroom), that means they were quoting somewhere around 7 hours. Just to put in perspective: it takes no more than 2 hours to get to Milwaukee from where I am. The number of items in question is no more than 2 hours - 1 hour to load, 1 hour to unload. So where's the other 3 hours coming into play? Not sure - their quote isn't itemized. But I didn't select them. read more

They were going to move 1 heavy couch for me after a big move around 7:00-7:30 pm. By 9:45 the mover said he couldn't possibly make it over by 10:00 pm which was too late for the woman I bought the couch from. Instead of rescheduling they said they didn't have a truck in my area (11 minutes from Madison) in the future so they wouldn't accommodate me. These guys were the BEST. They came on extremely short notice (I lucked out because their daytime move had finished a little early, and their next one didn't start 'til 5pm). I needed a few things moved that were just too heavy or cumbersome, and they did it quickly, efficiently, and professionally. Ben and Brady were fantastic! They were competitively priced, and after seeing the reviews on here I decided to go with them. They more than live up to their rating! I knew that it was going to be just me when they came, and they didn't make me feel at all uncomfortable being a single girl with two guys there to help her move. They came just when they said they would come, they were super professional, they moved all of my stuff out of my POD and into my apartment not damaging anything! My kid and I were needing a full bed foe her transition from dorm to apartment and there were very few options in town. We met Caleb and not only did he secure the mattress we had want e but he made the entire experience smooth (and affordable). I don't even know where to start when it comes to Caleb. He is really a great salesperson and so funny and kind. He went out of his way to help but also was in no way pushy. There is no doubt that I will buy future mattresses from him even if cheaper are available. The temperature on the cartoon thermometer outside your kitchen window has already popped the needle off the gauge, and it's only 9 AM. The stars circle your head like you've been hit with a mallet. Still, you take a drag of the stagnant mist. The truck will be here in an hour. It's moving day. Terrific experience with Madison Smooth Moves. I was moving furniture and boxes for a one-bedroom apartment. They gave me the most affordable quote out of several movers in the Madison area. They were reliable, courteous, and thorough in moving everything on time with no damage, during the busiest moving time of the year in August. Everything was carefully wrapped in plastic and blankets. The move took fewer hours than I was quoted, but despite the small job they took the utmost care in my move. They made sure to wear masks whenever they were inside. They were excellent in every aspect and I would not hesitate to use them for future moves and recommend them to others. we are a middle aged couple moving our kids to Madison into family student housing with a UHaul. after loading it we were exhausted and not up to the unload. clearly not up to a uHaul move so I called Madison smooth move at the last minute to see if they could help us the next day. they understood our situation that the kids didn't have a lot of stuff even though they were moving into a 2 bedroom apartment. Brady quoted me very reasonably price and a time frame to meet us. much less than $500 to $800 other companies quoted. the team of Kyle and another guy called when they were on their way with an ETA l,were on time ,efficient ,friendly couldn't be more pleased and relieved. definitely would use them again read more

These guys are absolutely fantastic. They got finished with another move early. Called me to ask if it was okay if they came an hour earlier than planned. Which was great . Showed up and were so nice. They immediately started loading the truck and finished very quickly. I am in limbo apartment wise so they took my stuff to a storage. I messed up and got to small of one. Found a second storage they drove there finished unloading everything and rang me up. Pricing was great and I'll be using them again in about two weeks. I had no idea they were such a new business, they are efficient and very professional. I contacted multiple companies and it was so difficult and expensive trying to do it with such short notice. But Ben helped me set everything up and he helped move all my stuff. He is the king of using a dolly. Brady also helped him and was a champion at wrapping all my stuff that could get damaged.
