I needed a 16ft POD unloaded. Joseph was responsive and sent a team that did a great job on our small load. Their cost for 2 movers was competitive; 2 hour minimum and gas surcharge was lower than competitors- they gave us the best price as well as great service. read more

I had a small regional residential move where I hired Morningstar Movers. Joseph and I did a FaceTime walk through of my home where we went over the contents for his estimate. We also went over the mileage predictions. On moving day, Joseph and Matt showed up with their truck and they busted their asses loading. I had everything pre-staged ready to go in about 40 boxes and they padded wrapped my furniture. They were done in just over an hour. Moving into my new place...just over an hour. Again, my old place although a 2300 sq/ft house had minimalist contents. The great news is Joseph's prediction on time and mileage was spot on and I had no damage to my possessions. Nothing but praise for these hard working guys! Thanks!! read more

Fabulous service, great price the movers were so professional. Will definitely use again

I called and spoke with Joe who was the only company who came out to do a walkthrough of the apartment we needed to move. He gave me a very realistic and reasonable estimate of our move. Dame, Taye, and Matt were the team that came out on the day of our move. Great team of guys! They were fast and efficient when it came to moving everything to the truck. They were so good they even packed a trash bag They took special care of a special item and it went perfectly. read more

Joe at Morningstar Moves took a bit of an odd job for me. I put in a Yelp project request but needed a playset moved from my neighbor's yard, to mine. He was very fast and responsive. We did a quick phone call so I could give him the specifics of my project and he gave me a general estimate. He confirmed wanting to do a quick FaceTime video, as he wanted to see if there was cement involved in the playset structure base and its installation into the ground, as that would have caused some considerable extra labor and hardships. Thankfully all was well and I got the easier version of the quote. On the scheduled day he texted when he was enroute, arrived and had a quick consultation with me so he understood where I wanted it placed and my spray paint markings for the spot and off he and his other team member were to get the tools and the equipment. They quickly disassembled the slide and swing arm extension and then, as a team with a dolly, helped relocate the 300-something lbs base and reassembled everything back into place. He was responsive, a good communicator, a fast worker and provided additional guidelines and recommendations on the final items we would need to handle for the playset. Joe is a pleasure to work with and I would definitely use his services again and wouldn't hesitate to have him move an entire house worth of stuff for me as well! read more

Listen... When it comes to moving, Joe & Morningstar Movers are the GOAT! I needed move out of a storage unit with a second stop for the remainder of my belongings from a residence into an apartment. On first contact Joe explained what the hourly rate was, what they provided during the move, and ask to schedule a walk through of the storage facility so he could provide an accurate quote. Joe is a master communicator! ~ He was in regular contact with me via text and phone during the planning process. ~During the walk through he explained any special care that would be taken for particular items. He provided a quote based on distance from the storage unit and the truck and the apartment where I was moving. Any circumstances that would affect the quote were made clear. ~ During the move Joe would point out any items that were worn, damaged, or missing obvious parts before taking control of them and loading them on the truck. I was updated throughout the move as to the timing and how it related to the quote. Tetris King! ~ The packing of my belongings on the truck was expertly done like some Tetris savant all while insuring everything was safe and secure. ~ Items of value and importance were cared for during staging between the storage unit, elevator, and being placed on the truck with the same care used when being moved into my apartment. ~ Joe and his employee (I unfortunately forgot his name) hustled their butts off throughout the move even when it was realized I severely underestimated the distance between the elevator and my apartment by A LOT! ~ The team happily placed my belongings in the relevant rooms and even helped getting heavy items into place. The value in hiring Morningstar Movers is in the unexpected and attention to detail is the ultimate sign to good service. Joe doesn't miss even the smallest nuts and bolts! I mean that literally. Due to poor packing on my part and unbeknownst to me a few nuts and bolts to my desk came loose and went missing. I was made aware of this the next day after the move was complete when the truck was being cleaned out and they were found. Joe took the time to collect them and asked if they were mine. He also went out of his way to return them to me that same day. I've moved a lot in my life and this was the best experience in every way thanks to Joe and Morningstar Movers. 10 out of 10 would use again and you should too!! :) read more

Joe was very prompt throughout the whole process. We needed a relatively simple move (Pod to Pod move), and Joe quoted us a very fare rate, and reasonable expectation of time needed for the move. They showed up on time, which nowadays is a phenomenal thing lol. They finished in half the time quoted, and packaged/moved everything in a very efficient and professional manner. Exceptional and professional--don't hesitate to use Morningstar's services for your move. read more

Damien and Tay were lightning fast, and such a pleasure to work with. Morningstar Movers knocks it out of the park again.

Great communication throughout. Arranged a walkthrough prior to move to evaluate large items. No damage to wood trim or glass. Fair pricing. Highly recommendable. read more

I recently had the opportunity to work with Morningstar movers; they helped me move a one bedroom apartment. These guys are great! They're friendly but don't waste your time, which is appreciated because time is money! They charge $130 per hour with some travel fees. They basically use uhaul and their brute strength to move you! We were supposed to start at 9, but they couldn't get to me until 10am; they were communicative about their whereabouts and did not leave me hanging. They texted the night before to confirm we were still on. They even helped me move a bed to the dumpster AND fixed my living room coffee table without being asked. They treated my stuff with respect and everything was done in a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend! read more

I spoke with a representative and booked the day of my move. Mind you I was told I was booked the date I requested. We booked a WALK THROUGH less than a week before my move. I was texted not called inquiring are we still scheduled for the walk through but unfortunately the day we agreed that I booked was now full and they could not move me. Stating it's a first come 1st serve thing? What ever that means. I booked the day so that should have made me 1st served. I don't recommend this company, very unprofessional and their response to me stating that I was booked was very rude also. read more

I reached out and Joe was able to squeeze my move in to his schedule. Had an awesome day with the move he and Matt were very professional in how everything was handled and packed into the truck. Prices were more then reasonable for how hard they worked. So I bought them lunch and gave them extra because they deserved it and so much more. I have peace of mind knowing that the move was handled so quickly and so well. If you want the stress of moving taken off your plate, I would hire this company. I won't be hiring anyone else after being spoiled by Joe and Matt. read more

My move was done with ease. They guys were very professional and fun at the same time. They got the job done within the time we had previously agreed on. I'd definitely recommend! Thank you guys so much. read more

Joey and Nate were incredible in helping us stuff our 2bd/2ba apartment into a 16ft long PODS container. Joey was responsive in addressing all my questions and concerns and he and Nate did not disappoint on the day of the move. They were fast and efficient, and they were both very careful with our items. I am extremely happy that I went with Morningstar Movers and not another moving company. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to move in the Greater Milwaukee area! read more

Terrible service. Owner doesn't know how to communicate effectively. Moving out of a place means not leaving anything behind. It sounds like common sense but that's not the case. read more

Very professional and efficient. Fairly priced and easy to work with. Communication was easy. Our items were wrapped well and transported with care. Highly recommended. read more

I highly recommend this moving company! It is definitely the most bang for your buck. Joey, the owner, has been doing this for over 30 years and that was clear with our experience. Joey and his crew were as dependable as they were professional and affordable. They actually finished the move faster than anticipated so it was less than the original quote. I got multiple quotes and this company was way less than the more "well-known" companies. They were cautious with all of my belongings as they loaded everything precisely and covered all of my fragile belongings with care. Joey was great with communication from the beginning to the end. He even went the extra mile to help me choose the right size storage unit based on the items I was moving. I will be hiring him for any help I need in the future! read more

My wife and I needed to hire moving help because she's pregnant and i just had a surgery. After countless phone calls and quotes from other businesses that shall not be named I contacted Morningstar. From the jump, Joseph was professional, responsive, respectful and thorough with how they were going to approach our job. The quote was set and we actually wound up paying that exact price (who would've thought, right?!). Moving day came and Joseph and Nate were on time and ready to rock, they made quick work of our large items. They even helped us dismantle a pullout sleeper bed then put it pack together. They were kind, personable and we had a good time with them. Remember, this is hard work - be nice and provide hydration for your movers. Overall 10/10 would recommend and we're definitely going to use them in the future! read more

Joey was fantastic! Got everything done in the quoted amount of time and price with a smile on his face. I highly recommen!

Never answered the phone and had to leave a voicemail. When he did call back was told they were open for the 18th. I had to figure some things out to make sure we could do that. Called twice again, voicemail. They finally called back and tell us they are booked. Cannot get back to people in timely manner. Maybe you should hire a receptionist to handle this for you. read more

I put a call out for help on Monday morning because the movers I hired to move my furniture from Miami Beach to Kenosha were unable to complete the job because it was only the driver that showed up and obviously he could not move this sofa up four flights of steps by himself. He managed to get it inside of the Underground garage and he left it in my parking spot. Joe got back to my ASAP call for help and said he could get it done on Wednesday. Joe and Sam arrived on time and were finished within an hour! I really appreciate a job well done and I highly recommend this moving company and will use them again and refer them to anyone that asks me about a reputable moving company. Thank you very much again for a job well done. read more

Amazing! They came to move on the hottest day in august. I thought they would've canceled but they didn't! Very genuine guys. Joe was also super upfront about the cost and process. I wished I remembered to ask them to plastic wrap more of furniture tho (dresser/end tables). They were super easy going, and they would've totally done so if I asked them to. I appreciate their service. read more

I would recommend these movers to anyone who is moving!! They worked their butts off , did more then asked, I wasn't the best prepared for this move, and they could not be more helpful and understanding!! They were kind, fun and never complained once!! If you need a move call them you would not be disappointed. If I ever more again they are my go to. I was a mess and they moved me and not one complaint!! The best!! Cindy read more

The Morningstar Movers team - Joseph, Jake and Marissa - were amazing! We hired them to pack our POD for an interstate move....such a great decision and choice! Joseph's communication prior to our pack day was great, including a virtual walk thru the day before to confirm the details, what needed to be done, our inventory, and finally, his quote (great price BTW). The team arrived on-site 10 minutes early and got to work. Jake and Marissa were hustling every second and handling our stuff in a very professional manner. They completed the job exactly as quoted and were able to get everything in the POD......they are masters of Tetris!!! I could not recommend them more. read more

They did an amazing job for a fair price. They consistently went above and beyond what was needed with a positive attitude while being considerate of our things the whole way through. Absolutely would recommend. Joey and Dante were extremely professional, very friendly, went above and beyond and had excellent communication through the whole process. Our interaction was FABULOUS. Would recommend these guys 10 times over. Got ahold of them at 4pm on a Friday and they were here within 45 minutes after we got scammed by another moving company. They really helped us in a pinch in the 9th hour with a client move out who otherwise would have been facing eviction. Though there was only one guy, he was able to move all the necessary items in a storm and bring them to the new apartment. He was professional, honest and a hard worker. Brought all the necessary accessories for moving fragile pieces and rugs to ensure the new carpet wouldn't be damaged. read more

I recently had to move my dad from one apartment to another (including getting rid of many things in order to downsize), and had only 4 days to complete everything since I was flying in from out of town. Working with Joseph was smooth from start to finish. He was extremely responsive to my initial contact through Yelp, very clear and no-nonsense in how they handle the move, and even gave me a great suggestion on how to get rid of some things at lower cost than a junk removal service would quote me. Most importantly, on the day of the move, he showed up on time, took care with my dad's stuff, and the job was over and done more swiftly than even I had expected. I had my fingers-crossed that nothing would go wrong with this move since I didn't have time for any shenanigans from a moving company, and Joseph came through for me with flying colors. read more

DON'T DO IT Desperate for an affordable mover, I tried this place out after being given a very reasonable quote. Twice I was told he would stop by to verify the amount of things I had to be moved. He never showed up. I ended up sending a few videos of each level of my house including the garage and basement. He confirmed the original price I was given. On moving day, he and another man showed up in a Uhaul that was far too small resulting in them having to make multiple trips. He then added nearly another thousand dollars to the total he'd given in the first place saying he didn't realize how much I had to move. He would have known had he showed up when he said he would! He lied to me and claimed he never got parts of the video even though he had confirmed receipt via text. Other than pay the man, what was I going to do? He had half of my belongings! He told me he could make a third trip but it would cost me almost another thousand so we ended up having to move a significant amount of our things by ourselves. What was the point in hiring help if this is how it ended up? At the new home, our beds were left taken apart, our recliner in 2 pieces, mattress and clothes in the garage... nothing was in the right room even though it was labeled correctly. I normally would not have expected this but I was promised things would be in the right place and assembled before they were done. All this to say, it was an expensive rip off from a conman who had me in a chokehold and knew it. I would rather pull my belongings in a wagon than to have this company darken my doorstep again. Edited to add: apparently when you leave an honest review, you also get threatening direct messages as a bonus. This is my first and only review of this company and Joseph must be getting his unhappy customers confused as evidenced by this reply. But thank you for accurately representing your business ethics in your response. Saves other people having to find out the hard way like I did. read more

Excellent movers! Did not waste any time getting my place packed up. I also had a bed that was not assembled correctly and they corrected when reassembling at my new residence. Above and beyond expectations. read more

Not professional at all. Gave me a set price and end up charging more for services that weren't even completed. All boxes were put in one spot even though boxes were labeled, had pieces break off of metal stand and set it up broke, wood chipped from dresser. Gave instructions but didn't care what was said. Definitely not worth the service when you can't stick with the initial price. read more
