I wish I saw this yelp reviews before I contacted Madison Realty. This is for the agent, Luis. He was nice and he showed this apartment. We liked it so he took us to his office in Forest Hills. The move in date was clearly stated on the listing. We signed the application and paid application fees of $500. Turned out something was wrong with the building, they had to remove the listings of the apartment from the market. He didn't explain the details. We lost 5 days because he didn't get back to us. Luis briones is a terrible agent who does not give accurate information as to what is actually needed for requirements for completing an application. Could've sworn that this business has reviews the last time I checked. Did yelp remove them? Did Madison realty? Maybe Madison just removed the business and then put it up again, erasing all the reviews. Last time I remember they had about 7 or 8, and only three of them may have been real reviews. Other reviewers said that madison realty was writing review for themselves to offset the 1 and 2 stars. I can basically sum up their reviews. A lot of people were upset that they out up money and didn't hear back or get their place for weeks. They said people were rude at Madison. I didn't have to wait weeks to get my place and nobody was rude to me. Everyone at Madison was nice. But the level of diligence and professionalism did not meet the brokers fee I had to pay. We were told all sorts of things would happen and they wouldn't be a problem (two year lease and the building allowing a certain dog). Low and behold things were denied by the management company of the building that they said they had a great rapport with and wouldn't be a problem. Carmen was not very diligent. She would forget the keys to the place we wanted to see once more before signing the lease. She said she assumed they hadn't changed the lock yet while they were renovating it so that the key she had would still work. Something you shouldn't assume, especially when I am taking time out of my day to come see this place and are possibly paying you. After the first incident i mentioned where we asked for a two year lease and a dog we were considering not going back to her at all. We'd rather give our money to someone else. But only certain management companies will work with certain realtors. The realty market is very quick and if we didn't act fast someone else could swoop in and take the apartment we wanted. We got our apartment, we didn't have to wait. The apartment is awesome. But their lack of diligence and their false promises aren't worth the broker fee. They are just lucky they had access to an apartment we loved. And if this review disappears somehow I'll find out and post another one and then report them to yelp. read more

I end up signing the lease for one of their listings, but I soon found out that the leasing company they hooked me up with is some of the most scheming scum bags on the planet and the broker at Madison Realty knew way before I signed that least how these guys ran their business. I had the pleasure of working with Luis Briones in finding my perfect studio apartment in Kew Gardens. Coming from out-of-state, Luis went above and beyond in ensuring that I got an apartment. From working on Sunday to rushing my application, he was not only effective in getting the job done but maintained communication and kept me in the loop throughout the entire ordeal. Not only that, Luis is very well-connected within the community. He helped me find a great place to buy furniture and put me in contact with an excellent handyman as well! I would also like to give a shout-out to Jason Nirmal Jaimangal, another broker with the company. Even though I was not working directly with him, he was also very helpful and attentive. FYI Madison Realty works only with cash and secured bank checks. That's the only reason I cannot give it five stars! But all in all, this place and these people are FANTASTIC! read more

DO NOT USE THIS REAL ESTATE COMPANY AS THEY ARE LIARS & DISHONEST!! We met with Jason to see about renting an apartment and informed him that we wanted to take it. After our agreement to meet Monday with what to bring and how much, I run out and get the certified checks. He then decides to call me and tell me the apartment will be more money. This is dishonest and a matter of GREED. Jason advertised online a specific price and called to confirm the renovations right in front of us, now 4 hours before meeting me he wants to up the price and say it's because of all the renovations in which he knew was taking place when he posted the listing online. He proceeds to tell me "I thought the management company would go for the price". This shows me how greedy and unprofessional Madison Realty is, not sure what Jason meant by "I thought they would go for the price" as this is ALWAYS confirmed prior to assigning a real estate agent. He was able to coordinate us to see the apt in 30 mins when he learned that me and my husband were available. The signing of the lease and the application all went very well and efficiently in about 10 days. Then we are in our new 1-bed apartment. I would never really comment on how good or bad a realty company had handled business but after my experience I think you would too. My wife and I met with Jason to see A two bedroom apartment in flushing queens. This apartment was under construction & he had said the apartment would get a new kitchen and bathroom, old carpets would be removed and floors would be sanded and re polished. Jason had called the management in front of us to verify the construction which I thought was good so we had all the information. We had an agreement on price and had gone through a big rundown of how many separate checks we needed to have twice, in person & text. What Jason had failed to inform us after purchasing all our certified checks and info in order was that the management has the right to raise the price after construction (doesn't make sense, how are we supposed to get certified checks -you need a specific amount). I feel like this is established BEFORE you advertise the apartment. Jason had been so adamant on making sure we really was interested and serious and was going to have the checks in order for the two days before meeting again only to disappoint us. The sad part of this story is this apartment was across the street from my ailing 85 year old mother in law who was so happy to find out we was moving so close to her. Jason also knows but I'm sure he's only concerned with the highest bidder. SHAME ON YOU MADISON REALTY!!! read more

Myself and my boyfriend worked with Jason on an apartment in queens. I meet with Jason after a long day of looking at apartments and Jason was patient and engaging. Since I was exhausted from looking at apartments, I wanted my boyfriend to have a look at the apartment to see if he saw potential. Jason was accommodating and waited for my boyfriend to take a look at the apartment later that evening. We ended up applying for the apartment. During the signing Jason met with us and warned us about the location of the management company. They are located in an ally (no exaggeration) and I was extremely hesitant. Jason stayed and assured us everything will be ok. Even checked up on us the day we went to pick up the keys. Why I gave Jason 5 stars is due to what happened a day in the apartment. My boyfriend was in the apartment by himself and got locked in (not out in) the apartment. The top lock twisted in such a way that the only way to get out is for someone to unlock it from outside. My boyfriend called the management company and they could not have anyone come until 8 hours later. This was a Monday morning and my boyfriend was heading to work. I was at work in the city and had no way of getting there myself. Jason was able to come and essentially rescue my boyfriend from the apartment. In future dealings with the management company of the apartment, their lack of response is the norm, so my boyfriend would have literally suck in an apartment with no food/internet/complete furniture for the whole day if Jason did not come. He made sure that I found an apartment that I like instead of trying to persuade me to accept any apartments he showed me. He was thorough to make sure everything is alright through out the application process. I was very impressed by his kind personality because of an incident happened while I was going to sign the lease for the first apartment that I decided on. What happened was that the landlord turned me and my roommate down the last minute because other people offer to pay more in rent. The landlord didn't give us a chance to match the price regardless he already promised to let us rent the apartment. When this type of things happened, it is predictable that broker might not do much and just move on. BUT, Jason was so nice that he was committed to help us to get a good apartment that we want. Not being from New York, the apartment searching process is quite harrowing here. It seems each realtor only has a few apartments under their profile to show a client, and its a laborious process having to go to many people. I saw Jason's number in the window of his office and called him. He told me about an apartment and I went to look at it and fell in love with it. It's a great building in a good area. I put in my application on a Friday, and by Monday morning got approved. It was such a relief to not have to search anymore. It was so seamless. He also helped me move in a few days early so I could have the weekend. He's very easy-going, will text/call you back within 1 day of you asking any questions, and overall a really nice person. If you are looking for a realtor, you should definitely consider Madison Realty.
