A hidden gem in NoVa! My husband and I ordered buffalo sandwich and the November sandwich, both were recommended by David, the owner. OMG!!! They were soooooo good!!!! Their onion rings were fried to perfection as well. David was so nice and friendly. He knew most, if not all, his customers by name and made sure everyone left happy! :) The deli is super clean and very modern looking! We will definitely be coming back. I really haven't written many reviews, but Madison Deli definitely deserves all the positive reviews its got! My coworkers and I ALWAYS get food from here. I don't think there's a sandwich that I've tried that isn't good. Service is friendly, nice, and fast. The restaurant itself is clean and cute. The food is priced well and it even tastes great! I recommend the Chicken Melt with hot sauce or the November. If you're a local, definitely give it a try. It's better than Panera and Subway by a landslide. read more

I'm a fan of this place. My husband and I got the Manhattan, Royal Steak and Cheese, and the bulgogi quesadillas this time. It was a lot of food and it was all delicious!!! They've been around for awhile and without fail they provide amazing subs and sandwiches and I LOVE their crinkle fries!!! Friendly staff esp the guys at the register. They renovated the place a year or so ago. It's clean and a great environment to come for lunch breaks! Highly recommend this place! read more

I come here for lunch 3 times a week usually. I always get the same thing and I always like it- Cobb salad with the apple vinegarette.. comes with a nice chicken fillet, and also comes with half a hard boiled egg, fresh avacado, crumbled bacon and feta. I have even gotten a few co-workers to try it, they also love it. David and his staff do a great job, and they got to know me very quickly. Now when I walk in I give them "The nod" and they know I want my usual, which they frequently starts making if there is a line waiting to order. I haven't yet left home early enough to stop in for breakfast but that is on my to do list. read more

It's seriously good. I work in the building, and head over here once or twice a week. David remembers my name, which always makes everything feel so personable. Our family comes here at least a couple times a month. The food is good and fresh - the bulgogi sub is awesome. The owner is friendly - he knows everyone and takes care of you on a personal level. The first time I was there, I couldn't catch the cup he threw at me, so he knows to never throw me a cup - he just hands it to me. I've seen him remember customers - not just their faces. He talks to them, remembers conversations, and really goes out of his way to make it feel like he cares. I've even seen him rush out of the restaurant to help a customer change a flat tire. I have never understood why there appears to be such a love for this place around McClean. As a friend of one of those Madison deli-lovers, I have been to this place several times, and have drawn the conclusion that it is just a normal old sandwich shop with nothing in particular to distinguish it. I just don't get it. When I want a sandwich in this area I head right over to that Subway with the crappy parking lot. I don't know, I just don't see the appeal as Subway is cheaper and the food is the same. This is a definite "skip it" for me. read more

Not good, not bad. I tried this place out as I was looking for an inexpensive sandwich place that had something different on their menu. I tried the turkey avocado club. Wasn't terrific, but it wasn't bad. They put egg slices on it which made it taste kind of odd. Prices are reasonable though and the veggies were fresh at least. read more

This will be my new lunch spot. I found this spot while looking for another deli on Beverly Rd..I couldn't find the other deli so I just stopped here (it is beside a cake place (Fluffy Thoughts)). The line was long so I thought it might be okay...It was SOO good... they have a vegetarian sandwich and the line moved quickly...so that means the place earned points with me from the start!! I've been a regular here for a while now and was compelled to write a review because of some of the new changes the owner David made. They just introduced the Bulgoki sub (Asian marinated steak bbq meat with provolone and lettuce) and it is simple amazing. Not overpowering, flavorful and delish (forgot to take a pic) Who knew!! David has made some awesome changes to this place. It's cleaner, fresher and I appreciate that the prices are still low. Much better option than the other lunch options around. My first time around for a quick lunch on my way back from DC. I noticed the deli in the corner of my eye and decided to drop by for a visit. Previous reviews mentioned a renovated interior and upgrades...what I found was clean and efficient. The counter service and staff were friendly and engaging. I ordered the royal steak and cheese combo...it comes with a drink and crinkle fries. I found a place to sit and within a few minutes my order was ready to go. The sub was cooked to order served hot and with care. I am giving this review 4 stars on my first impression. I will make it a point to come by again when in the neighborhood. read more
