Took it to Toyota last week for a routine service and told them we heard a funny noise coming from the car as we were driving. After examing the car, they had a diagnosis: we needed four new tires (approx $950) and a COMPLETE replacement of the ENTIRE exhaust system, as a pipe was somehow bent and impairing something else. That added up to another $2,300. We asked around, and from the high recommendations we received for Hammonasset Service Station, we took it there. Rich looked at the car right away. He said it needed TWO tires, not four, and could not find ANYTHING WRONG with the exhaust system! Thank you and hello to Hammonasset Service Station. Goodbye, Westbrook Toyota.

Ended up joining AAA and paying for same day service which was less than a third of what M&S was going to charge me. Avoid the hassle, just call AAA.

David Lindgren of D & S Auto Repair is a LIFE SAVER! We would give SIX stars if possible!…read more We were traveling from Massachusetts to Delaware when a trailer tire blew out on the freeway. While our tire was disintegrating as we were traveling in the breakdown lane, we pulled off at the next exit. Since we had to travel with only the exposed rim for about 2 miles we thought we might have to check into a hotel for the night to fix the problem. Then (cue heavenly music!) we spotted D & S Auto Repair. When David heard about our problem and saw that, in fact the rim was destroyed, he volunteered that he had a trailer tire already mounted on the rim that he would sell us and mount for $100! This is one of the most gracious acts of kindness we have experienced and years of touring. We hope that anyone in New England in need of mechanical services in the Guilford, CT area will call DNS auto repair! Thank you David!

They have worked on two cars on mine....you would never know that anything had ever happened!! I was completely satisfied both times and have sent MANY people here since. Their prices are very fair too. They are absolutely fantastic. I can NOT think of one negative thing to say. **FRIENDLY ADVICE** If you have a fender bender in the Town of Madison and need your car TOWED call your insurance company or AAA as soon as humanly possible (before the police are on the scene) or your car could end up on some disgusting tow truck (due to the "towing lottery" they have in Madison) that will take your vehicle to who knows where (aka as their disgusting shop), AND will want CASH. No, they will not bill your insurance company. I called my insurance company for a tow, and refused to let the guy who showed up take my car as he refused to take my car to Hammonasset Collision which was les than three miles away.
