I appreciated that she explained everything clearly without overselling or burying me in unnecessary paperwork. Since this was a completely new A/C install with no prior system in the house, I had a lot of questions regarding the system itself, part numbers, maintenance requirements, and long-term considerations. She answered everything clearly and concisely. The install team showed up within a week, and honestly I probably could have scheduled even earlier. When I say "team," that's almost an understatement. Gary, Eli, Clark, Tristan, and Ervin showed up ready to work and got right to it after answering a few final questions. I work from home, and anytime I checked in to see how things were going, they immediately asked if I had any concerns or anything else I wanted to go over. Every member of the crew was respectful, professional, and genuinely easy to talk to. Even when I asked about unrelated things they noticed in the attic, they took the time to explain what they were seeing and what I should keep an eye on. He diagnosed that the blower needed to be replaced. (I am a certified aero engineer, so am familiar with ignition and burner systems) When questioned about the continuously activating ignitor, he indicated that the continuously running ignitor was "normal." When I sowed him online that the continuously activating ignitor was not normal and could be dangerous, he didn't 52 minutes researching Google on his cell phone and did not change his diagnosis or estimate fir cleaning the fan and replacing the blower that was working fir an additional $240 over the warranty's initial service fee. I called highly recommended Air Systems Solutions in Ventura, CA who arranged for a technician visit the next day. He was very courteous and did a very thorough job and replaced the ignition panel. Also added a new water heater and, my favorite addition will be the split installed in a back room add on with a cathedral ceiling that's difficult to heat/cool on its own. Each installation came with its own specialist, and each team was amazing. They took such good care in ensuring the carpets were covered, and their cleanup was fantastic - including one of the guys who walked the driveway and area in front for nails that may have been dropped!! I had to look for a place that services my Brand of water heater, is reputable, and available! They were able to come out SAME DAY and kept me informed throughout the day of changes in eta. There was a pretty big change in eta but that worked out for me because I was just leaving work to meet their technician. The technician (Roberto Ramirez) was kind and patient and explained what COULD be wrong and what was ACTUALLY wrong. He told me what to look for in the future and possibly how to prevent it from happening again. He told me how to maintain it going forward and some other tips and tricks that might help extend the life of my water heater. Additionally, he contacted the warranty company and worked with them to get the needed part today at zero cost to me which you would think might annoy a company or technician but he didn't seem bothered at all. From the start, he seemed reluctant and had limited availability. His first comment--"Do you know what your house is worth?"--felt unprofessional and odd. Over 3 visits, I was charged $100 (reset), $400 (igniter replacement), and $1,200 (electrical panel). I was not shown replaced parts, given estimates beforehand, or provided invoices unless I repeatedly asked--and some were never provided. Total: $1,700.
