I come for the daily specials. Always good. Fresh ingredients. Good chips and salsa bar.

Food is not good. No flavor and honestly almost nauseating. They need to go. Waste of a lunch

Pretty good Mexican food for the area! Grass valley has seen an influx of Mexican restaurants and Madi's stands out.

The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. Fort Rock beer on tap ,live music, fun place and I will be back.

I'll reserve judgment on the vegetarian entre options until we have tried more. First try was a bit bland even with ordering extra hot peppers. The vegetarian taco is a nice option, but it really tastes like a tofu scramble in a tortilla. In other words, it is great that there is a vegetarian taco option. It is unfortunate that it feels like an afterthought.

Well, this place delivered nothing short of an excellent experience! They were pretty busy, so we sat the bar. The service was great, fast and nothing short of amazing! Got to sample their beverage menu and have one of my favorite eggs Benedict dishes... hot off the grill, mouthwatering and delicious. The setting and atmosphere was pretty chill and relaxed, with some friendly neighbors around. I will be back to this place again and look forward to expanding my knowledge of their menu, as there was multiple things I wanted to try. Go check it out today, if you haven't been. This place is happening for sure!!!

We were very hungry by the time we sat down due to the long, wait, but it was well worth it. However, that are hunger. I forgot to take very good food pictures. The kitchen and historic charm of the decor hides a quite spacious restaurant that is decorated with historic furnishings, and adorable crayon pictures colored by local children. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. I tried the potato pancakes, which are hashbrowns mixed with cheese and garlic and onions on top with pesto sauce and eggs, and I must say that they were a delightful surprise, crispy and savory and worth every bite. My friends ordered the tofu breakfast burrito at Cuevo rancheros along with the bacon and egg breakfast at all said they were. We chose to share a three person mimosa, which includes a bottle of champagne and juice of your choice to accompany, and it was just perfect for our group. Our survey Anna was very busy, but made sure to check on us after serving the food and made sure that the food was served our liking and responded to every request we had. I would definitely plan on waiting in line on the weekends. They have a self-service waiting list and they will call you - inside or outside- when your table is ready. We waited a full 45 minutes on a Sunday around 11:00 am. Worth the wait, though!

I'm submitting a review today because I always enjoy their food, service, and ambience, always delightful, special, and the experience is both home cooked and international, but also super personable (if you frequent) and very casual and fun! I simply today want to note how amazing the very certain, peaking flavors that are still tingling on my lungs, of the basil, chili chemistry, and Lao curry magjick I just experienced last Friday I cannot get off my mind, and body, today of the 4th day past! I admittedly am having an absolute sense of remorse; I am traveling to the Bay Area this upcoming weekend and will miss this Friday dinner at my FAVORITE Lao/Eastern Family Food Restaurant in the world. (I have been to Laos n Thailand, each their own, and Panoy and their family at the restaurant, deliver one of the most authentic Eastern experiences of community, food, and fun in getting to know a very slender, sliver of the magjick that lives in Gold Country California in 2026.) If you have yet to eat (and frequent, perhaps) Panoy, go directly in return or for your first time, and experience the fresh, rejuvenating invigorating palate Panoy brings to their community and extended family they share their business with. I'll be bringing my extended Bay Area friends and family there, as they visit me, home. Springing your way there w/your beloveds would be a great way to share a sense of specialty, reserve, and you'll be remembered for the great hosting in extending your family's taste, to Panoy's exquisite offerings and dishes, of the best nuance of Lao orient. Do..NOT PASS....; go!!

And the food here is whatever, surely NOT authentic Lao food. Lao Sausage - A tiny sausage with papaya salad kind of sauce with onion and cabbage and STALE peanuts... Papaya salad - the inner part of the papaya cut into thick slices was used. Normally that part is not used in papaya salad. Lemon (not even lime) slices are thrown in. And again the STALE peanuts... Sticky rice - tiny portion of LUKEWARM broken sticky rice... Service was SO SO. The young lady who waited on all tables, only smiled when she handed me the receipt! Authentic Lao food? NOPE!
