What a disappointment! I ordered the chili relleno burrito and wanted chips but they ran out. Good thing caused i shared the half empty bowl my friend got and I dont know what they were. This small mexican food place is located in the Fowler Center in Grass Valley ( where B and C and Savmart is). I stopped in here because i had just had a pedicure next door (Bless Nails..my favorite). I have seen people coming in and out to pick up their food to go. It appears they get ptetty busy during lunch time. I wasnt very hungry but wanted to get their carne asada taco ( childrens size) to go. Although the meat flavor was good but they do not offer any conplimentary salsa!! I was a bit shocked because most places in Nevada County offer at least 1 salsa. They were going to charge me 25 cents for a tiny little container so i passed on that. The location offers many employees in this complex to grab a bite to eat. There is limited seating inside. The cook in the back was very friendly and cheerful to everyone walking into this place to order. I think if they offered complimentary chips and salsa then they could be mote competitive . Overall its a great place to get fast mexican food. I wont visit again because there are so many options in Nevada County that offer so much more with your meal. read more

Cesar's is a great place to go for a quick lunch. Cesar welcomes all his guest with gusto. The food is very Rico and served very fast as this is street food even though it is a little restaurant and not on the Street! It OK though as his inspiration is Street food from all over Mexico. The prices are very reasonable but of course by US standards not like in Mexico! I had the Garbage Burrito which has everything in it. So Delicious! Mi esposa had Tres Tacos (Burria and Pollo Asado). I would make love to that quesadilla con asada. It was so good!! Reasonably priced, held up well in the fridge, and absolutely delicious. I've also heard very good things about the garbage burrito. I got the quesadilla con asada and my friend got a vegetarian quesadilla (they subbed rice and beans for meat), we each got a side of rice and beans, and their strawberry drink. All of it was amazing. Quesadilla was bigger and better than the one at el favorito and Maya's, and cost less! The people were so kind and friendly and the service was quick. This isn't a place to sit and eat, but a takeout place-- perfect for grabbing food to bring home or to the river or somewhere. I will absolutely be returning. read more

Good prices. Brand new spot. Owner is very friendly. Tacos only $1.75 each. Yet to taste but sure smells good.

Owner is friendly, staff is nice. Ate there twice in 7 days. The beef tacos had a lot of gristle ( chewy cartilage) in them so that took away from the experience. Second time I ate there I had a chicken burrito which had a lot of gristle in it also. Also bland ($10). I'll try it again but I'll stick with pork. Hope I won't be disappointed again because I love Mexican street food. read more

His Tacos are still the best in town and now they include the little salsas with your order they just keep raising prices. I fully understand most segments of our life have gone up in price, but food in the last year hasn't, overall food prices have dropped. His prices started out at $2.50 I believe. Now they are $3.50 per regular tacos. They are darn good but maybe give a break if someone's ordering 3-5 for a meal. I'll be curious if this hurts or helps his business. I didn't see as many people in his establishment, since the recent price hikes at lunch. Now if he used grass fed beef, organic chicken and pork I would understand these prices or even a tad higher. read more

The steak was bland, burrito lacking flavor so we drenched in their house salsa which was good , the nachos were served with cheap nacho cheese. We left disappointed. Quick, tasty tacos. Probably the quickest lunch in town. Their tacos are a little small but pack a lot of flavor. And their attention to detail is bar none. If you get 3 tacos, you get 3 jalapeños and 3 limes. If you get 5 tacos... 5 jalapeños, 5 limes. It's incredible! Lately they started offering gorditas. They're great and super filling. I have a big appetite and 3 was too many. I usually get carnitas tacos, but I haven't been let down by anything else on the menu. And you can't leave without getting an agua fresca. It's a different flavor every day. Sometimes, watermelon, green apple, etc. and it usually always seems to have a base of lime or maybe it's mint. But whatever it is, it's refreshing. I just wish they had smaller cup sizes available, cause it's a lot of drink. But it's always a unique, fruity, thirst quenching flavor. And can't leave out the folks who work there. They're all very nice and helpful. They even used to have the pronunciation of birria on the menu so you didn't sound dumb ordering it. It has an open kitchen, and the people back there quickly whipping up your lunch, are just as friendly as the person taking your order. And the perfect watermelon basil aqua fresca? Definitely. Counter staff was incredibly friendly, food was delivered quickly, and everything was as delicious as it sounds. Good food, a little over salted. Would eat here again but was charged 75 cents credit card fee for buying $4 worth of tacos..that'sjust shy of 20% charge...total rip-off. Taking credit cards and paying the fee that cards charge has always been a cost of doing business. Businesses that now pass that fee on to customers is a total scam. If you don't want to pay the fees associated with running a business then let your customers know you are too cheap to do so. Passing these fees on to customers and on top of that not telling them you are doing so until after the transaction is complete is just plain dishonest. I refuse to patron such Businesses and I urge all others to boycott this policy that seems to be turning into the new normal. There's 12 other mexican restaurants in the Grass Valley area I can go that are more honest and run their businesses with more integrity. So long Ceasars...I won't be back. read more

Before I write the negative part of my experience I want to start off by saying the owner of this place is very respectful and kind. He will try and resolve any problems that you have so dont be afraid to give him a Call! -My experience with Cesars Quick Lunch is not great! I never thought i would try there new location after getting food poisoning from there food truck back in 2017. But my Husband convinced me to give it a go! My husband proseeded to get the food while i wait in the car. he orders a Garbage Burrito and a Carne Asada Burrito with Queso. the lady up front proseeds to say they dont have Queso (which we thought was weird hence they have nachos). we get home and my husband starts to eat his burrito and HATES IT! Me thinking this man will literally eat anything I knew something was wrong. I give a call to the owner and shared our concerns, and he kindly remade our meals for free. Plus there was Queso so he added it with no extra charge. The reason I gave 2 stars is beacause the meals were still non-edible but didnt want to complain again. Yes! If you're thinking about eating here, stop thinking and start eating! So delicious and decently priced! I stopped in for some agua fresca and tried a chicken torta. Everything tasted so great that I went back the next day and tried the chicken quesadilla - I'm hooked!
