I typically choose dry red wines, but I went for a white wine with hints of pear, the Juliet, and a red wine. The red was my least favorite! I was surprised that I liked the other two as much. It was really fun to be able to sample the wines, and for such a good deal. Our group pulled two tables together and played some card games. We would have stayed longer if they also served food, but stayed for a while anyway. The people who visited ranged from parents with babies to people on dates. First of all yes, that label art drew me in as I love cryptozoology but I also liked the fact that this was a Hibiscus flavored mead which was a flavor I don't recall in coming across from the handful of meadery experiences that I have had. It didn't let me down in the namesake department either as the Hibiscus flavor was in full effect. Very flavorful with that and a good honey aspect at work made me purchase a bottle of this mead to enjoy at home as well.

The service was good and the girl helping us was friendly. They offer 4 or 5 samples for free or you can get 10 for a small fee. I felt like the wines were more on the sweeter side overall, but they were enjoyable and it was a nice break from driving/sightseeing. There's plenty of seating with areas in front and back when you walk in. There are two fireplaces in the front seating areas with TVs. It was early in the day so no fires, but they did have football on which I'm sure the men appreciated! My favorite were the white cranberry & the pink moscato...I took 2 bottles home, one for a friend and another for myself! There's really not much to do around La Crosse and Onalaska so if you're near the area and enjoy some beer and wine, bookmark this place! It's worth making a little pit stop.
