A very knowledgeable person who explained the wines we had chosen. He asked us to find seats outside and he would bring them out to us. It was a very beautiful day outside so we were able to enjoy the weather and scenery. You can sit outside on the patio overlooking the vineyard or even sit in the vineyard. You order your wine selection in the gift shop that also offers small plates. They have many different wine varieties and Andy who worked there gave us a detailed description of each one. Unfortunately he was also a sale person wanting you to spend money which was a turnoff. We each elected to do a tasting of 3 different wines - all reds .Unfortunately the beautiful setting was better than any of the wines we tasted. We walked away disappointed as we really wanted to buy a bottle to support a local business but we just didn't care for any of the 6 we tried. If you are in the area and want to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Galena Territory,give them a try and maybe you will find a wine that you will like.

Grounds are groomed bare minimum and there are no inviting accents (e.g. flowers or ornaments) offering any appeal. Camping grade watercolors for water dispenser, simple diner style silver wear and plastic dishes. A salad that does not deserve its name. Minimal staff. I had a glas of Eclipse which tasted delightful, similar to grocery store wine at this price. Do yourself a favor and skip this one for now! There are much better wineries available in Iowa. It appears ownership is trying to safe everywhere! Noteworthy: It's 3/4 mile gravel to the property. To no fault of their own, the gnats & bees were out swarming outside, so seating outside diverted us inside. But when we moved to inside we got to enjoy a larger bundle of unruly kids in a small room.

We normally get alot on our pizza: sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion and green pepper and it's thin crust. You can also call in your order and pick it up, it takes about 15-20 minutes depending on how busy they are. They have sandwiches too, haven't tried them yet, but there's a turkey and dressing sandwich that sounds amazing. It's located right next to Hindu's on the corner.
