Chill spot to have a cocktail while in the Galena area. The couches are so comfy that I could have taken a nap! Restroom was clean and well stocked. Plenty of parking right out front.

Fun store and tasting is buy by the half ounce or a tasting of 3 whiskies plus a tour of the distillery for $40 per person. Free parking and nice ambiance and the most comfy sink yourself in the leather and enjoy the store. There's a store with T-shirts and all kinds of bourbon or whiskey items, including cups and whiskey glass cups plus the cutest mini baby whiskey flask glen cairn glass.

Located in Galena ..not the downtown, but on the outskirts. When you enter you are in the store, and adjacent to is the bar with lots of cozy seating , bar and games. There is also some historical pieces on display. There were several cocktail options to chose from. My husband had an old fashioned and I tried a lemonade cocktail. The brewery is owned by two brothers and have been distilling for several years. They do offer tours and definitely would be interested in attending a tour next time in Galena.

Blaum Brothers is a great distillery in Galena. It is not directly in the heart of downtown Galena and is on highway 20. The space has a cocktail bar and a shop to take various liquors to go. The cocktail bar is very nice inside and includes various seating options- stools, couches & tables. They have games to play which is always fun. The cocktail I ordered was absolutely delicious. The bartender working was very nice and friendly as well. I always like to stop when I'm in the Galena area!

Really cool and unique place to stop on your way in or out of crowded downtown Galena. Friends recommended Blaum to us and the parking lot wasn't too packed yet in between lunch and dinner so we stopped here after a local hike and let our dogs rest on the cool pavement. The old fashioned I had was smooth, sweet, potent and complete with a large round iced cube. My hubby tried the Boo Radley and watching our bar tender heat up the lemon was entertaining on its own! It gave the drink a smoky citrus twist and unique flavor. Clean restrooms inside and nice merch you can buy, in addition to individual bottles to take home. If you have the time, and are over 21 of course, Blaum is definitely worth a stop.

Emily was the bartender she did a fantastic job! The drinks are amazing!! Highly recommend. We don't go to Galena without coming here! Very cozy environment.

Chocolate martini. One of the best I have ever had.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! We stopped in randomly on our way out of Galena during the holiday week around 4 PM. This place was happening! A super cool vibe (clubby leather couches), friendly service, and most importantly INCREDIBLE drinks. The chocolate martini was so tasty. Not sure where else you can get a $12 martini this good. The show stopper though was the smoky bourbon. My daughter ordered it (a $2 minor up-charge) thinking it would just be a smoky flavor (which she loves) but gosh! What a surprise. The show put on was unbelievable as the bourbon was mixed, ice ball added then placed in a glass dome to heat and flavor it. I'm sure the servers/bartenders don't love having to deal with this drink but you'd never know it. They genuinely seemed excited to serve the bourbon. We will stop here every time we go to Galena. Don't miss this distillery. You'll love it. Promise.

Went here today with friends to take the tour and enjoy the drinks. First time here. Enjoyed the tour. Informative and fun. Wesley (our tour guide) was excellent. We sat in the lounge afterwards for about an hour. Loved the drinks. Happy!

Once upon a time there were these two brothers, Mike and Matt. One has long, flowing hair like Fabio and an awesome beard. The other has no hair. Both make fantastic whiskey. I've watched this duo go from sourcing whiskey to distilling incredibly delicious whiskeys and the neat thing is, it is older, even better, and pretty darned affordable. Aside from making whiskey you'd want to drink (and vodka, gin, and rum), these two are a pair of characters. Check out the back labels - you will always be surprised by something witty. The tasting room is just top notch with leather, comfy chairs, a first-class bar that rivals most of what you'd come across, and talented bartenders. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. While I've never been on an "official" tour, I've seen the entire operation. Trust me when I tell you that Blaum Bros does it right. Visit. Drink. Laugh. Enjoy. Cheers!

They have a great view of Galena from upstairs while you're enjoying their cocktails and/or food. I love the consistency and all the fun drinks to try while you're hanging out. They definitely have drinks made by people you aren't going to find elsewhere. And when you want another one, it's going to taste the same. This is huge, and I'm not sure people appreciate the amount of credit it deserves. We sampled the pork belly and the duck fries, and they were both quite excellent; we would have tried more, but we didn't bring our appetites with us. The food came out faster than I expected and it was delicious. It's rich, packed with flavor, and goes great with the drinks they serve! This is a great venue to bring friends and family to enjoy the ambiance. The Blaum Bros Public House is a place where you want to sit back and relax; enjoy your time here, and be sure to tour the place to appreciate the decor. We always plan on spending a bit of time here since it's a great place to relax. Why stay at your hotel while you're staying in Galena when you've got places like this to hang out!?

Looking at other postings, it appears that they change cocktails regularly which is fun. I tried one of their vodka cocktails and it was tasty. Cocktails are priced between $10-$14. At time of review they had a dill pickle vodka (surprisingly tasty!, good for bloody marys) and a horseradish vodka (not a fan) Service was super friendly. They also have some non-alcoholic options. Hello! Let me tell you the story of how our mother-daughter haunted tour date almost got ruined…read more My grandma bought my mom, my aunt, and me tickets for Amelia's Galena Ghost Tours at 6 p.m. There was nothing anywhere saying we needed to arrive early. We got there right at 6, parking directly behind the DeSoto house where the website said we would be meeting -- but there was no bus in sight. We started running around trying to find it, even went to their store, only to find the door locked and no one around. About 20 minutes later, my mom called to explain that we had arrived on time but no one was there. The lady on the phone said they had waited 20 minutes for us, looked for us, and then left. But if she had really been waiting, we would have seen her -- and definitely would have seen the bus! When my mom asked if we could move to the 7 p.m. tour instead, the lady said no because she "can't just give up the empty seats," and she wasn't very kind about it either. Eventually, she texted us later saying we could join the 7:30 p.m. tour for free. We decided to wait at a nearby restaurant and have a drink before the tour. We left around 7:12 to find the bus, got on, and they departed at 7:20. (10 minutes early) Our tour guide, Emily, was great -- she was super sweet and friendly. The driver (maybe the boss?) didn't seem as welcoming; she never spoke to us once and only talked during the investigation at the haunted house they own.

If I had been more proactive, I would have avoided spending time and money on this tour. My family of 6 was over $200... definitely not worth the money. After the tour, I sat down to write/read the reviews. Each negative review repeatedly said the same thing, so I decided not to repeat what has already been said. Apparently, these negative reviews have not made any difference because nothing has changed. I guess I just don't understand how a company can be satisfied knowing so many customers are dissatisfied.
