I like that this site has a decent sized men's section but the availability of sizing isn't always great here. Also the sale section is smaller now than it used to be so they could make way for men's clothes. I prefer the Lenox location but if I am shopping for men's I'd go here over PCM. Staff is either very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable or completely the opposite. Madewell is my favorite store, and where I buy quality pieces once or twice a year. They usually have great deals on the sale racks! The Perimeter store is always clean and has a great selection, and I wanted to write about my wonderful experience today, specifically with Kelly. Madewell is J Crew in the 2000's before they got away from their roots. I hope Madewell doesn't make the same mistake... (I remember when J Crew use to have Japanese made women's suits that were cut with such precision and all their shoes were Made in Italy....they had beautiful crisp white shirts that rival Savile Row...then they decided they wanted to be popular and decided to go cut corners...that's why I haven't bought a J Crew piece in years...why buy crap for $56 when I can go to Target and get the same sweater but pay $24. ) When I looked up the company's history to see if its a stock worth investing I was surprised to see that they were owned by J Crew... The company is doing better than J Crew in sales even though it only has 88 stores compare to J Crew's over 230+ stores. I think one of the reason it's doing so well is the way the clothing is made and how they are cut. Their fabric has quality and the cut for their jeans shows they actually pay attention to how women's bodies are shaped as oppose to a stick mannequin. The company focuses only on women's clothing and has a great denim line... I would describe their style as hip, and artsy but not too boho to the point that you have to carry around a copy of Allen Ginsberg's poetry... They have super cute jewelry that's is sophisticated and trendy but not cheapy... The prices I think isn't too high but they're aren't cheap like Zara but I think you get what you pay for...their pieces are the ones you can wear season after season and toss in the washer without having to worry too much...plus they have great sweaters that won't make you look like you borrowed it from your granny... read more

I ran in a few minutes before closing only to be told by an employee that they were closed as she escorted us out. ( two other women were still shopping). I stepped out with my daughter upset by this employee's behavior towards myself and my daughter. I called inside and asked for their corporate number and was put on hold by the same rude employee. I hung up and was about to walk away when Ashley another employee of Madewell came out, greeted us and asked if we needed help. I explained that I just wanted a t-shirt I had seen online. She not only let me pick the t-shirt, she also gave me a discount and was super nice and sincere. Ashley is an asset to that store. Almost two months ago my now fiancé and I drove from Chattanooga to Atlanta for her to use a Zara gift card she received for her birthday. After spending time in Zara at the Perimeter Mall we decided to stop in to the Madewell next door. Neither of us had been there before, but she had heard great things about their denim. Though it is a small space, the store is expertly arranged, with a strong balance between displays, floor space and dressing rooms. The denim that my fiancé tried on fit fantastically, which is rare for her when jean shopping. I am writing this review because of Liz. I made a Yelp account because of Liz. Rarely have I experienced the level of customer service that Liz offered us while we shopped at Madewell. She was not overbearing or abrasive, but instead allowed us to leisurely look around when we first got there. As my fiancé began to try on different jeans, Liz came over to help, offering verbal encouragement and providing a wealth of practical, applicable information about the different items we were considering. After almost 10 minutes helping us, we let Liz know that we were just there to look, try on and get a feel for the products, and that we didn't plan on buying anything in the store that day. This information did not change the way that Liz continued to serve us, though, as she helped with 5 or 6 more items before we left. Liz was personable, encouraging and calm while serving us that day. As someone who is typically self-focused and cynical in a retail environment, I was blessed by the way that Liz cared for us at Madewell. The caliber of her customer service, as well as the quality of their products, provided a brilliant introduction to the Madewell brand. read more

I really like Madewell and love their student discount even more. I have gotten several pieces here, including a pair of skinny mint jeans. The fit is awesome and the style goes very in-line with my own. I usually shop the sale section (money-conscious consumption!) which, like all other discounted racks, can be a hit or miss. But when you hit, it's usually a great deal. read more

OMG my new favorite store for JEANS! This location recently opened in Perimeter Mall and it's AWESOME. I was not familiar with the Madewell brand before this store opened, but now I'm hooked for life! The store is well stocked, and the employees all seem to be pretty familiar with the brand and products and are SUPER helpful with advice about fit and length and color. Madewell has great clothes and the store looks beautiful, however, my review is with the staff at the Perimeter location. If it were not for Elizabeth, who works at the dressing rooms, I would have put my clothes down and walked out. Elizabeth was very kind and informative and made me feel as though she cared that I received the best service. Unfortunately Liz's positivity could not outweigh the pretentiousness of my cashier Leah, who was not only short with me but condescending. She really should not be someone that Madewell associates with unless they want to be known for snobbery and rude customer service. Follow up: I called the manager and told her my problem and she was more than helpful. I'm glad that I called because I found out that Leah is not from their store and was just filling in. I'm so glad because I really like that location and the resident staff is superior. read more
