She took the time to explain the cysts in detail and offered different types of treatment. I didn't really want to go the slice & dice route so she wrote an rx for medication that might help dry them out (fingers crossed). She was extremely patient and attentive and didn't rush through the appointment. Her assistant was equally kind and informative. The entire staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The office is modern with state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of products. The waiting area is comfortable with quality seating and a Keurig and bottled water. Overall, I absolutely recommend this practice.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of medical literacy at the front desk…read more I called this office to schedule an appointment and the receptionist provided information for a Physician Assistant (PA). When asked about the role of a PA, the receptionist had absolutely no idea what a physician assistant even was, she instead rudely repeated the job title over and over without providing any clarification. As a patient, it is deeply concerning that the frontline staff at a medical facility do not understand basic medical roles or the qualifications of the healthcare providers working in their own field. It makes me question the professionalism and training of the entire administrative team. If the staff lacks this fundamental knowledge, I do not feel comfortable trusting them with my scheduling or medical care. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The entire WD team has been nothing but upfront with me about all bills and expenses, and the staff is truly incredible. I cannot sing their praises enough. From the consultant to reception to the nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon, Dr. Chike-Obi, everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with has made me feel like I am in the very best of hands. Dr. Chike-Obi's team has also been extremely communicative. They have responded quickly to all of my emails, called in prescriptions I've requested same day, and one of the nurses, Nicole, even gave me her direct number so that I can conveniently call or text with any questions/concerns. I don't want to say I've been needy or high maintenance ... it is my body and a permanent procedure, so I should feel empowered to ask any and all questions that I have. But I certainly have reached out a lot, and I've been really pleased with the care and attention I've received. Most importantly, I am certain that the WD team is totally and completely dedicated to their clients' health and safety. I went in for my procedure, and when the team realized that I had a family history of malignant hyperthermia, they immediately reassessed and rescheduled my procedure to a date and time when every possible precaution could be taken on my behalf. Rob, my anesthesiologist, was so empathetic -- he answered all my questions and assured me that the new course of action would prevent any adverse reactions to the anesthesia and even make my recovery a bit easier. I've not yet had my surgery, but thanks to the WD team, I'll be going into it with very little worry. I feel confident that my procedure and the recovery process will be as pleasant as all my other interactions have been thus far. If you're looking for bargains or quick-turn procedures, this isn't your place. But personally, dermatological care and cosmetic work are not things I'd ever want a bargain on, nor would I ever want my care to be rushed. This is a top-notch practice. Very lucky that they're here in Austin!

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!!! They let my child's stepmother bring her in as a new patient without…read moreANY parent consent!! They did not ask stepmom what her relationship to the child was at check in OR when they took my insurance card with my name on it. Most doctors offices know that they can face major legal and professional liability for treating a minor without valid parental or guardian consent. When I got access to the portal after the fact, there was no familiy history filled in and whatever medical history and current medications were listed were either incomplete or incorrect! They even RXed medication given this lack of complete medical history knowledge! My daughter's patient portal only had stepmom's name, cell, and address?!?!!?!? Not even my daughter's dad's name listed! WOW! On top of all this, just to put a cherry on the top... they of course recommended my daugther's regiment be inclusive to all of their med spa product line!!! Simply said, a 12 year old who has normal hormonal acne (not even that bad?!?!), does NOT need to be using the same cleanser, with tons of active ingredients, that her mother does as a 52 year old!!! PERIOD!!! Shame on WLD!! If a practice is this hap hazard on such basic HIPPA and patient care guidlines with regard to seeing minors wihtout parent consent, are you really going to get your cosmetic surgery done here?!?!?
