Filet Mignon

Such a lovely birthday dinner here over the weekend. Seriously everything we ordered was delicious! We loved everything. Our service was great. The restaurant is decided into a lower and upper dining room. The lower dining room is for if you plan to order off the main menu. The upstairs dining room is if you plan to do the "Korean bbq" where you cook on a gas wok directly at your table! So fun! We opted for the upstairs dining room (make a reservation) for my birthday celebration. You are still able to order things off the main menu as well even if you plan to do the Korean bbq option. We tried their duck skewer and wings as an appetizer. Both were delicious! The duck was tender and savory. The wings were spicy and super unique! For dinner we did the Korean bbq where we cooked THE BEST wagyu filet mignon and fresh scallops on our personal table wok! This is such a fun date night. They give you a bunch of veggies and traditional Japanese sides to pair your meats with, including an array of homemade sauces - however, the meat/seafood was so good on its own we didn't even want to tamper the meat with the sauces! Cocktails were tasty too! You really can't go wrong with this place. Oh! And did I mention they gave me a delicious dessert for my birthday and sang happy birthday to me (:

I came here on a whim. I loved it so much I'm going back in a few days with an empty stomach so I can enjoy even more from this great Korean spot. I started with the mom's egg rolls (pork, mushrooms, carrots, noodles, chili lime sausage, and taro). They were crisp and delish. I hope this doesn't make a fool of me, but the ingredients tasted truly fresh, including the veggies. The carrots even had a little crunch to them! I had the bibimbap, made with marinated steak, egg, rice, gochujang sauce, pickled veggies, topped with a runny egg. A hot, savory, sexy dish that I am going to try again when I return. I had their fries too, which were hot and crispy and so well seasoned. They also have grilled meat skewers, Korean BBQ (brisket, short rib, NY strip, filet mignon, wagyu, etc), seafood (catch of the day, trout, scallops, lobster). They also have a great cocktail program. I had the toreador (don Julio tequila, apricot, fresh lime), blood orange martini (absolut peach, blood orange, cranberry, citrus), and the sazerac. All of the drinks were well made and worth the price and then some (13-18 dollars). Can't wait to try some more! They also have a Korean inspired section with cocktails that feature jasmine infused soju, barley, pear, coconut, lemongrass, ginger. Olivia was my server and she did a great job.

Madame Bang Shrimp (8)

The restaurant is beautiful and located close to Riverstreet. Due to limited street parking, we arrived via uber. Reservations are highly suggested. The restaurant offers multiple dining experiences. We chose the main level and indulged in a few appetizers and drinks. The Caesar salad, fries, and bang bang shrimp were delicious. The drinks were okay but the customer service was a 10/10. Great location for a birthday dinner as they gave me complimentary bubbles and a shareable dessert!

Great Korean BBQ spot! We dined here on a Friday night & made a reservation. We were surprised how empty the restaurant was, but the weather was bad so we blamed it on that. We started with the madame bang shrimp, which was fantastic! My husband ordered the beef noodles & I got the bibimbap. Both were great! The meat on the bibimbap was marinated & so tender. My husband said his was really good & had a slight sweetness to it. We definitely want to come back & try the grill at your own table. Overall, great spot in city market. Service was good & restaurant was really cute & clean.

Start with the positives -- service was fantastic, our waitress was super helpful in explaining the menu/ordering and food came quickly. The building is super cute and the elevator between floors is very ADA compliant. I ordered off the steakhouse side (Filet Mignon & Brussel Sprouts) and both were pretty tasty but definitely soaked in butter/oil, to the point where I was sick to my stomach all night. If you typically eat clean, I would steer clear of the veggies and just do the steak. My friends did the Korean BBQ, they said the meats were great but the seasoning was odd for a Korean BBQ place (my friend is Korean) and the "house favorite" sauce tasted like ketchup. They gave it a 6.5/10 as compared to other places they've been in DC & Atlanta. Overall, would come back but would stick to the basics. The flavors for the steakhouse side of the menu were wonderful, just definitely not a healthy option.

Busan board-Korean BBQ: Pork Belly and Bulgogis 부산 보드-한국식 바비큐: 삼겹살과 불고기

Went in on a whim by myself and had a great experience. I ordered the Busan Korean BBQ and really enjoyed it. The sides that came with it were excellent, especially the kimchi, which was genuinely delicious. The cheese and corn appetizer was a standout, and the salad was a perfect portion. Even dining solo, the staff made it feel welcoming. Super friendly, attentive, and kind without being overbearing. I'd absolutely recommend it, whether you're going alone, meeting friends, or planning a date night.

Pork belly skewer

Enjoyed a pleasant meal at the bar while being served by a bartender named Adam on his last night there. Pork belly skewer was likely the highlight of the dinner. Wasn't overcrowded and food came out tasty enough and on-time.

Sampler for Two with chicken skewers minus skewer, won tons, fried shrimp, and egg rolls. The yellow dipping sauce is it peanut based sauce.

Fantastic service. Nice ambiance. And in the late afternoon, the outdoor seating was nice with shade and a lovely breeze. If you've been to Savannah, you know it can get quite hot and humid.. Tried the Sampler for Two and the Lamb Street skewers. Ordered the lamb medium rare and would definitely go for rare next time. Medium rare was a touch overdone. Overall the food flavors were great and the service excellent.

Decided to go here on a date night and it worked out pretty well. Atmosphere is lively but also good for a date night. Ordered the wings for an appetizer. They were definitely a five in terms of taste. I also ordered the sea bass which was a good size portion and pretty good. Bar and wait staff were attentive. Overall I would recommend you check them out.

This is an excellent Asian influenced restaurant we dined at for dinner at the end of February 2025 on a Friday evening. First, make reservations. We attended our B&B wine hour by Forsyth Park and walked the several, beautiful blocks to Madame Butterfly. The feel of the restaurant is modern, while maintaining some pleasant antebellum Savannah feel. We were seated after a not unreasonable wait; thirty minutes, or so, as expected. We were seated at shared bench seating, which I generally loathe but were on the end, thankfully, and a comfortable distance from the not-loud party next to us. We tried a couple of appetizers which were very good; the Crab Rangoon Croquettes served with a spicy cabbage coleslaw, yumyum sauce and lemon. Also, the Calamari which was undoubtedly fresh caught and cooked perfectly. One person loved the Bibimbap (tender Korean influenced marinated steak, egg, rice, gochujang sauce and pickled vegetables). Another person loved the Grilled Salmon bowl and I loved the Steak stir fry. Everything was cooked perfectly and spiced very nicely! Lastly, our server was excellent; fully knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. The food was excellent, appropriate portions and decor very nice!

Spicy Seafood Soup

Hey Ya'll, Are you looking for a tasty delight for dinner tonight? Are you going to Savannah GA? Do you crave eating Seafood, Chicken, Steak or Vegan meals? Do you prefer an eclectic ambiance that has a keen fashion sense, a laid back atmosphere with a 100% out of 100% health score? Then we highly recommend you visit Madame Butterfly in Savannah GA because it is "OH, S O O GOOD!" Their Spicy Seafood Soup to start was just exhilarating as it tantalises your taste buds! Don't like it spicy? Ask Brandon, our outstanding Server (who was Personable, Experienced, Respectful, Friendly, Efficient, Considerate, and Timely, or PERFECT) to have their Chef dial it up or down between 1 and 5. As it is served at about a 3.7 on the Official Southern Spicy Scale from the menu. Please don't tell the Federal Government about our "Hicks from the Sticks" spicy scale, or they will add a new Department in Washington DC to regulate that too. Their Roasted Chicken with seasoned vegetables was delectable, very moist, with a pristine savory chili garlic glaze and poke sauce which I enjoyed to the very last bite! Their Trout with Crabmeat seasonal vegetables, turmeric lemon basil sauce was very suttely tasty as well, according to my beautiful and breathtaking enchantress with whom I had the pleasure of dining. Their Martini's were, I understand exquisitely crafted by their Mixologist as my enchantress had two. I enjoyed my glass of French Cotes-Du-Rhone wine very much with dinner. That's right, red wine with chicken. I..., I did it, and it felt good to be a Wild Thing as it made my heart sing! So if you want to feel fantastic because you and your date had an exceptional dining experience? Then saddle up Trigger, back the Combine out of the barn, or fill up your favorite four wheeler of choice with some of that Moonshine you been drinkin, and drive to Madame Butterfly at 110 W Congress Street in Savannah, GA. I am leaving you their telephone number (912) 999-8539 because the word is out, and this restaurant is on fire so you will need to make a reservation. The really bad news is this Family owns eleven more restaurants in Savannah GA as well, thanks Brandon! So next on our selection list is The Little Duck Dinner. Enjoy

2 orders of the Meat Lovers platter and some banchan
Claire R.

We came here for our Anniversary and solely to try their Korean bbq. We booked a Korean bbq table and ordered the meat lovers feast which came with 4 banchan. Our server Amber was nice and attentive given she had a couple of big tables. She was super friendly. Please keep in mind that I'm reviewing only for the Korean bbq experience and nothing else. Everything else was good and would come back here again and try other things in the menu. Where it went downhill for me was when I asked if the kbbq came with rice and she said no. It's $4. She agreed that it should've came with rice. But $4 for a rice that didn't even fill a cup is outrageous. We've been to so many kbbq place and every single one of them came with rice. Second thing that threw us off was the meat seasoning or lack thereof. The meat that we ordered was just plain meat with no kind of seasoning or marinade. Granted dry seasoning in a little sauce cup came with the meat but the meat itself is not seasoned. It came with 3 sauces to dip your steaks in, one was the typical sesame oil with salt and black pepper, a typical lao sauce with fish sauce and some type of gochugang sauce for the third one. The meat once cooked even after seasoning it with the seasonings provided did not make the meat taste any better. Nothing in this experience made me think I was eating kbbq. Pretty disappointing. Would I come back here again? Probably not unless they season their meat a little better and give the rice for free. Also the banchans were ok. I don't think it's made by a real Korean that's all I'm gonna say about that. As long as you're not expecting a full kbbq or part kbbq experience then you can try out this place. They had other things on their menu.

Meat lovers feast
Jason W.

This place is disrespectful to what Korean kbbq should be about. Not only is it over priced, but the quality is trash. My grill was dirty, the one they replaced it with was dirty, and no scissors to cut my meat. The sauces they provide are not Korean at all except the sesame oil/ salt and pepper combo. Ambiance and decor is great but the quality of the food is disappointing. Also, safety concern, their elevator hasn't been inspected in 4 years. I would not come here if you're looking for a Korean bbq experience.

Verenice was the BEST! Give that girl a raise or a promotion! She was doing it all! From taking orders, bringing food out, and cleaning up tables! She helped us navigate the menu/ordering. She also brought out our food to the table and was so helpful during our first time here. There were lots of ramen options to choose from. You choose your broth and meat option and that tells you your price. You can add extra toppings for additional costs. Runs about less than $20 a person. They have fountain drink options as well as other Asian drinks. They have rice bowl options as well as meat on a stick. They don't have kids meal options but it's about $8 for noodles and broth. Which is a good option for kids. I ordered shoyu broth for my son. I didn't realize it would taste so salty. I understand it's a soy sauce broth. But most ramen broths I've had isn't to that degree. I asked if they could add hot water to the hot water to make it less salty. Verenice again was so helpful, she brought the ramen back out and said if I needed more water added to just ask. I will say I did not appreciate the additional comments from some of the kitchen staff. The place is decorated with lots of anime characters. They have a vending machine with goodies. A claw machine with stuffed animals and lots of Pokémon cards for sale.

I will preface this with telling you, I have high expectations of any Korean food I eat. I grew up on home cooked Korean food and I love it. I know when I find the real thing and when I find the cheap knock offs. I will say when I walked in and called out a annyeonghaseyo and the server looked at me confused, I almost turned tail. I'm glad I stuck it out though. Food--9.5/10. To start, the drink selection is very limited. They do offer some Korean drinks but very limited on them and any other beverage. That's the only detriment I had to this meal. The mandu was fantastic crisp on the outside juicy and flavorful inside. Just the perfect yaki mandu. The dolsot bibimbap was top notch. It came out blazing hot and sizzling and given I have hearing issues that even I could hear a bit of the sizzle tells you it was really sizzling. So when you dig down into the bottom, there's that gorgeous crispy rice at the base of the dish. It came out with four perfect banchan. The kimchi was delightful and well fermented. The potato is always one of my favorite and I adored it. The oi kimchi was so crunchy and tangy and the little shredded cabbage with what tasted like a gochujang mayo was simple but delightful and had me wanting more. If I had one complaint aside from the limited beverages is that I like my bibimbap sauce to be a bit more tangy and a larger amount. Regardless, I'll be paying them a visit again very soon because there are so many amazing authentic Korean dishes on their menu that I can't wait to try. I only wish I lived closer. Service--8/10. The young lady who was serving was very attentive. That being said my only thing lacking is it was only her and as several more people arrived, she was less able to attend to the customers. She was very nice, polite and served as quick as she could, but as I said more people came in as my meal progressed, and I would've liked to have been able to ask for a little more bibimbap sauce. Ambiance--8/10. The exterior of the building leaves a lot to be desired. It's a very small strip of shops with very limited parking. However, where the exterior is lacking the interior is pleasant, clean and inviting. All in all, I would be back over and over again if I lived in the area and if you're in Savannah and you like Asian food and you have not tried this, you are missing out.

While that might've been fun, that definitely wasn't what I was prepared for. It was much better! West broad bandshell is a very interesting concept, blending soul food and Asian cuisine to create an eclectic butt very engaging menu. We took some family visiting Savannah to West broad bandshell Friday night and had a great time! First, this is a decent sized restaurant with about 8 to 10 tables and because we had a large group of eight people they were able to seat us together towards the front of the restaurant right in front of the stage. Now one thing to note. For groups of six or more they do not split checks and there is an automatic 20% gratuity. In the day and age where date night includes multiple couples hanging out together, I'm always a bit disappointed to see this lack of flexibility. Especially knowing that most digital POS systems are not that difficult to use when splitting a check, but we were able to accommodate that particular wrinkle. Our table started off with cornbread, which is complementary and very tasty. Baked more like a poundcake loaf, it was really tasty with hints of cinnamon and brown sugar. From an entrée standpoint, the menu is really diverse. I ended up ordering the Asian slaw burger, which I know that isn't the name but that's the best way I could describe it. My lady ordered the Korean fried chicken and both entrées were huge but flavorful. We ended up taking so many to go boxes home after this visit. One of the highlights of the night was the live music. What seemingly started off as a single solo Artist performance ended up being a full band performance with a saxophonist, a guy playing a trombone, an excellent keyboard player, and the host doubled as both the drummer and the guitarist. Several people from the audience actually joined them on stage to do various renditions of neo soul, R&B, and popular urban pop. They also took request from the audience in addition to playing original songs so if you are a music lover this is definitely a set you want to check out. I would rate West broad band shell as a five star date night restaurant, but likely not the best fit for large families and group groups.

I learned this early on when we first moved to the area, because priorities, People! I need to know where I can get my Korean goods! - Parking - Center lot. Located in a strip mall, the parking is limited and a little tight in front of the store, but hey, I'm not complaining. It's free parking. - Vibe - It's a tiny store. I mean, like 2 aisles tiny. So, if you can't handle small spaces, be warned. However, the owner has made good use of every inch of real estate in there, but organized. Reminds me of the way small biz owners set up their small spaces in markets in Korea. No wasting any space here. Think of it as Aldi in terms of product selection as compared to a Kroger. Smaller, easier to navigate and I can get all my basics. - TLC - I always see the same Ajjumma (Ma'am in Korean). She is the owner, I'm sure. She's always really sweet, gives service with a smile and when my kids are with me, she always gives them a little complimentary Rice Cracker snack packet. They clearly love her, LOL! - Goods - The prices are lower at AM between the two Korean grocery stores, even though it's the smaller store. Those two aisles are stocked with the basics and I can get everything I need to cook my Korean meals, from Gochujang (Hot Red Pepper Paste) to Japchae noods (sweet potato starch noods). I find some of my childhood treats too like Choco-Pie, Go-So-Mi Crackers (a must try if you don't know what these are!) and Banana Oo-You (Milk) which are super expensive, but I think it's just the price of importing them. My husband wasn't really too happy that I bought 6 juice box sizes of Banana Milk for $9, but hey, $9 is worth it for the walk down memory lane for a few minutes! On the second aisle, the freezer and fridges line the wall and I buy mostly all of my frozen and refrigerated items there, things I can't get online, like dumplings, oval rice cakes, both things I needed to make Ddukmanduguk (Dumpling Rice Cake soup) that Korean typically eat on Lunar New Year, which was the reason for my recent visit. The kimchi they sell is from Atlanta and it's pretty decent. For one of those big plastic containers (like when you get Pho broth packed to go, maybe a pint size?), it's about $8? Not bad considering Kimchi is a PITA to make. The good news is, every time I buy one, it's in the beginning stages which is the stage I really don't like, but it's an indication that it was made and delivered to the store recently. I got the Green Plum juice on my recent visit and I thought it was pretty tasty! I got this as an exchange for the Jeju Clementine juice I originally purchased because it had just expired. - Heads Up - Pro tip - if you see Hangul (Korean alphabet) on the store sign, it's most likely Korean owned, which probably means it's a Korean specific grocery store. I know some people were not too happy about the store name, but hey, there is Kimchi sold at big chain grocery stores and I wouldn't call it Kimchi. Know what I mean? If I plan ahead, I usually place my non-perishable order online with a well known Korean grocery store in the North East, but this is the place I go for all my last minute needs and all the perishable stuff. It won't have everything in 10 different flavors, but it should get you the basics! Note to self for future: Try the Jeju Clementine Juice and the Fish Waffle Red Bean Ice Cream Sandwich!
