Okay so apparently this place is a popular watering hole for the post-work crowd, but I wasn't a huge fan. Came for a quick drink on a Friday night and had no problem getting seated at a table. The drinks were mid. I got Show Boat which was mostly one note (cocchi americano), and I couldn't taste the ginger at all. Friend got the Main Street which was better than mine but nothing special. It didn't taste strongly of liquor but had great flavor. Also you can't go wrong with an Aperol Spritz; theirs was well done. The food was quite good too. There was a cheese board and a Pita & Dips platter at different tables in the room as part of the catering. Also different appetizers were offered by servers throughout the night; we especially liked the buffalo cauliflower, fried mozzarella balls, and smash sliders. Came here for Happy Hour. In the early hours it's not packed so you can definitely get a good seat the bar. But after 6 it starts getting packed. The Happy Hour is limited but the drinks are really good. Ended up getting a Margarita which was perfect. On the regular menu I got the Penicillin and it was just as good. For food I ordered the wings. The wings were grilled and spicy. They are probably made to order since it took some time for them to come out. The small portion was good for 2 people to share. I was watching the bartenders make other cocktails and they take their craft seriously. They have ample cocktails to choose from and a decent menu for food. I just don't like that food is not included in the Happy Hour menu. However, I look forward to coming here again to try their other cocktails, they sound and looked very good. I pass this location very often, at least 3 times a week but never had an opportunity to go. Excited to try this place for a local community event during happy hour! We were situated in the front area. I really enjoyed the aperol spritz ($10 up until 7pm), it was sweet but well balanced. I also had to try their Penicillin ($17), a favorite of mine, it was also very complex but well balanced, also on the sweeter side but still tart and refreshing. On a random Saturday evening, we ventured into Madam Mikettes around 10:30 pm. The bar was lightly packed, so we had a pick of where we wanted to sit. I don't usually go to bars, but this place was definitely my speed. There appeared to be so much character and thought put into the fine details of this establishment. Even the staff and bartenders had on matching vests, so neat! After taking a look around the venue, I saw the cute red booth that was perfectly positioned in the middle of the back room yet private from the rest of the restaurant. Super perfect for a date night spot. Since it was available, I asked the hostess if we could sit there, and she said it was good. We ordered the fish tacos to share and the side of fries. The Fish Tacos came in a set of 3. I would have preferred a set of four since I believe it was under the sharable section of the menu. Usually, even numbers are easier to share. The food was decent for a late night grub. As I took a look around at all, the knick knacks, signs, atwork, pictures, and antique vintage accents, I felt like I took a trip back in time to the 1920s era. I even noticed the border of the menu that gave old world vibes. Hands off to the team that put in the time to design the interior. This was my last stop on a cocktail tour in midtown. It's open til 4 AM, so great for ending a night. Dimly lit, spacious, classy. And I went after midnight on a Tuesday night, so not crowded. Bartenders were super nice and attentive and kept calling me "love," but not in a gross way. They do have a dinner and brunch menu with some good looking items (bbq spring rolls, steak frites, burgers, chicken sandwich for dinner, egg dishes and ricotta pancakes for brunch), but I didn't get any food. Drinks are sophisticated and nuanced. I had the Strange Interlude (rosemary infused illegal mezcal, Campari, grapefruit, lime, ginger) and Ask Me Another (tequila, suze, ancho verde, pineapple, lime, agave, spicy tincture). In my neighborhood, so glad I finally tried it for brunch. Beautiful interiors and cozy vibe with bunch of vintage collection displayed all around. They have live music on weekends as well. The brunch menu is slightly different from standard menu, which basically means it doesn't only include twenty nine variations of eggs. We got brunch burger, ricotta pancake and broccolini frittatas. Generous portion sizes and great taste. No complains at all. Our server was very attentive, kept checking on us and only got the check when asked for. A few friends and I found Madam Mikette's this week when our normal happy hour spot in midtown east was fully booked. We saw a sign outside that advertised great happy hour deals until 7pm and there were tables open so we popped in and were seated right away. The decor felt homey, and while . Within 30 minutes of us sitting down the restaurant was packed. Happy hour deals were great, and the margarita I got felt like a true margarita (not a cheaply made HH marg that other places offer). Others in my party got the negroni which was also delicious. I came here with my parents-in-law, my brother-in-law (BIL) and his boyfriend, and my husband. We went to the MoMA for an exhibit and afterwards, we went to Madam Mikette's. It was picked out by my BIL. It's a cute little rustic restaurant that pays tribute to a fortune teller. Most of us got either burgers or sandwiches and I think I got an egg dish. And my BIL got a salad like he always does. It's not that he gets salads all the time that annoys me...it's the fact that he can make all of these salads at home but he'd rather spend $20 on a f*cking salad. They don't really cook at home. But the food was good, the space is quaint and it's a good place to get brunch. The have a waffles and chicken dish that's sandwich that actually looks pretty good. So that's something to try for sure. They also make a ton of different cocktails, but this was brunch so I just got a mimosa. If your'e in the area, I recommend it. If you walk from the MoMA, it's a half hour walk. Don't let your family members tell you "oh it's only 10 min." That's a f**king lie. read more

I got the Show Boat drink - felt kinda strong but a sweet aftertaste to it with the egg whites. We also got the beignets and I thought they were really delicious!
