I've used them for about 2 years, on and off, and unfortunately, it's hard to find good special needs therapy organizations in Los Angeles. I have Anthem Blue Cross so I've used a couple other organizations but ALP tends to have better staff compared to others, but unfortunately, they tend not to stay for whatever reason, and we're stuck with another trainer, coach every 6-8 months. Although Dr. Gina Chang is listed as the president of ALP, she doesn't have any interaction with patients. Most interactions are with staff via phone or "trainers". The current one we have, Jennifer, has been great and I hope she stays with the company but she has been our 6th one in over 2 year period.

From the moment she started, we noticed a boost in her confidence and a new excitement for learning. The progress she's made--academically and emotionally--has been truly remarkable. A huge thank-you to Miss Sarah and Miss Natalie, who have both been incredibly patient, encouraging, and dedicated. They take the time to really understand her needs and tailor each session to help her grow. Their warm and supportive approach has made her feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of her accomplishments. I absolutely love Miss Sarah's "get to work" attitude and my daughter loves Miss Natiles fashion choices. The environment at Stowell is welcoming and uplifting, and our daughter always looks forward to her sessions. As parents, we appreciate the clear communication and the genuine care they show for her success. We are so grateful for the positive impact this center--and especially Miss Sarah and Miss Natalie--have had on her learning journey. We highly recommend Stowell Learning Center to any family looking for a caring and effective place for their child to thrive.

Once our LearningRx brain trainer Radwa began working with him you could see his confidence and focus levels increase! We were skeptical at first because his learning had been such a struggle. He was struggling reading even sight words in third grade and by the time he got to 4th grade we thought he might never be able to focus or read. They spent their time teaching him how to stay focused, phonemes and word parts, how to memorize and make connections, and believe in himself. His viewpoint changed from, "No, I can't." to an unbelievable, "Okay, I'll try that. It's hard but I'll try." His anxiety his gotten back under control and he's able to work when prompted. No zero star option available. Too bad…read more Funny to see Melissa Reiner advertising herself as a Newport Beach business. When my family had the misfortune of dealing with her she claimed to be in Irvine. Things change but that wouldn't be the only piece of outright false claim she made. (When we first spoke she commiserated over our situation and she claimed, as a "single parent" that she had a special understanding to offer my family. At our only appointment she wore a wedding ring and spoke often about struggles she and her husband had raising their family. Should have been more of a red flag.) We had a single session with my kids who have autism spectrum and emotional dis l-regulation diagnoses respectively. We met at their grandmother's home as a neutral ground as their mom and I are no longer together. An important detail is that their grandmother wrote Ms. Reiner a check and we set a follow up appointment at my home. In the weeks between the kids left town with their mom and I cancelled, by phone, the appointment. Ms. Reiner showed up anyway and then left without any appointment taking place. The short version is that a few weeks later Ms. Reiner sued my mom, not her client, for the cancelled appointment. She has refused all requests to provide any signed contract as a basis for her suit. She sent the sheriffs to mom's (79 and recovering from surgery) to serve her bogus suit. My opinion is that since she had mom's bank details she thought she'd be able to harass her through collections. She then sent a demand for over triple the cost of the cancelled appointment (claiming costs and "interest") and is now trying to get mom's bank to pay her. Dirty business in my opinion. She will never come near my children, or any of my family, ever again. As far as her actual service? If you need someone to come by and speak condescendingly to your kids, maybe Askmelissanow is for you. In my opinion, people who seek to take money, unearned, from families with special needs kids ought to be called out.

Instead of protecting students, certain staff members contributed to an environment where bullying and emotional abuse were ignored--or worse, encouraged. When issues were brought to the attention of teachers or administrators, they were often dismissed, minimized, or turned back on the student. Some staff spoke in demeaning, sarcastic, or intimidating ways, which made students feel unsafe and powerless. Rather than intervening, adults in authority sometimes sided with aggressors or treated students as if they were the problem for speaking up. The lack of accountability was extremely damaging. Policies against bullying seemed to exist only on paper, with little to no follow-through. Students were left feeling unheard, anxious, and afraid to attend school. A school should be a place of learning and growth, not fear. Until this institution takes real responsibility, provides proper training for staff, and genuinely listens to students, it fails to meet even the most basic standards of care and safety.

During my 3 day visit, I interacted with various students, staff, and faculty and was thoroughly impressed with how welcoming the campus was and how much everyone enjoyed being around each other. Students spoke so highly of the love and care they felt from their teachers and administrators. Faculty and staff spoke frequently about how much the team felt like a family. A few common themes among the parents I spoke with were how safe the campus was, the administration's approachability, and the absolute trust they placed in the teachers and their students. Mr. Aaron and his team have done a wonderful job creating a school environment where students can thrive, love like Jesus, and learn well, and I highly recommend this school!
