I've found the camp director, Azuree, very open and responsive to any concerns or questions I may have. She follows up and is always professional and approachable. My son had some trouble making friends the first two years (he still said he had fun!) and I let Azuree know before camp start this year. It has made all the difference! My son is even happier this summer than the last two - and that's saying a lot! I know that is due to the fact that the Azuree has invested in him and taken my concern seriously. My son also consistently reports that he loves his counselors. It's important to note that you see the same counselors year after year and that, to me, is a very good sign that this is a good place...because the counselors (and kids!) love coming back :) The Camp Fire LB website outlines their camp options very clearly. I wholeheartedly recommend the Backyard Bunch Adventure Camp option. Sign up and payments can be done online which is super convenient.

It was not particularly outstanding archery lessons, but both a male and female instructor were friendly and engaging with the girls. At the end, they even allowed the parents a go at the target. I must say that while the duo tried their best at accommodating the students, their equipment was a bit lacking. The draw weight in the bow I used was next to nada. My try-everything-at-least-a-hundred-times husband agreed. Still, while my hubby and I were a bit disappointed with the private instruction and the equipment, this Sunday afternoon (2/23/20) was a perfect day to try new things. Other Highlights: + restrooms on site + our troop was able to bring snacks and drinks + picnic area right next to archery area + plenty of free parking + clean, safe grounds As long as COVID-19 does not ruin summer camp, there should be plenty of activities and day camps geared toward "developing teamwork skills and strengthening camaraderie." I just want to start off by saying I really did my research on this camp before I signed up my son who is on the spectrum. I emailed the owners and they wrote me back quickly, thoughtfully, and were so accommodating! I have to say the owners are really what makes this camp special. They love kids. The counselors they hire LOVE kids. It is evident just being around them. They wanted to be there, they loved their jobs, and it showed. I was so amazed that on day one, every counselor knew my son's name at pick up. There was a huge amount of campers and a huge amount of supportive staff (which in of itself I bestow 5-stars) and I could not believe they could tell my kid apart in the crowd. I was so touched everyone seemed to like him and they were so positive and complimentary to him. It really built his confidence and independence. I signed him up mostly for the water play, but he loved everything! The trampoline being brought out at lunchtime was a favorite of his as was the slip N slide! Unfortunately, the competition team program fell far short of expectations, and our experience with management has been extremely disappointing. The team structure and organization did not provide adequate support or growth opportunities for students. When we brought these serious concerns to management, no viable solutions, adjustments, or alternatives were offered, leaving us with no choice but to withdraw our child. To make matters worse, the financial handling and communication were completely unacceptable. The owner Julie was unprofessional throughout this entire process. After we reached out via email to resolve the matter amicably--requesting a reasonable partial refund or account credit--our communication was completely ignored. As an educational organization, customer trust, clear communication, and student growth should be top priorities. Unfortunately, our experience demonstrated a distinct lack of organization and poor accountability. While their basic classes may be fine, I would strongly advise parents to exercise caution before committing to their competition team, paying upfront fees, or relying on verbal promises here.

I was surprised and asked what's that. So they introduced me to Rolling Robot. My boy becomes so motivated not only robotics but also school. He started to care about his grade because he is in the good environment that all kids are positive and think it's important to have a good grade. The director Bing is a truly educator that cares about kids. I cannot say how much I appreciate Rolling Robot. This weekend, my boy and his team are going to state competition after only 7 months of learning. So happy they get a chance to see other 198 teams and get the chance to learn more. Thank you!!!

We love that they have a variety of coding classes and clubs. They very generously let us try all the different options for free: coding basics, robotics, and AI. We decided to sign up for the middle tier so he can come twice a week, once for class and once for a club. There are various clubs like 3D printing, Minecraft, and Roblox. All of the teachers are knowledgeable and Kearne at the front is especially kind and ready to answer any question. They have a lot of positive reinforcement and it really is the best structure for my ADHD kiddo.
