Have to order and pay at the register upon arriving. Immediately asked for 'tip amount'. Other than bringing the food to the table, there was no other contact by the kids working there. This little gem is right up Ogden canyon in Eden!! We sat outside after ordering at the counter. The owner Mike was exceptional and the food was delicious!! We had the Eden Fresh, avocado, pesto and egg toast, the Skier's omelet, fresh onion, bell peppers and sausage served with fresh organic greens and the French toast - everything was homemade and exceptional. Homemade cookies came with all the meals!! We will definitely be back! We even got a cheese panini sandwich which is their signature item for later. read more

Friendly staff, great food selection and quant ambience make this a go to destination for your taste buds. The check out process was painless along with the very easy to read selection board hanging from the ceiling keeps the lines to a minimum. Menu selection was extensive and very reasonable priced. Mad Moose Cafe is one of the few places to eat in Eden so we were delighted when we were served delicious items from the lunch menu. The vegetables in the salad were fresh, the Greek salad dressing was tasty and the chicken and turkey were moist and well cooked. Sweet potato fries were crispy, plentiful and delicious. Our only disappointment was that breakfast/brunch, which we wanted, was not available when we arrived at 11:20 am. read more

Perfect pit stop on the way to Powder Mountain when there are road closures due to a snow storm. Cozy environment with seats for 30+ people inside, plus more seating outside. There's also free self serve popcorn from a movie theater type machine! We ordered black cup of Joe coffee, which was a generous pour with free refills. The coffee was hot, smooth and delicious, even without cream or sugar. We also had the roasted corn and poblano soup, which surprisingly came with a fresh baked cookie! The soup tasted like it could have been home made! Finally service was really good, fast and friendly, despite it getting busy at about half past noon on a holiday weekend. I had a too go order for breakfast and I have to say that I enjoyed it. I had the California breakfast sandwich which was egg,ham, avocado. I added onions and olives. It hit the spot. They have coffee and teas and ice cream. Sandwiches and hamburger. Just everything you would want. they do close at 6 but they said they will accommodate me if I called them. As a local, it's my "Go To" cafe for lunch and a Cup of Joe (usually an Americano). Super friendly & family operated business where I take my friends and family from out-of-town for lunch and a Lavazza Italian expresso coffee. You can't go wrong with any of the salads or sandwiches. My favorites are the Chinese Chicken Salad, the Chicken Salad Sandwich on Ciabatta bread, or the #16 BLT. Plus there's a Peanut Butter "No Bake" cookie as my favorite dessert to finish off my meal. Hoestly the BEST sandwich i have ever had!! My boyfriend and I are visiting from California, because he use to live here, and we stopped in for some lunch. Staff was super nice and helpful. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome. I ordered the "Veggie Lover". it is grilled veggies, with fresh avocado, on a baguette bread, spread with pesto sauce. served with potato chips on the side. absolutely delicious!!!! read more

This was our first visit. We came right before they started serving lunch. The food was very good but not the service. They didn't let us order lunch but they let the people behind us get lunch. My son ordered a Pepsi and rather than offering a substitute they decided we wanted Dr Pepper. Once you get your food nobody comes up to offer refills or to see if your food was OK. We had to keep getting up and asking for coffee refills. The coffee was delicious. When we asked what kind it was we were told it was black coffee We decided we will give it another shot perhaps for lunch because there are only four options for breakfast. Hopefully next time we will receive better customer service. read more

This was our first visit here. The menu is extensive, with a lot of yummy options. The customer service was very good, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our complaint is that it took forever to get the food, but when it got here it was fresh, hot and excellent. One of us had the turkey cranberry Panini and it was really good and very fresh tasting. The other menu choice was a French dip sandwich and it, too, was one of the best we've had. The fries were fresh and hot out of the fryer. We will come back and try again to see if the wait for the food is as long next time. In their defense, there was a big festival in town and they were overwhelmed with orders.
