Spicy Dasher Chicken Sandwich (5/5): The chicken was crunchy and well seasoned with a pretty classic hot sauce flavor. I also loved the caramelized onions and the buttered sourdough toast instead of a normal bun. Very spicy in a good way! Onion Rings (4/5): I could taste the batter a little too much, but they were well fried and crispy. *Get the Mouth Wooed Sour from Resident Culture (across the food hall) if they have it. It was both crisp and creamy with a lot of fruity tartness. I REALLY liked it. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

I think these were the BEST wings I've ever had. Came here from the spectrum centre just to grab a bite. I got the garlic Parmesan wings and the peach sweet tea. The wings were actually GF no reaction and the tea was so good. The people that work there were super nice and warm. I would like to come back soon to try the tacos. My friends had the lemonade and Spicy chicken melt (it's super spicy so beware.) but they loved their meal as well. The people were super nice and I am so glad that the food matched their vibe. 10/10/10

Here is what I liked everything but it had too much goat cheese for my taste - it tasted more like goat cheese sammy with a few mushrooms but still overall it was good. Next time I would ask for a lighter spread of the goat cheese possibly eliminating all together. The fries were hand-cut n fried fresh as were the onion rings in an ever so light batter! The staff/owners are very friendly! One warning if you try to call in an order - DON'T lol no one ever picks up!
I finally got to try Mad Dash after waiting for forever lol! I was so excited they moved to the Market at 7th Street. I stopped by during Eat BLK CLT Festival and ordered their mambo wings and fries. Both were really good! I definitely want to come back and try a few other menu items for sure. They were super busy so the food took a while to come out. I love that the garage attached to the market validates for 90 minutes. That's always a win while Uptown. There's plenty of tables and seating inside the market too. Looking forward to checking them out again soon.

Parking is validated for 2hrs (talk to person at register concerning your ticket) The person at the register provided great service. We had the mad patty melt with onion rings. The patty melt was juicy and flavorful (wish it had American cheese instead if cheddar) the onion needed some seasoning. She scolded me and said she didn't mark it ready yet. It isn't what she said it's how she said it. My order said ready at 12:45. I continued waiting at the pick up spot, and watched her berate several other patrons. Food was great, the vibe is on point as far as the atmosphere, but the girl at the register gives mean girl vibes. Won't matter how good the food is, with her RBF being the first thing you see. Not impressed.
Located in the bustling 7th Street Market, Mad Dash has a relatively small menu that is packed with different flavors. Burgers, street tacos, loaded fries, you could describe them as a local elevated fast food joint. Most recently I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the Dasher Chicken Sandwich with a side of onion rings. Made for a great lunch! If you don't feel like stopping by the market they also partner with Uber eats to deliver, so next time you're tempted to door dash some McDonald's maybe try supporting this local gem instead.
A year later and I stand by my review. Tried the burger, and it was HUGE and seasoned well on a thick, soft roll. It had to be a half pound burger cooked to perfection. I thought it was going to be dry, but it was moist. I did add onion and mustard. The onion rings were thick and crispy, too. It was a delectable bite.
While visiting uptown we decided to stop at 7th street market for the variety of food options. I chose Mad Dash and I was impressed. The food was delicious. I ordered a chicken sandwich for me and it was so crispy I even kept the pickles on my sandwich which I typically remove but these were so crunchy I chose to keep them on. The inside was perfect on the sandwich just the right amount of juicy. The fries were nice and crispy I had to rub some salt off but other than that they were good. My little ones enjoyed the wings and fries I order for them. I look forward to giving this place another try.
The Dasher might be the best fried chicken sando in Charlotte and, if it's not, it's at least top 5. Great service and quality food a price you can't beat. I appreciate what Chef Corey is doing in the kitchen and the fresh onion rings were enough to make me contemplate slapping my mama. But, I wanted to live another day, so I just enjoyed every bit of my food instead. Don't walk. Run! He has other items on his menu that I can't wait to try...like his wings. They've gotta be winners too!
Ordered the Mad Dash Burger and Mumbo Number Fries. I was super impressed with my food. The burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The bacon on the burger is heavenly. Plus the bun is saturated with butter adding to each bite of the burger. The Mumbo Number Fries has a sweet and spicy sauce on them that is tasty. My niece really enjoyed this dish. Overall Mad Dash is definitely a must try. Their flavor combos are outstanding. Chef Corey knows what he's doing. I have to return soon because I want to try the Mushy Goat Melt and the Dash Chicken Sandwich. Mad Dash has amazing sandwiches, wings, and salads! Everything was delicious, and the place was clean and welcoming. The owner, Corey, and his employees were all so friendly and made us feel right at home. I also love that they offer gluten-free bread and can make any of their sandwiches with it. Finally made it over to Mad Dash before they relocate to the Truist building. I had the turkey burger with mushrooms, caramelized onions, pickles, etc., lemon pepper wings and garlic Parmesan wings....all amazing! The new location will also offer breakfast. read more

Awesome new spot inside of The City Kitch, which is a new ghost kitchen concept, where a few restaurants share a kitchen. You order your food on their website and when you get to the city kitch, you can grab the bag with your name on it. Super easy process! I ordered and it was ready in 15 minutes. This is probably the best chicken sandwich I've had in Charlotte. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sauce was amazing, the pickles and cole slaw were crisp and refreshing! The bun was perfectly toasted. Everything was so good! Can't wait to come back! read more

In the last week or so, this place has started blowing up my Instagram feed. I got a recommendation from a trusted friend and decided it was time to check it out. Covid-19: you order and pay online. They are located inside of City Kitch and there's no physical restaurant. I wasn't 100% sure what to do when I got there. I couldn't find a phone number. Luckily, a couple of minutes after I walked inside, they came out with my order. We got the Mushy Goat Melt, Pork Belly Tacos, Thrifty Shrimp Tacos, and Mambo Number Fries. I was blown away by how good everything was. I think the Pork Belly Tacos were my favorite followed by the Mushy Goat Melt, but it's really hard to say. The flavors were amazing. I loved the Mambo sauce on the fries. These are some of my favorite non-mexican tacos in Charlotte. Do yourself a favor and go try this place ASAP. You won't regret it. read more

Mad Dash offers some solid sliders with great flavor, but the bread-to-filling ratio could use a tweak--the bread is a bit too thick, overshadowing the juicy goodness inside. That said, the quality is still there, and it's worth a try if you're in the mood for a quick bite! read more

Mad Dash easily makes it to the top 5 restaurants I've tried during quarantine. I am blown away with how delicious everything my wife and I shared it was. We loved the pork belly tacos, thrifty shrimp tacos, mushy goat melt, and the mambo number fries. I think my favorite was the mushy goat melt but it's tough because the pork belly tacos were likewise amazing. read more
I walked into seventh Street market and immediately was unsure what I was going to eat. I reviewed all the menus and decided on Mad Dash because of all of the options they had on the menu. I opted for the Mumbo number fries, chicken loaded fries. The loaded fries were amazing, The chicken was delicious and seasoned well, I'm so glad I ordered it I'll definitely be back to try some other foods!!! read more

I'm here to let y'all know where to get the best local chicken fried sandwich in Charlotte! For $12 with a side this sandwich is a steal. You get buttermilk fried chicken, cole slaw, house-made pickles, and dash sauce on a challah bun. I choose to get fries as my side but you can also get onion rings, thyme salted chips or more cole slaw! The chicken is perfectly fried with a light breading. The sauce is complimentary but honestly I would devour this sandwich without the sauce. The pickles are a nice crunch, extra flavor and that challah bun is toasted and buttery. If you've had the one from Boxcar Betty's and Bossy Beulah's - I'm telling you this one is superior in all ways. RUN don't walk to City Kitch for this sandwich and thank me later. And if you haven't been to City Kitch before - it's super easy! You order online via Mad Dash's website then drive to City Kitch (right next to Counter), walk in and your order will be right on Mad Dash's shelf! read more

What a find! This has got to be one of the best chicken sandwiches in the Charlotte area As a self-proclaimed chicken sandwich connoisseur, I have traveled far and wide to try chicken sandwiches with my wife. Mad Dash is up there with the best of them, and we've had Howling Rays, Dave's Hot Chicken, Fuku, Hot Lola's and more! We opted for the melt instead of the chicken sando, and we were not disappointed! The chicken itself is flavorful and not dry at all. The dash sauce adds a depth of flavor to the sandwich. It's hot but not inedibly so. And best of all, it's only $12 with a side! The Mushy Goat (vegetarian mushroom, goat cheese, and spinach?) sandwich was also a hit. The subtle tang of caramelized onions with the goat cheese and mushrooms is such an amazing combination. We are mushroom lovers, but I think anyone can get down with this! The Mad Dash loaded fries with pork belly were also very good. The dash sauce with the fries is just what the doctor ordered. Top that with some jalapeños and green onions, and you've got a balanced meal! just kidding, but it did make me feel a little better about gorging myself. The pork belly didn't seem to add much depth to the fries, so I'll probably try the Mumbo fries with fried chicken next time. All in all, everything was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Corey at the pickup. It's great to see people living their dreams and putting out delicious food! Charlotte's food scene just keeps evolving, and I am loving it! read more

Great service! They explained the menu and answered our many questions. Everything is delicious so it was hard to choose. We went with the wings, mumbo number fries, and pork belly tacos. Everything was fresh and flavored amazingly. We also tried their flavored lemonades and they were delicious, they have a variety of flavors to choose from. Make sure you get your parking validated from them when you check out. read more

Probably one of the WORST lunches I have ever had.. the patty melt disgusting! Not even sure what meat they used for it, the fries were COLD and so were the onion rings. The onion rings literally fell apart and was burned.... The passion fruit lemonade was literally syrup...I couldn't drink it.... read more
